Shrouded beneath an enormous cloak, Minato Namikaze looked at the streets of Konoha and felt as though a lifetime had passed.
In truth, he had already believed Uchiha Shunichi from the moment Shunichi used Flying Thunder God to return to Konoha.
But until he met Tsunade, Minato had no intention of handing over the Nine-Tails. When he sealed half of the Nine-Tails inside himself, he had anticipated that this day might come.
That was why he had to choose the person who would inherit the tailed beast with great care.
"How does it feel to return to Konoha after so many years?" Uchiha Shunichi made small talk as he led Minato Namikaze toward the Hokage Building.
"The village has changed a lot, but plenty of things have stayed the same." Minato spotted Ichiraku Ramen beside the street, and his thoughts seemed to drift back into the past.
Back then, Kushina had loved the ramen at that shop.
Inside the Hokage's Office, Tsunade was in a fury. Karin had just reported that Uchiha Shunichi had left Konoha.
His actions inevitably reminded Tsunade of Orochimaru. Although she had not been in Konoha at the time, Orochimaru had also suddenly decided to leave the village.
Knock! Knock! Knock! Someone knocked on the door, forcing the furious Tsunade to suppress her anger. It was wartime, after all, and Konoha still had so much to deal with. She simply had no time to be angry.
"Come in..." Tsunade steadied her emotions, then raised her head to look at the visitor. Her expression changed dramatically!
