Ark Simulator, Don't I Have No Physical Form? Chapter 102
"So, we're definitely going to have to fight this guy, don't you think?"
Volume 4, Chapter 210: The Understanding Between Ifrit and Su Rui
"I understand, I'll choose this one."
Saria glanced at Su Rui's plans and nodded. She had to admit that while Su Rui's electronics skills were indeed impressive, the prison had also made many preparations.
The structure of Mansfield State Prison made it impossible for Su Rui to use technology to separate the guards.
Even if closing the gates can isolate some of the prison guards, there will inevitably still be some blocking Saria and the others' path.
Saria is very strong, but Silence and the others may not have much fighting power. Therefore, even for Silence safety, Saria chose a more prudent approach.
After all, dealing with one Jeston is much easier than protecting Silence and the others from multiple attacks by different prison guards.
Having made her decision, Su Rui nodded.
"Okay, I'll send the message to Silence. As for Kafka and the others, it was agreed before that Silence would contact them. Oh, and I've removed the restraints from them, so it won't affect their combat effectiveness, and it won't show up on the prison guards' system."
"Thank you for your hard work." Saria nodded, a hint of tenderness in her eyes, and then walked towards the designated location.
Mansfield State Prison is now nearing the Mobile City.
While the prison guards were indeed somewhat nervous about this, it wasn't difficult for Su Rui and her friends.
Moreover, Su Rui has a different perspective on this issue:
"Look, if Mansfield State Prison is getting close to the Mobile City, doesn't that mean the guards will soon be resting and changing shifts? That might make them more restless and easier to deal with."
'At times like these, criminals are most likely to try to escape, so prison guards should be on high alert.'
Saria didn't quite agree with Su Rui's opinion.
"No, no, not everyone is as serious and dedicated as you, Saria. Most people just live day by day, and when things are about to relax, some of the prison guards will definitely become lax."
"That makes sense, but that doesn't stop us from still choosing the safest plan, does it?"
"Of course, I was just telling you."
Su Rui nodded, while Saria returned to her dormitory to check on Ifrit's situation.
Then, when Saria opened the door, she saw Ifrit studying diligently.
"Good job, Ifrit, you're very good."
Saria smiled as she approached Ifrit, reaching out to stroke the little girl's hair. At the same time, Saria was somewhat puzzled; when had Ifrit become so well-behaved?
However, it's probably because Ifrit has been through a lot. After all, being chased and forced to run away, and then sneaking into the prison to cause some big trouble, must have put a lot of pressure on the young girl.
Saria attributed Ifrit's obedience to Ifrit becoming more mature due to pressure, but when she reached out to stroke Ifrit, she didn't see Ifrit blinking at the phone placed in the corner.
Actually, Ifrit had just been playing a game with Su Rui. The two of them were cooperating quite well. With Su Rui helping with the calculations, even mobile phones could run games that required high-performance graphics cards.
So Su Rui and Ifrit had a great time, and with Su Rui's intelligence work, Saria was completely unaware of Su Rui Ifrit interactions.
Of course, all of this is on the premise that Ifrit actually completes her task. Su Rui is very serious about this. Since he has to attend classes properly, there's no reason why Ifrit shouldn't.
At this moment, sitting next to Saria, Ifrit sat in a chair, gently swinging her legs, and asked cheerfully:
"Saria, how's your operation going? I heard Mansfield State Prison is almost at the next Mobile City. Are you about to start your operation as well?"
"You don't need to worry too much about Ifrit," Saria said, smoothing Ifrit's hair.
"We'll handle all of this; you just need to pack your things."
Ifrit nodded cheerfully. "Okay, I got it! But most of my luggage is with Su Rui, so there's no need to pack."
So, the next thing to do is prepare for the prison break, right? Su Rui said that if possible, she could also witness some exciting close-quarters combat, which made Ifrit quite excited.
Although most people think she's a bit silly, Ifrit is actually quite smart; at the very least, her logical thinking is quite sound.
Saria nodded, went to her bedside, and packed away some personal belongings. It was best to check before starting to make sure no important personal items were left behind.
Just as Saria was being examined, Su Rui's voice rang in her ear:
"Alright, no need to look anymore. I've already packed up all your personal belongings. Here's a scan of your room and a list of your personal items; I've already compiled them."
