Ark Simulator, Aren't I Supposed to Have No Physical Form? Chapter 136
"What are you going to do?" Just a second ago, Zofia felt like she was about to say something, but after seeing Su Rui's gaze, she subconsciously became speechless again, so she changed the subject.
"I'm going to add some rum and sugar to my coffee."
Su Rui said something, then turned and went into the kitchen. She quickly came out and sat down next to Zofia again.
"..." Zofia and Su Rui were drinking coffee and eating breakfast, and for a while they didn't have much to talk about. Su Rui didn't seem to mind, but Zofia felt a little awkward.
To find a topic to talk about, Zofia racked her brains and finally remembered what Su Rui had just said:
"By the way, Su Rui, what games do you usually play?"
"Adventure RPGs, I guess? I actually like both action and pixel games."
Su Rui said casually, quickly finished her breakfast, clapped her hands, and stood up:
"Alright... I think you need to go and rest too."
Although Zofia didn't have any dark circles under her eyes yet, Su Rui could tell her current condition just by glancing at her physiological data.
"I'm fine. Staying up late isn't something that happens to me by chance."
Zofia didn't seem to care much about Su Rui's reminder, but Su Rui simply put her dishes in the kitchen to clean them up and then went straight to her.
"What's wrong?" Zofia was taken aback when she saw Su Rui walking towards her, and looked up at the beautiful white-haired, red-eyed boy in front of her.
Could it be that Su Rui has feelings for me? Although she told herself that such thoughts were wrong, Zofia couldn't help but have this expectation.
Then, when she looked up at Su Rui, she noticed that Su Rui was observing her with a scrutinizing gaze, as if he were considering where to make his move.
Su Rui remained silent, which made Zofia a little nervous. "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you trying to knock me out?"
"Hmm, after all, I'm currently thinking about how much force to use and where to hit you so you can fall asleep peacefully."
"Huh?" Zofia had just shown a surprised expression when Su Rui delivered a swift chop to the neck in a perfectly placed spot. The precise strike put Zofia to a peaceful sleep without causing her any harm.
"The new body created by the Upper System is quite useful."
With that thought in mind, Su Rui picked up Zofia and carried Zofia upstairs to her bedroom.
After casually covering Zofia with a blanket, Su Rui went to the living room, took out a game console and controller from her System Space, and connected them to the television.
"Now, let me see how this body performs when used for playing games."
While Su Rui was playing games, a white figure entered the castle, pushing a blonde girl in a wheelchair, slowly walking in.
They even knocked politely on the door. Su Rui glanced at the Scanning Vision, confirmed they were from Rhodes Island, and casually replied:
"Okay, you can come in now~"
The people who came were Shining and Nightingale. Logically speaking, Su Rui shouldn't be familiar with them... She'll just say later that the two people at home are asleep.
Volume 5, Chapter 287: Zofia: This woman looks like she's not easy to deal with.
As Shining pushed Nightingale, who was in a wheelchair, into the room, they saw Su Rui playing a game.
Su Rui, holding the game controller without turning to look at them, said, "Zofia and Maria are still sleeping, so if you have something to say, you should wait a bit. There shouldn't be anything particularly important right now, right?"
"No, there isn't any. Let's wait here for a while."
Shining's voice, as calm as still water, rang in her ears, startling Su Rui.
"Don't suddenly speak in my ear, it's scary."
Su Rui hesitated for a moment, then thought of something, "Could it be that you've known me since Kazdel?"
"... Um."
Shining nodded, Su Rui continued operating his game controller, but suddenly felt the fluffy horse ears on his head twitch. Slender, long, and slightly cold fingers stroked the ears on his head, causing Su Rui to tremble in dissatisfaction.
"Don't touch my ears!"
Su Rui, annoyed, twitched her ears and tapped Shining's fingers with her horse ears, trying to get her to let go.
However, Shining did not release Su Rui's ears; instead, she turned around and pushed Nightingale next to Su Rui.
"This is the first time I've ever seen Su Rui like this."
"Really? So you've seen me as a Sarkaz?"
