Walking through the cold wind of a winter night~

Unfortunately, it wasn't winter night, and there was no cold wind.

Ah!

There was cold wind after all!

Every pane of glass on this entire floor had been shattered, blasted apart, smashed to bits... Anyway, not a single piece remained intact!

Breathing in the pungent sulfurous smoke, stepping over small chunks of broken wood and metal, Leon held Colt in his left hand and Rhino in his right. With a gun in each hand, he slowly made his way into the restaurant.

Or rather, what had once been a restaurant.

The moment he entered, Leon spotted someone pinned beneath a toppled decorative beast statue near the wall by the entrance... Hmm, Wolverine?

Don't mess with me here!!

After moving closer, he realized this guy was a fake!

He had the same hairstyle as Wolverine, but he clearly didn't have Wolverine's healing factor. He was covered in all sorts of wounds, as though, as though...

"Those damn fragmentation grenades are this useful?! Or was this guy just so unlucky that all the shrapnel hit him?!"

Looking carefully, the steel claws on this cosplay enthusiast's wrists weren't growing out of his hands either. They had been strapped to the backs of his wrists with some kind of device.

"Hmm, he doesn't even look right. This is way too damn shabby—he looks like some evolved owl! That yellow sweater! That green cape! Those thick fur boots!"

That outfit was absolutely made for disaster!

Leon was still examining him when the guy actually woke up. Shaking himself, he pushed up the rocks pinning him down. The big bad wolf raised his head and saw a freak standing before him: a wide-brimmed gentleman's hat, a black-and-white mask over his face, a short dyed chain trench coat on top, black jeans below. The freak was studying him with great interest.

What a damn outfit! No need to ask! Throwing grenades into a restaurant was obviously something this kind of person would do!

"You fucking—"

Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!!

Oh my, what kind of person was this! Cursing the moment he opened his mouth—what terrible manners!

Leon sprayed him right in the face.

The not-so-professional cosplay enthusiast had only just gotten to his feet. Before he could finish his curse, he went stiff and fell straight back down.

What a waste of my bullets!

These were the good stuff he'd prepared for Kingpin! Every single one was premium gear he'd scavenged!

Bullseye was a pretty good NPC. He had nothing but top-tier equipment!

Leon didn't bother with the unlucky kid on the floor. Dressed like that, he was obviously no good guy!

Besides, what decent person would have dinner with Kingpin?

Very unprofessionally, he tucked one gun under his armpit and freed a hand to reload the other.

"The gameplay experience sucks! There isn't even a weapon-switching reload mechanic!"

Leon suffered from insufficient-firepower anxiety. Even if a gun was missing only one bullet, he had to go through the full process of ejecting the magazine and reloading it.

Meticulous!!

"Dear Mr. Fisk~"

Leon continued searching slowly.

"Do you mind if there's one more person at the table? I'm actually pretty hungry too."

Bang!

A chunk of stone flew out of the smoke! It slammed viciously into the wall beside Leon's face and shattered.

He fired toward where the stone had come from. A constant clatter rang out, and Leon knew he'd hit some sort of defensive cover.

Carefully shifting sideways, Leon glanced at the crater in the wall behind him.

No need to ask—it had been thrown by Kingpin.

That guy's arm strength was simply inhuman! He definitely wasn't some ordinary man!

Leon figured that if it had hit him in the head just now, it would've been no different from getting smashed by a steam hammer.

No wonder he could trade blows with Spider-Man and the X-Men. It'd be downright absurd if someone like him could be defeated by Daredevil!

He bent slightly at the waist, making himself a smaller target while maintaining a better stance for exerting force.

Here it came!

Another stone flew over. Leon had exposed his position by firing earlier, and Kingpin would never just passively take the hits.

Bang!

The stone struck the wall and shattered into pieces.

Judging by the impact and the size of the crater, if that stone hit someone's face, an ordinary person would definitely have their head split open.

The smoke gradually dispersed. A breeze blew in through the utterly destroyed windows, carrying away some of the gunpowder smell while making the stench of blood even stronger.

Behind an overturned heavy dining table, a tall, muscular figure rose through the swirling smoke. Kingpin's bald head was covered in blood.

His ears, brow ridge, and cheek.

Blood streamed from the corners of his eyes and dripped from his chin. Dust and blood made him seem even more imposing, like an enraged lion glaring viciously at its prey!

Standing across from him, Leon was reaching under his mask to scratch his face. He'd stayed up too many nights lately, and pimples had broken out on his face. Scratching through the mask just didn't relieve the itch!

Kingpin slowly stepped out from behind the table and slowly reached up to take off his tattered suit jacket. He didn't have that many wounds, at least far fewer than the guy by the entrance.

Judging from the amount of bleeding, they weren't very deep either. It seemed he had protected himself immediately. Several enlarged, enhanced fragmentation grenades had taken out everyone in the room. Aside from the guy at the entrance, who had been farther away, only Kingpin hadn't suffered much injury.

"Ah! You must be Mr. Wilson Fisk! Dog-bred! Dog-bred!"

Leon still looked completely carefree as he cracked that tasteless joke.

Kingpin rolled up the sleeves of his white shirt and asked flatly, "You killed Wesley, didn't you?"

Leon repeatedly waved his hands with exaggerated movements, still holding a gun in each hand. His tone was wildly theatrical. "How can you slander an innocent man out of thin air!"

Then his tone abruptly turned serious. "Bullseye, that damned bastard, was obviously the one who did it!"

"Damn it! I was discussing how to drug you with Wesley... Ah, no! How to give you a gift! Then, bam, a huge nail came flying out of nowhere! If Wesley hadn't willingly blocked it for me, my face would've been ruined, you know!"

He wiped the back of his hand across his mouth, but missed. He'd gotten too carried away earlier and sprayed spit all over his mask.

Cough, cough!

After faking two coughs, Leon said, "But don't worry, Mr. Wilson! I just came from Bullseye's place, and I've already avenged Wesley for you!"

"No need to thank me!"

Kingpin's jaw muscles bulged, and his eyes narrowed.

"Bullseye... you killed him too?"

This time, it was phrased as a question.

"Yeah!"

Leon craned his neck and answered without hesitation.

"Killed him. But he committed suicide, and I even chipped in fifty cents for the funeral."

Holding guns made it inconvenient to rub his fingers together, but Leon still openly asked Kingpin, "It's only polite to reciprocate, right? I got a few little gifts from him. Mr. Wilson, do you like them?"

Kingpin said nothing. Crossing his arms in front of his face, he charged straight at Leon!

Leon fired both guns repeatedly while stepping backward, bullet after bullet striking Kingpin's body.

When the final bullet was spent, Kingpin finally reached Leon, drenched in blood from head to toe. Behind the arms he lowered was a savage grin!

He threw a punch!

Bang!!

A dull collision rang out!

Leon caught Kingpin's all-out punch, the one meant to kill him.

The two locked each other in place. One stood over two meters tall, broad-backed and burly, blood streaming down his body. The other was a full head shorter, looking frail and slight by comparison.

Yet despite the obvious difference in appearance, the two were evenly matched in this contest of strength.

Leon suddenly relaxed his strength. Before Kingpin could pull back in time, Leon smashed his forehead into Kingpin's nose, sending blood gushing from it as Kingpin staggered back.

Kicking away the gun at his feet, Leon cracked his fingers and rolled his neck. "Surprised, Kingpin?"

Kingpin lifted his head. Blood had soaked through the collar of his shirt. Added to his previous injuries and the shots Leon had landed on him, he looked utterly miserable!

"Indeed. What a surprise..."

Looking at the "frail" Leon, Kingpin said with unclear meaning.
