Ark Simulator, Don't I Have No Physical Form?
Just as Theresa was struggling to think of any other way, a string of subtitles appeared before her eyes:
This is not a place for you, get out!
Then, as if she had been kicked hard on the head, Theresa was kicked out of the mental space, looking at Su Rui with a lingering shock.
Su Rui looked at her with suspicion. "Didn't we say we were going to have a proper chat? Why were you daydreaming just now?"
"It's nothing." Theresa shook her head and smiled at Su Rui. "I was just thinking."
Prince of Kazdel: 318 I'm going to do something dangerous.
Su Rui immediately saw through Theresa's claim of "thinking," realizing she was lying. After all, who would be so terrified by thinking?
However, Su Rui didn't dwell on it too much. Looking at the discussion game with her arms propped up on either side of her cheeks, she lazily relaxed.
"So, you want to persuade me not to do those dangerous things, right? Otherwise, why don't you listen to my thoughts first?"
Still reeling from the shock of being kicked out of Su Rui's mental world and the astonishment of the unknown guardian beside Su Rui, Theresa struggled to find the right words. Upon hearing Su Rui's thoughts, she nodded in agreement.
"Okay, let's hear what you think, Su Rui."
"Then you'd better be careful not to be persuaded by me."
Su Rui smiled smugly at Theresa:
"First of all, my body has usage limitations. No matter how I use it, it will inevitably disappear after a certain period of time. So rather than experiencing a mediocre and uneventful life, since I can have a new physical body later anyway, I should take this opportunity to do something interesting."
"You mean you'll disappear after a while?"
Theresa looked at Su Rui with a mixture of worry and surprise. "When exactly? Is there really no way to stop it?"
"The exact time is unknown, which is why I need to seize the time to do things that interest me," Su Rui said, propping her head up with one arm, lying on her side on the bed, looking at Theresa.
"Don't worry, didn't I say? After this body disappears, I can acquire other entities, so for me, it's like having a dream and then waking up in another place."
As Su Rui spoke, Theresa fell into a brief moment of thought, "... When you wake up again, will you still encounter us?"
"If you're lucky, yes, for example, Rhodes Island. I've already visited it several times before."
"But Su Rui, Rhodes Island was only recently unearthed. Is the 'before' you're talking about some distant past?"
"Of course not. My flow of time doesn't follow the rules you see. What you perceive as the future is the past for me, but a certain point in the past might be my future."
Su Rui briefly explained her situation, and then, seeing the hesitation and struggle in Theresa's eyes, a smug glint flashed in her own.
"So, there's no need to worry so much. I do those dangerous things to experience the beauty of life, right? Otherwise, what's the difference between me and a ghost that sleepwalks through the world?"
Su Rui winked at Theresa: "There's absolutely no need to worry about safety. I'll definitely take care of myself. After all, I need this body to exist properly so I can continue to experience the good life, right?"
"I think... okay."
After listening to Su Rui 'Su Rui words, Theresa was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information and couldn't think of a rebuttal. She finally nodded, "However, such a dangerous operation... it's truly terrifying to watch."
It seemed like she wanted to continue trying to persuade him, but couldn't find a topic, so she could only express her own thoughts in the process.
Su Rui didn't object to this, patted Theresa's arm, and then slipped out from under her arms:
"Alright, now that we've finished discussing this matter, we have other plans. I need your cooperation. Let's go to the conference room to talk; the big screen there is very useful."
That was what Su Rui had been thinking, but then he was suddenly pulled back onto the bed by the suspenseful mystery that grabbed his wrist.
"Is there anything else?"
Without trying to struggle, Su Rui was pulled back onto the soft bed, surrounded by blankets, and looked at the ceiling with a sense of helplessness.
"I originally wanted to get to know you, Su Rui, slowly, but now, time seems to be running out?"
Su Rui anticipated Theresa's actions and covered Theresa's mouth with her hand before she could continue speaking:
"I know what you're thinking, but there's no need to rush this. Although I said that the time available for physical in-person interactions is limited, there's still time to get to know each other."
Theresa, whose spellcasting was interrupted by Su Rui, was stunned for a moment, looking at Su Rui in front of her, like an AI whose logic had malfunctioned and was stuck.
Su Rui wriggled out of Theresa's arms again, but this time he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he reached out and grabbed Theresa's wrist.
"Alright, let's go. Stop spacing out. I already said we need your help with this plan; after all, you are the Demon Lord of Kazdel."
