Kushina let out a soft "Mm," her whole body stiffening for a moment before slowly relaxing.

After kissing for a long while, Mirai finally let her go, resting his forehead against hers.

"Kushina."

"What...?"

"Thank you. You're so good to me."

"Cut it out!" Kushina shoved him away and turned her head aside, pouting. "Hurry up! Don't keep her waiting too long! Hmph!"

Mirai smiled and turned toward the Uchiha Clan Grounds.

Kushina's voice came from behind him. "You don't need to come back tonight! I mean it!"

"Got it, Kana!"

When Mirai arrived at the entrance to the Uchiha Clan Grounds, Naori happened to be coming out.

She was wearing light-colored casual clothes today. Her hair was loose, long and straight over her shoulders, and she wore little to no makeup, looking fresh and clean.

When she saw Mirai standing at the entrance, a smile involuntarily appeared on her face as she slowly walked over.

"Mirai, why are you here?"

"I came to take you shopping." Mirai held out his hand to her. "Let's go."

Naori looked at his hand, then at his face. The corners of her lips curved as she placed her hand in his.

The two of them wandered Konoha's streets for the entire afternoon.

They went to a dango shop, a ninja tool store, watched the water by the river for a while, then took a stroll through the small woods west of the village.

Naori was usually not very talkative, but when she was with Mirai, she spoke much more than usual.

She pointed at a shop and said, "My sister brought me here before," and when she saw a ninja training, she would comment, "His hand seal sequence is wrong."

Mirai listened, occasionally responding, and occasionally just smiling.