Su Rui glanced up at Shining beside her, noticing that Shining didn't answer, but didn't pay much attention, continuing to operate the game controller:
"You're here, which means Margaret is back too, right? Where is she?"
"Margaret is still helping out at Rhodes Island; she'll come over with the Doctor."
"Hmm, that's fine too. Although it's a little different from what I expected, it still fits my plan quite well."
After all, in Su Rui's plan, there was no place for Margaret in the two-on-two match; Maria could go alone, and with that armor, there was absolutely no way she could lose.
Shining had no objection to Su Rui's statement, simply nodding before sitting down with Su Rui and Nightingale, watching the television screen to pass the time.
In fact, Su Rui felt that even without the game in front of her to attract her attention, Shining could sit here alone, do nothing, and stay here quietly all day.
Time passed by as Su Rui played games. Around noon, Su Rui glanced at the time and was about to pause the game to make some lunch and wake up Maria and Zofia, who were sleeping, when she smelled a delicious aroma coming from the kitchen.
"Hmm?" Su Rui turned her head towards the kitchen with some confusion, and then saw Shining and Nightingale busy in the kitchen... Nightingale?!
In Su Rui's memory, wasn't Nightingale supposed to have a leg problem?
With this thought in mind, Su Rui subconsciously scanned Nightingale's legs, only to find that there was nothing wrong with Nightingale's legs, and that she herself was fine.
What's going on?
Just as Su Rui was wondering, Nightingale noticed Su Rui's gaze and smiled at him:
"You cured me back then, though for you, that's probably in the future."
"Probably." Su Rui nodded, then mentally asked the Upper System, "So, Old Deng, can you tell me about the plan?"
[The next simulation will be in Kazdel.]
"So, does that mean Theresa will be the next host?"
The Upper System did not answer Su Rui's question, but simply placed a [] mark in Su Rui's field of vision.
"You must be up to something, right? If you weren't, you would have answered me directly just now!"
Su Rui's answer caused the Upper System to fall silent for a moment:
[The next simulation will be in Kazdel.]
"Don't think that just because you repeat the same thing again I'll assume you've lost your mind and stop suspecting you!"
But Su Rui's inner cries went unanswered; the Upper System had simply gone offline. It couldn't have crashed because of a few words from Su Rui after running for so long, could it?
"Tsk, Old Deng, you just wait, you'll show yourself to me eventually."
Su Rui snorted irritably and continued playing the game. Now that Shining and the others had prepared lunch, Su Rui could finally focus her time on her own things.
However, this quiet time for playing games didn't last long, because as time went by, Maria woke up, took a shower, changed her clothes, and came downstairs.
And then there's Zofia; although her sleep times aren't entirely consistent, she wakes up around the same time every day.
Zofia followed behind Maria, rubbing her neck, and glared at Su Rui was still playing the game.
"Why did you suddenly hit me? My neck still hurts. How are you going to make it up to me?"
"I calculated the force and direction carefully when I made the move, you understand? The situation you described simply wouldn't happen."
Su Rui bluntly exposed Zofia's lie:
"You should feel refreshed and relaxed now after a good night's sleep."
"You're quite clever," Zofia muttered softly, a smile involuntarily creeping onto her lips. She was just joking with Su Rui.
"Hmph, don't underestimate my intelligence network. Nothing can escape my eyes."
Su Rui smiled smugly, then looked up and greeted Zofia and Maria:
"Good morning~ By the way, lunch is already being prepared, so we just need to wait."
"A guest has arrived?" Zofia looked towards the kitchen, then met Shining's gaze as she came out with lunch.
Zofia glanced at the woman before her, a sense of unease rising within her. This woman was a formidable foe.
However, Shining didn't seem to care about competing with Zofia; she simply nodded to her and said, "Lunch is ready."
Su Rui also turned off the game, stood up, and introduced, "This is Margaret's friend Shining, and Nightingale. Margaret is still on Rhodes Island and won't be here for a while, so they came to check on things first, just in case anything unexpected happens."
"It sounds like the Doctor from Rhodes Island has considered things quite thoroughly."