And so, Su Rui held Theresa's wrist, and together they walked down the corridor, enduring the astonished gazes of the passing Sarkaz.
However, Theresa quickly regained her composure, smiling as she took Su Rui's wrist and led Su Rui into the conference room while greeting the Sarkaz passersby.
"Ahem, this time our target is this: the Absolver who study souls. I made a deal with Shining: while bribing this Absolver organization, I also bought Shining and Nightingale."
As Su Rui spoke, she displayed the organizational chart of the Absolver: "Actually, there are only three people who are considered important: Shining, Shining's sister or someone else? And then there's the leader of the Absolver."
"As far as I know, the research of the Absolver is very complex. How do you plan to bribe them? Even as the Demon King, I can't easily persuade them."
Theresa looked at Su Rui. Although she had a feeling that Su Rui had a solution, she still wanted to find out more.
"As for matters of the soul, I only need to demonstrate a little skill; after all, no one understands this better than me."
Su Rui glanced at Theresa, who seemed even more worried. "Besides, I won't actually teach him anything useful. Although the knowledge I teach him will be true and correct, I haven't guaranteed that he won't run into problems if he continues his research."
"Su Rui, what do you mean?"
"Some knowledge may be correct, but continuing to study it will only lead to a dead end; some knowledge may cause disaster; and some knowledge is itself a disaster."
"... So what kind of knowledge do you plan to teach him?" Theresa couldn't help but ask, seeing Su Rui's mysterious demeanor.
"Maybe they are all of them? It's more interesting not to know until the buried mines explode."
Prince of Kazdel: Do you want 319? What's the price?
The next morning, Su Rui and Theresa, accompanied by Wis'adel as their bodyguard, arrived at Rhodes Island's hangar as they prepared to depart.
Wis'adel asked with some concern, "Are we really going to go straight there like this? What if we run into an ambush?"
Many people want to assassinate Theresa, but with me here, there's no chance of anything going wrong.
Su Rui casually raised an eyebrow at Wis'adel, then patted the aircraft beside him. "And this aircraft is one that I modified. Want to guess what modifications I made?"
"How should I know? I'm not Closure."
Wis'adel leaned closer to Su Rui, looking at the aircraft with an annoyed expression. "So, what parts did you modify?"
"Many parts have been modified; simply put, it has become more powerful and can operate automatically."
As Su Rui spoke, she began urging Theresa and Wis'adel to go up:
"Let's go, let's hurry over there and resolve this and that matter as soon as possible so we can come back sooner."
As Su Rui spoke, she stepped into the aircraft first, followed by Wis'adel, who wrapped his arms around Su Rui neck and pressed his cheek against Su Rui, asking:
"Then tell me in detail what functions this aircraft will have after you modify it. It won't kill you to talk a few more words, will it?"
Su Rui glanced at Wis'adel, who had moved closer to her. Vishdel was now rubbing against Su Rui's chest, acting as if nothing had happened, and asked Su Rui about the aircraft.
"It's nothing really."
Su Rui pushed Wis'adel to a seat with her shoulder, then glanced at Theresa sitting opposite her and casually said:
"I simply added some weapons to the aircraft and modified the drive system to allow it to fly autonomously while also achieving a higher thrust-to-weight ratio and better steering performance."
"Simply put, it's more flexible, right?" Wis'adel didn't quite understand some of the words Su Rui was using; she was more concerned about the weapons.
"What weapons did you install on the aircraft? Tell me about them."
"Shockwaves, rockets, impact-reactive armor, and high-energy laser beams."
Su Rui glanced at Wis'adel beside him, abandoning the idea of explaining the principle, and added:
"These things were all handmade by me. Logically speaking, Terra can only do the middle two things right now; your processing precision isn't enough for the other technologies."
Wis'adel rolled his eyes. "Okay, okay, I know you're pretty good. So, can I ask you to help me customize some weapons?"
"Only this once, only one weapon. Tell me, maybe I have a good idea."
Su Rui nodded and remotely started the aircraft's engine electronically, setting the destination for the aircraft.
While Wis'adel and Su Rui were spending so much time together, Theresa sat opposite them, watching Su Rui chat with God El.
Although she maintained a smile throughout, Wis'adel still felt considerable pressure from Theresa across from her.
In the end, Wis'adel was too embarrassed to speak, so she leaned on Su Rui's shoulder and fiddled with the Originium Gun she had stolen from different Sarkaz and Sankta.