'Hmm.' Saria's gaze swept over her underwear and some personal belongings, and she couldn't help but feel a little shy.
But she didn't show it. Instead, she felt happy about the intimacy between herself and Su Rui. They had become so close that they could discuss these things directly without feeling awkward.
Now that the checkup was over, Saria glanced at the time and Ifrit to Evelyn, who had already packed her things and was sitting on the soft bed, looking at her expectantly.
"Ready? In that case, we should set off."
"Yay! I've been here for so long, I'm so bored. There are so many places where I can't move around freely, and staying in the dorm and school all day is so annoying."
As Ifrit said this, she got up and followed Saria.
The little girl had initially thought she would be embarking on a fairly exciting infiltration and escape mission with Saria.
But to Ifrit's surprise, with Su Rui's Scanning Vision support, they managed to avoid almost all the prison guards along the way.
Even if they did encounter one or two, they were easily fooled.
This disappointed Ifrit somewhat. After arriving at a relatively quiet place, Ifrit couldn't help but mutter a complaint under her breath:
"I thought it was going to be a very exciting experience."
"This isn't a game, and such covert operations are best left uninteresting."
Su Rui's voice came through the earpiece. Although she didn't quite agree, Ifrit. After all, Su Rui could control the people she played games with, and she couldn't afford to offend her, or she wouldn't be able to play any games.
Volume 4, Chapter 211: It's like...
Soon, Silence, Kafka, Saria, Robin, and the Big Cat that had been found had all gathered at the entrance to the tunnel leading to the outside world of Mansfield.
"Ifrit!" Upon seeing Ifrit, Silence immediately went to the little girl's side, pressed Ifrit's shoulder, and carefully checked her for injuries.
Su Rui quietly observed the scene, then suddenly spoke:
"Look at Silence's wings, don't they look like a hen cradling medical bills in its arms?"
Because of her atavism, one of Silence's arms is actually shaped like an owl's wing. Although this makes it inconvenient to reach for things at times, it makes it easier for Silence to hold Ifrit in her arms.
Saria glanced at the simple sketch of an eagle catching chicks that Su Rui had shown her. Silence held it up like a protective mother, and it did indeed look very much like the image of someone who wanted to hold her in their arms.
However, Saria's serious personality made her reluctant to laugh. After all, she gave off a serious and earnest impression, and Saria wanted to maintain that aura.
So she was having a hard time suppressing her laughter.
At this moment, Jeston had long been marked in Su Rui's Scanning Vision but thought he was well hidden, stepped out from the corner, swirling the red wine in his glass while letting out what he thought was an elegant laugh:
"I never expected this. The head of Rhine Lab's defense department, Saria, would actually come here in person just to save a not-so-important company heir?"
As Jeston spoke, he looked towards the mountain, because the Big Cat had already rushed out the moment it saw him.
However, although Su Rui had removed the prisoner restraints from Big Cat, without weapons, Big Cat's combat power was still insufficient against Jeston, who possessed Originium Arts and had undergone modifications.
Thus, with the power and destructive force brought by Originium Arts, Jeston easily knocked the Big Cat to the ground and threw it aside, then turned his gaze to Saria.
"Saria, do you remember when you rejected my job application?"
"I remember, but you didn't pass because you didn't meet Rhine Lab's hiring requirements."
Saria didn't show any emotional fluctuation because of Jeston's problem. Saria had guessed that this scene would probably happen when Su Rui gathered information about Jeston.
Meanwhile, Jeston on the other side began his aria-like questioning, but that wasn't important. What truly puzzled and surprised Saria was that Su Rui, along with Jeston, spoke almost in unison:
"I've always had a slight doubt about whether you're truly stronger than me."
'... What are you doing?'
Saria's expression was strange, and she couldn't help but wonder in her mind why Su Rui was saying the same thing as Jeston.
"Because that sentence is just too funny, cough cough. Anyway, don't think too much about it. Isn't he coming over to fight? Teach him a lesson, just three punches will do!"
Su Rui cheered in Saria's mind, urging her to get started.
'All right.'
Saria caught Jeston's fist and slammed it into his chest, piercing through the guard's armor and iron-plated protection.
Su Rui even slowed down the image of the ferritic material being penetrated in Jeston and then annotated it:
"This is his weakness; we can incapacitate him without causing serious harm."
