Ark Simulator, Am I Not Without a Physical Body? Chapter 160
"Understood, Your Highness... Su Rui, I have something urgent to attend to later, do you understand?"
"Okay, okay, I heard you with both ears."
Su Rui nodded to Wis'adel, then left first, followed by Theresa and Lamalain.
In the Doctor's office, Theresa and Lamalain sat in chairs, while Su Rui sat directly on the desk next to the Doctor.
"So, is there anything else you'd like to know?"
"We already have a significant advantage among the military commissioners. Su Rui, what are your plans next?"
"Hmm, now there's only one person left. Once we take care of things with Theresis, we can take care of the Military Council, and most of the chaos in Kazdel can be quelled."
"The vast majority? I thought you were going to say all of them."
A slight smile crept onto the Doctor's lips as he rested his elbow on his cheek and pressed it against Su Rui.
"I'm not that arbitrary. Kazdel has developed to this point, and it's no longer something that the Military Council can decide with just a few words. You can stop the war, but many mercenaries don't understand the situation at all. They still rely on killing to make a living. The end of the war may not necessarily stop everyone."
Su Rui ignored the Doctor's teasing, tapped the table, and glanced at the surrounding decorations. "We should have prepared a large screen here. Oh well, anyway, Theresis is the last problem to solve, and it won't take much time. In fact, he's the easiest to persuade."
Theresa nodded. "Since it's to persuade my brother, can I go with you this time too?"
"No, taking you along won't influence Theresis's mind. I'll go by myself, and I'll just take Wis'adel as my bodyguard."
Su Rui didn't agree to Theresa. Instead, she took out a tablet and handed it to her. "Don't worry, I guarantee there won't be any conflict. That guy is quite reasonable. I can persuade any rational and communicative individual."
After saying that, Su Rui jumped off the table:
"Alright, this matter is resolved. You two can discuss the rest yourselves."
Prince of Kazdel: 343 The Banshee's Kiss
"Wait a minute, Su Rui." Lamalain stood up and called to Su Rui as he got up to leave the office.
Then, under Su Rui's questioning gaze, the Banshee Queen slowly approached him and gently placed a kiss on his cheek:
"Thank you for your contributions to the Banshee. This is more than just a transaction; we will remember this friendship."
Then, with a light laugh, under the watchful eyes of Theresa and the Doctor Lamalain gently pushed Su Rui's shoulder and slowly pushed him out of the room.
The door closed behind her, Su Rui walked down the Rhodes Island corridor, raising her hand as she looked at the golden necklace in her hand.
The Banshee's Kiss symbolizes hope and courage... "I thought I really appeared when the Banshee kissed me, but it turns out it was just a gift."
Su Rui had initially thought the Banshee's Kiss was a magical item, like mermaid tears turning into pearls, but now it seemed to have lost some of its fantastical appeal.
But it's fine too. Wearing the necklace around her neck, Su Rui walked towards the deck of Rhodes Island.
The war had given Kazdel a burnt smell in the wind. Su Rui felt the wind brush against his cheeks and waited a moment on the deck when Wis'adel's voice sounded behind him:
"You actually had time to reach out to me? Busy man? What's up this time? Every time I want to talk to you alone, Princess Theresa appears. It's not going to be the same this time, is it?"
"Next, we need to find that guy named Theresis. Theresa won't be coming with us."
As Su Rui spoke, she turned to look at Wis'adel: "This time, I only have you as my bodyguard. Of course, you don't really need to do anything; just follow me."
"Hmph, I know." Wis'adel reached out and grabbed the railing beside Su Rui. "So when do we leave?"
"If you're ready, we can leave now."
Su Rui casually remarked, glancing at Wis'adel beside her, "What do you think? Should we get some things ready?"
"I'm coming right away. Wait for me in the hangar. Or, just come with me."
After Wis'adel finished speaking, he reached out and grabbed Su Rui's wrist, leading him toward the dormitory.
With a loud thud, the door slammed shut. Wis'adel completely disregarded the fact that Su Rui was present, and right in front of him, he took off his mercenary uniform and threw it aside, walking towards the bed as if he was about to change his clothes.
Su Rui didn't dodge; she just leaned against the bedroom doorway and watched as Wis'adel threw off his clothes in front of him before taking out a ballet costume from the bag in his hand.
"You can dance ballet?" Su Rui asked curiously.
"No, but that doesn't stop me from liking this outfit."
Wis'adel rolled his eyes, turned to look at Su Rui, and spun around in front of him. "Is it pretty?"
"It looks great, it suits you perfectly, is this the outfit you got from Closure?"
"Of course, thanks to your help, she even gave me some compensation."
As he spoke, Wis'adel tossed his ballet shoes aside and put on the shoes he had previously used for combat, his ballet costume now concealed beneath his mercenary attire.
Su Rui vaguely guessed what was going on, then saw Wis'adel give him a threatening smile, "Su Rui, you're so capable, finding a place where we can be alone after the mission shouldn't be a problem, right?"
"First, I do not accept threats; second, there is certainly no problem with this matter."
Su Rui spread her hands. "Alright, if you're ready, let's go... Why are you limping?"
"To be honest, this outfit is a bit too tight."
Wis'adel didn't say much, but reached out and nudged Su Rui's shoulder. "Alright, let's get going."
The camouflaged aircraft, carrying Su Rui and Wis'adel, quickly arrived at the center of Kazdel, where Theresis was located.
At Wis'adel's request, Su Rui stopped the aircraft in mid-air, and Wis'adel carried Su Rui directly to the ground.
"Tsk tsk, the Sarkaz of Kazdel are fighting to the death, but the Regent's residence is quite luxurious." Wis'adel looked at the palace in front of him and couldn't help but click his tongue in displeasure.