The aircraft quickly brought Su Rui and the others to their destination, landing on a flat, cleared area.
"It seems like they know we're back?"
Theresa came to Su Rui's side, and together with Wis'adel, they flanked Su Rui, whispering a question in Su Rui ear.
"Of course, I used a special method to contact him. Otherwise, how could it be considered a transaction? Wouldn't it be called forced buying and selling if we just showed up at his door, put a sword to his neck, and said we had a business deal to discuss?
As Su Rui spoke, they saw the leader of the Absolver approaching, greeted by the Sarkaz forces in formation.
"Welcome! Are you the forerunner who found me amidst the waves of the Soul Sea?"
Upon seeing Su Rui, the other person's eyes lit up, and they opened their arms in a welcoming gesture.
Then, the leader of the Absolver noticed Theresa standing next to Su Rui, and after a moment of surprise, he bowed in greeting.
"Your Highness Theresa, I didn't expect you to come too. Could it be that you've come to persuade us to surrender?"
Theresa shook her head and took another step closer to Su Rui: "These things need to be discussed with Su Rui. I just came with him."
"I see." The leader of the Absolver nodded. Theresa had probably only come to demonstrate her stance.
"Then please come in. I have prepared a banquet and am just waiting for your arrival."
Beside the leader of the Absolver was Shining. Upon noticing Su Rui, Shining's calm, lake-like eyes trembled slightly, but she didn't show it. She simply smiled at Su Rui and then led Su Rui and the others into the Absolver ' stronghold.
Seated at the banquet table, looking at the exquisite tableware, flower baskets, and candlelight, Su Rui, seeing the leader of the Absolver who was still about to exchange pleasantries, spoke first:
"Alright, let's get straight to the point and stop with the nonsense. I can give you knowledge, in exchange you have to stand on our side, or rather, stop supporting the civil war."
"Your purpose was already clear when I met Princess Theresa. What I'm more curious about is how you can prove that your knowledge is worthy of my doing so?"
The leader of the Absolver remained unhurried, though his tone betrayed his burning desire; such is the nature of a stubborn person.
Su Rui didn't say much, but simply crumpled up a piece of paper and tossed it to the leader of the Absolver sitting not far away:
"Take a look at what's inside, and you'll understand."
The leader of the Absolver opened the slip of paper in his hand with some doubt. After reading its contents, his expression gradually changed from casual to serious, and he even began to mutter incantations.
Su Rui glanced at the leader of the Absolver, who seemed to have begun to ponder, but ignored his lengthy thought process. Instead, she picked up a fork, stuck a piece of dessert into it, and took out her phone from her pocket, eating and looking at it at the same time.
"He needs to think about this for a while, are you sure you're just going to sit here like this?"
Noticing that she was the only one around who had picked up utensils, Su Rui reminded the others briefly before continuing to eat by herself.
Regardless of what others think, as long as Su Rui is happy, that's all that matters.
After a long while, the leader of the Absolver, finally snapping out of the mental maze created by those few lines of text, didn't even bother to eat, his gaze fixed intently on Su Rui:
What happens next?
"That depends on your sincerity. I've already proven my worth; what about you? What can you offer?"
Prince of Kazdel: 320 These two are yours.
"My bargaining chip is naturally on your and Theresa's side. As a member of the Military Council, I will remain neutral from now on and support your side."
The leader of the Absolver frowned; in his view, this seemed to be something that had already been decided and did not need to be emphasized.
But Su Rui shook her head. "Look at the knowledge you have, think carefully, do you think it's enough?"
"..." This time, it was the leader of the Absolver who was speechless.
After all, the more one learns, the more valuable the knowledge that Su Rui provides becomes. Even though this is just the beginning, the leader understands that the knowledge contained within will surely lead him to a new world.
Therefore, in comparison, whether in his eyes or in Su Rui's eyes (as the leader of the Absolver thought), this knowledge was far from something that could be obtained simply by aligning one's own power with another.
After a moment's thought, the leader of the Absolver looked into Su Rui's eyes and slightly parted his somewhat dry lips. "So, what do you want?"
"I don't know, but you need this now, so you'll handle the bidding." Su Rui glanced at Theresa beside her:
"Theresa, do you have any requests?"
"My demands are already included in the conditions you just presented... If possible, I hope that after the war in Kazdel ends, the Absolver can devote some of their energy to the reconstruction of Kazdel."
"Of course, no problem." The leader of the Absolver readily agreed to this condition.