Zofia nodded, glanced at Su Rui, then leaned closer to Su Rui and whispered:
"I think the Doctor is worried that you'll cause some outrageous trouble."
"... I have Old Deng watching me all the time, what's there to worry about? She never finishes her sentence, is telling riddles fun?"
Su Rui said with a hint of resentment.
Volume 5, Chapter 288: Don't be nervous, I'm right here.
Zofia didn't understand what Su Rui was saying, but she didn't mind Su Rui's occasional neurotic "jokes." Shenzhou patted Su Rui on the shoulder. "Alright, lunch is ready. Stop spacing out and let's eat lunch quickly."
"Okay, I understand."
During the break after lunch, Shining approached Su Rui and asked, "I heard the next match in the Knight Tournament has been changed to 2v2. Su Rui, do you have any plans?"
"Of course, the plan is for Maria to go up there alone and wreak havoc, and then win the match."
Su Rui clapped his hands. Now that he had his own body, he was too lazy to pilot Maria anymore. Even if something happened, he could take over Maria at any time, so he wasn't worried about accidents.
Moreover, with that armor, at worst, Su Rui could loosen some restrictions and let the Terra experience a small numerical shock of the Previous Civilization's technology.
Tsk, because of the Upper System, Maria and Patriot's armor can only use technology that is about thirty years more advanced than Su Rui 'Terra, which makes him a little unsatisfied.
However, although the power is only a fraction of what it once was, it's at least enough, isn't it?
Su Rui didn't think much of it, but he did notice the gazes of Maria and the others around him. "What's wrong? Maria's current strength is more than enough to handle this."
Shining nodded. "I have no objection." Nightingale was similar, smiling at Su Rui without saying a word.
Zofia looked at Maria with slight concern. "What do you think?"
Maria also showed a somewhat embarrassed expression. Just when Su Rui thought she was going to back down or ask Su Rui to at least arrange a teammate, Maria looked at him with a shy gaze.
"Su Rui, can you be my teammate?"
"Who? Me? I don't have any armor either."
Su Rui shrugged. "There's not much time left to make armor that fits my size, is there? You're going to the Knight Tournament tomorrow, one day isn't enough time to forge armor."
It would actually be possible to use a factory or Rhodes Island's Manufacturing Station, but Su Rui was too lazy to put in that much effort to prepare.
But Maria had a brilliant idea. After hearing Su Rui's words, the girl clapped her hands and exclaimed, "So, if there's suitable armor, Su Rui will agree to be my teammate, right?"
"You're right... but where are you going to find armor?" Su Rui had a premonition, but couldn't help but be skeptical.
"I can wear my sister's training armor, Su Rui can just wear the one I'm wearing now!"
Maria asked, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Su Rui, "How was it?"
"... You really want my help that badly? Wouldn't it be more exciting and interesting if you won by yourself?"
"But I want to fight alongside Su Rui," Maria persisted.
"Alright, I agree." Su Rui shrugged, wanting to test the combat capabilities of his new body after the Upper System's adjustments.
Upon hearing Su Rui's reply, Maria's eyes lit up. "Great!"
Even though she had just finished lunch, Maria couldn't resist picking up Su Rui and spinning Su Rui around on the ground.
"Alright, alright, I know you're happy. You won't lose with me here. Just don't get angry because I stole your thunder."
"I would never do such a thing."
Maria muttered something under her breath, then put Su Rui down and said with sparkling eyes, "How about I spar with Su Rui? It'll be a good opportunity for me to see Su Rui's fighting prowess and also to find out about you."
"Are you sure? Okay, don't back out."
A mischievous smile crept onto Su Rui's lips. If Maria wanted to be his teacher, she'd better be prepared to be the one being taught a lesson instead.
After lunch and a short rest, Maria and Su Rui went to the meadow and, under the watchful eyes of Shining, Nightingale, and Zofia, changed into their armor.
Although the armor was made for Maria, it's not actually that gender-restricted; you just need to slightly change the position of the buckles when wearing it... As long as the two people's body types aren't too different.
