"That's your own fault, isn't it?" Filch said, his voice gleeful. "You should have thought about those werewolves before you got into trouble, shouldn't you, sir?"
Hagrid still carried his giant crossbow, with a quiver full of arrows slung over his shoulder.
"It's about time, they're my responsibility now, you can leave," Hagrid said to Filch, then handed a lantern to Muya.
Filch glanced at them and then entered the castle.
Draco turned to Hagrid, his face full of terror. "I don't want to go into that Forbidden Forest!"
Muya grabbed Draco's trembling hand and comforted him, "I'll go with you, Draco."
Although she was a little scared too.
Hagrid led them to the edge of the Forbidden Forest and shone the lantern on the ground. "Look over there, do you see the silver, shimmering liquid on the ground? That's unicorn blood."
"Something in the Forbidden Forest injured a unicorn, it's badly hurt. This is the second time this week. Last Wednesday, one was found dead. We need to find that poor unicorn and end its suffering."
Muya noticed Draco flinch and asked Hagrid, "What if the thing that hurt the unicorn suddenly appears and attacks us?"
"As long as you're with me or Fang, no creature in the Forbidden Forest will harm you," Hagrid said.
Muya put her hand to her forehead. She felt Hagrid was a bit overconfident. Although he was huge and Fang looked ferocious, the Forbidden Forest was vast, and everything was unknown.
"Alright, we'll split into two groups and follow the bloodstains separately."
Draco peeked out. "I choose Fang!" He looked at Fang's long teeth and decisively made his choice.
"Okay, I have to warn you, he's a coward. You go with Mya Mu and Harry, and I'll go with Hermione." He had already planned for Muya to take the lead because of her talent for getting close to magical creatures.
"If you find the unicorn, fire green sparks. If you encounter trouble, fire red sparks. Now, take out your wands and practice."
It was pitch black inside the Forbidden Forest, and the surroundings were silent. They walked in, and when they reached the fork in the road, the two groups separated.
The three of them walked silently, their eyes occasionally fixed on the ground. Moonlight filtered through the leaves, illuminating the silver blood on the ground and fallen leaves.
"Mya Mu, do you really think a werewolf hurt the unicorn?" Harry asked.
Muya shook her head. "I don't know."
"Behave, Fang." Draco couldn't pull Fang along anymore. He didn't know what was around them that had attracted Fang and made him so lively.
"Look, the bloodstains are denser ahead. That unicorn must be nearby," Harry said excitedly.
As expected, after a few more steps, they saw it lying on the grass, its wound still bleeding.
"Oh, we finally found it! We can leave this cursed place and go back to sleep." This was the happiest Draco had been since entering the Forbidden Forest.
Muya had Harry fire green sparks, then they went to check the unicorn's injuries. The unicorn let out a soft cry when it saw them and nuzzled Muya's hand with its head.
Muya petted it and then used a healing spell to simply treat its wound. At least it wasn't bleeding anymore.
"Now, we just need to wait quietly here for Hagrid to come," Muya said, sitting beside the unicorn.
Harry and Draco exchanged a look, then turned away and sat beside the unicorn.
Suddenly, Fang started barking, and a dark shadow flashed by. All three of them drew their wands. Draco shouted, "Who, who's there?!"
"Petrificus Totalus!" Muya aimed her wand in one direction and shot. An unknown figure in a black cloak leaped out from the bushes.
Harry felt a sharp pain in his forehead, as if his scar were on fire.
Draco let out a choked scream. Muya was also startled. Her intuition told her that the dark figure was the one who had injured the unicorn, but what could three first-year students do?
Just as the black cloak was about to approach them, a hoofbeat sounded. With a "whoosh," an arrow shot towards the dark figure. The figure darted into the woods, and the arrow lodged itself in a tree.
A centaur walked past Muya. He had platinum blonde hair and looked very young. "How are you? Are you alright?"
"We're fine, thank you," the three of them quickly thanked him.
"Oh Merlin, I finally found you." It was Hagrid and Hermione's voices. Hermione hugged Muya tightly when she saw her.
Two more centaurs appeared behind Hagrid. They seemed to know the centaur who had saved Muya and the others.
"Firenze, we need to get them out of here quickly."
"Oh Bane, I know. Look, this is Potter's child. By the way, what's your name?" Firenze asked.
"Harry, Harry Potter." Harry took off his hand, feeling that his scar had stopped hurting.
"Oh, and Snape, Bane, they also saved a unicorn," Firenze said, looking at the unicorn that was now lying on the ground.
"I think so," Snape glanced at Bane.
The unicorn suddenly stood up. It kissed the top of Muya's head, then bowed, and a silver light entered her body.
Everyone present was stunned. "Young lady, you have received the Unicorn's Blessing. Congratulations," Firenze said.
"Thank you," Muya said, stroking the unicorn's fur.
"Please call me Mya Mu, Mr. Firenze."
Draco returned Fang to Hagrid. He was still immersed in the scene of Muya bathed in silver light.
Harry and Hermione were the same.
On the way out of the Forbidden Forest, Harry asked Firenze who the dark figure was and why it wanted to kill the unicorn.
They learned earth-shattering news.
"Harry, hurry up, we're almost at the edge of the Forbidden Forest," Muya beckoned to Harry.
"Good luck, Harry Potter." Firenze left after seeing them out.
Harry didn't dare tell anyone else the news he had just learned, but Muya noticed Harry's abnormality; he was trembling so violently that anyone would have noticed him.
"Harry, what's wrong?"
Draco raised an eyebrow, "Don't tell me you were so scared just now that you haven't recovered yet."
Muya rubbed her forehead. Weren't you also so shocked just now that your mouth hung open and you couldn't speak?
"Harry, what did Firenze say to you just now?" Hermione hit the nail on the head, as he had only been walking with Harry.
The four of them happened to reach the main entrance of the castle at this moment. "I have some bad news," Harry looked at them with a complex expression.
