Only Jack did not move, because he simply had no need to.

His current strength was already enough to protect himself. The boost from the Merfolk Potion meant little to him. Besides, he was not one of these small fry. Before boarding the ship, he had already been a renowned pirate in his own right. He had ambitions of his own.

The others did not voice any opinions about Jack's lack of action either. The Walking Corpses scattered throughout the ship were explanation enough.

The nineteen crewmen quickly completed their first transformation. One after another, they swung their arms, clenched and unclenched their fists, feeling the sudden surge of power within them.

Yang Mu did not comment on their choice either. No matter what they chose, it made little difference to him.

Just as they transformed, the Undead had already spread its black mist and headed toward the merchant ship ahead.

"Fire! Fire!"

A lookout aboard the merchant ship stared through his telescope as the crewmen aboard the Undead transformed one after another into ferocious Fishmen, and he shouted himself hoarse.

Bang! Bang! Bang!... The merchant ship kept firing its cannons, but once the shots entered the black mist, splashes soon followed. None struck the Undead.

Bang! Crack, crack, crack! Suddenly, everyone aboard the merchant ship felt a violent jolt. The Undead's ram had already pierced its hull.

Jack, clad in Bone Armor and carrying two enormous pirate scimitars, was the first to charge aboard. Twenty Walking Corpses in heavy armor followed behind him.

Only then came the ordinary Walking Corpses. The crewmen who had just gained their power remained at the rear. They had not become arrogant simply because they had acquired strength.

Before this, they would certainly have acted as if heaven came first and they came second.
