An Unexpected Deal, Obtaining Kara's Genes

Time passed quickly while Zhang Tianran immersed himself in research, and the various conflicts outside failed to affect him at all.

In fact, under the Department of Extranormal Operations' close "protection," virtually no aliens came looking to cause trouble for Zhang Tianran.

Zhang Tianran replied coldly, "Unfortunately, this is not my world. And I... do not actually want to help you."

Kara was furious, but the crisis before her left her with no choice but to continue compromising.

"Help me, and I can provide you with my genes. But you must swear that you will not conduct any evil modification experiments on my genes." Kara barely suppressed the anger in her heart as she proposed the deal.

As for the reason... Kryptonian genes were not so easy to study. Without Kryptonian technology, researching Kryptonian genes could very likely unleash another kind of monster.

This so-called Great Purge was far too dangerous. They had to stop it by any means necessary, which was why Kara had sought Zhang Tianran's help at Martian Manhunter's urging.
