Kurenai pursed her lips but said nothing more.

On the way, Rin came up beside him. "Mirai, what are you going to teach us?"

"Konan will focus on Paper Release, Kurenai on Genjutsu, and Rin on Medical Ninjutsu." Mirai counted them off on his fingers. "Put you three together, and we've got scouting and offense, battlefield control, and support. Perfect."

"That sounds amazing." Rin nodded in agreement. She was interested in Medical Ninjutsu herself.

Kurenai walked at the back, listening to Mirai lay out their paths. She said nothing, but she was a little surprised.

This Jonin instructor seemed to have done his homework. He wasn't just here to coast.

Her Yuhi family did favor a fighting style that combined Genjutsu with Taijutsu.

When they reached the training ground, Mirai took two bells from his ninja tool pouch and twirled them in his hand.

"This is a Konoha tradition." He dangled the bells in front of the three of them. "Take these from me and you pass. If you don't—"

He paused, looking at the expectant faces of the three girls before him.

Konan's eyes sparkled, Rin looked utterly serious,