"Hmm." Saria nodded, dodging Jeston's pursuit while punching him to the ground. Her body convulsed with excruciating pain. Jeston stared wide-eyed at Saria before slowly collapsing to the ground.
Now he doesn't even have a chance to use his Originium Arts to fight Saria at full power. But even if he did have the chance, it wouldn't make much difference, since Saria would easily defeat him anyway.
With that in mind, Su Rui took one last look at Jeston's condition. "Okay, it's all taken care of. He'll probably be unconscious for a while before waking up. That's enough time for us to escape from here. Besides, those prison guards might not believe him."
Su Rui with a hint of schadenfreude, "Do you think I should send Jeston's identity information to the Mansfield State Prison database? That way, the people here will immediately know that he infiltrated as a spy."
"It's up to you to decide. Oh, and try not to cause too much damage to the database."
After all, there are quite a few criminals in the prison who were brought in for legitimate crimes. If it has any impact on Mansfield State Prison and these criminals escape, it would be bad.
"Don't worry, don't worry, who am I? I definitely won't cause any trouble."
Su Rui said smugly, and he certainly had the right to say so, "The database here is like a naked beauty to me, completely at my mercy."
"What an outrageous description!" Saria thought helplessly, but she didn't say anything for the moment. She simply nodded silently, then looked at Silence and Ifrit beside her, and nodded to the others.
"Alright, let's hurry up and go. Someone's coming to meet us outside."
So the group entered the tunnel and headed out of Mansfield.
Halfway through their journey, Kafka, who was following them, glanced around with some confusion:
"Is it just my imagination? I have this feeling that the guards at Mansfield State Prison are a little too well-behaved?"
"Why do you say that?" Silence looked at Kafka with a puzzled expression, not understanding what she meant, but Silence could still understand the worry about danger implied in her words.
Kafka held up one finger and said matter-of-factly:
"Of course it's because of the alarm! We've been out for so long, and we even slowed down to conserve your energy. Logically, the guards should have spotted us and sounded the alarm by now."
Silence nodded thoughtfully, while Kafka continued to speculate, "So I wonder if they've already noticed us and are planning to ambush us at the end of the passage?"
Kafka's speculation immediately made the rest of the group, including Silence, nervous, except for Saria and Ifrit.
Ifrit had absolute faith in Su Rui's abilities, and as for Saria, she could see Su Rui's Scanning Vision. Although the prison guards were in an uproar, they hadn't guessed their escape route.
Su Rui couldn't help but speak up:
"Of course it's because I turned off the prison's alarm system. At least the prison won't sound an alarm about our escape."
Volume 4, Chapter 212: Saria: Where's my Su Rui?!
Su Rui's sudden voice from her phone startled everyone present. However, Ifrit relaxed when she noticed that Su Rui was finally speaking in front of everyone, and excitedly took out her phone to talk to Su Rui.
But Silence reached out and took Ifrit's phone, stuffing it back into Ifrit's pocket, and said in a gentle but undeniable tone:
"Ifrit, you can't use your phone."
"I just wanted to talk to Su Rui, I promise, I won't play games, okay, Silence?"
Ifrit looked a little aggrieved, then gave Silence a pleading look, staring at Silence expectantly before taking her phone out of her pocket again.
Silence looked at Ifrit's phone in surprise; the screen lit up automatically and a greeting emoji appeared.
"You're Su Rui? So, all that intelligence about Saria, and all the help we've received these past few days, was it all your doing?"
Silence's tone softened as she thanked Su Rui, "Thank you."
"Oh, no problem. We're almost out. Are you sure you don't want to focus on escaping first?"
With Su Rui's reminder, the others finally came to their senses. Kafka, however, wasn't as quick to react as his aunt; he simply moved closer to Ifrit, wanting to reach out and peek at the screen.
"Hi Su Rui, I'm Kafka. You're really capable! I think we could team up and do something big together sometime!"
Before Su Rui could answer Kafka's invitation, Saria interrupted her with a frown:
"This ability isn't for robbing banks."
As she spoke, Saria gently pulled Ifrit to her side, separating Kafka from her:
"Alright, we should leave quickly."
"Okay, okay, it's just a thought." Kafka shrugged, not refuting Saria, and just continued walking with her with a grin.