"Actually, this is one of the few well-preserved places in Kazdel, and there aren't many servants to take care of it, nor has Theresis made any effort to enjoy it."
Su Rui tapped the goggles on Wis'adel's cheek and spoke directly into the earpiece:
"Alright, you'll stay with me from now on, and don't say anything out of line, understand? I was originally planning to have you wait outside."
"I understand... Why don't you just speak up?" Wis'adel looked at Su Rui, who could have spoken but insisted on communicating with her through the earpiece.
"Because I like it, and it adds a sense of mystery."
Su Rui didn't mind sharing her thoughts at that moment. After glancing at Wis'adel, she jumped off her lap, and Su Rui's voice came through the earphones again:
"Alright, come with me. Remember not to disturb the staff. If they see you like this, it will affect their mood at work."
"If they are seen, it will be their death."
Wis'adel didn't understand Su Rui's strange sense of humor. She took out her combat knife, since her main fighting force, the bombs, made too much noise, so she could only use a knife.
However, even without being skilled in assassination, with Su Rui's Scanning Vision providing assistance, Wis'adel felt he could take care of everyone in the entire building by himself.
Su Rui glanced at Wis'adel's eager expression and nudged her with her shoulder in an annoyed tone:
"Alright, stop spacing out, and don't try to make any big noise, or you'll lose your salary."
"It's as if I care about these wages."
Wis'adel pursed his lips and followed Su Rui. Just as Su Rui had said, the palace actually had no servants, and the regent did not enjoy any luxuries. Apart from someone responsible for keeping the building clean, there were no other staff members.
And the food here isn't very good... although it's still much better than what I ate in Wis'adel before.
Wis'adel turned to look at Su Rui was leaning against the kitchen stove, savoring various Kazdel recipes, and asked with some confusion:
"So, why are we here? Aren't we supposed to be seeing Theresis?"
"Don't rush, don't you think that having time to eat snacks while infiltrating makes us seem highly skilled and relaxed?"
Su Rui responded to Wis'adel somewhat vaguely.
Prince of Kazdel: 344 No rush, let's eat something first.
"You're not really planning to eat your fill here, are you?" Although Wis'adel wasn't in the mood to eat, seeing Su Rui's relaxed demeanor, he still ate a little with him.
"Of course not, I'm just tasting it."
Su Rui was eating and didn't speak this time; her voice came directly into Wis'adel's ears.
"..." You don't look like someone who just wants to try it. Wis'adel looked at Su Rui's enthusiastic appearance and didn't stop him from continuing. He just picked up a potato and played with it in his hand, looking a little bored.
When Su Rui had had enough fun, he left the palace kitchen with Wis'adel, carrying some snacks in his hand.
"Turn left ahead. Let's rest in the room for a bit, because a few patrolling guards will be leisurely passing by."
Su Rui's voice came through the earpiece, and Wis'adel followed him into the room, casually putting his arm around Su Rui's shoulder as he opened the door, leading him inside.
"You can see we had plenty of time to hide, right?"
Su Rui, held in Wis'adel's arms, glanced up at her with an annoyance.
Although he didn't say a word, he clearly expressed his dissatisfaction, and this contrast made Wis'adel a little itchy.
So she pushed Su Rui down, and since this was a bedroom, Wis'adel brought her cheek close to Su Rui's:
"So what? Since we have plenty of time to hide, and this happens to be a perfect spot, what do you think? Should I take this opportunity to...?"
"We still need to find Theresis."
Su Rui wasn't worried at all about what Wis'adel might do at this time, and just winked at her. "This happens to be Theresis's room, aren't you worried that he'll see you when he comes back?"
"How did this become Theresis's room? It's so simple!"
Wis'adel paused, looking around at the furnishings. "Isn't there nothing here?"
"That's why I said Theresis isn't someone who enjoys luxury. All he really has is a suit of armor and weapons. What else did you think?"
Su Rui, nestled in Wis'adel's arms, propped her head up with her elbow and soothed him.
"Alright, let's rest here for a bit, then head straight to find Theresis. Or you can wait until he comes back to rest before going to find him, but I don't recommend you duo queue with me here. Even I would feel embarrassed if Theresis came back and saw the mess."
"I would never do such a thing here!"
Wis'adel retorted to Su Rui with some embarrassment and annoyance, but because he dared not reveal his and Su Rui's location, he had to grit his teeth and lower his voice.
"That would be best. I have some snacks here, would you like some? It'll help pass the time."
"I'll eat if you feed me!"
Wis'adel gave Su Rui an annoyed look, then reached out and pressed Su Rui back into her arms as she tried to slip away. "Stay here and don't go."
"Okay, okay." Su Rui smiled slightly, took out a pastry from the System Space, but instead of feeding it to Wis'adel as she had expected, she put it in her own mouth.
Wis'adel was somewhat disappointed, but he didn't show it on the surface.
Su Rui noticed every subtle change in Wis'adel's emotions through her Scanning Vision. A mischievous smile crept onto her lips. Instead of eating the pastry, she used her teeth to bite into it and raised an eyebrow at Wis'adel.
Although she couldn't speak, it didn't prevent Su Rui from communicating with Wis'adel using headphones.
"Want some? Let's share!"
"...So that's what you were thinking." Wis'adel was a little shy, but he didn't show it. He still had a strong expression, lowered his head "fiercely", bit Su Rui's lip hard, cut the pastry in half with his teeth, and snatched the pastry from Su Rui's mouth.
This deliberate display of malice could not conceal Wis'adel's inner emotions at all. Su Rui ignored her rough actions and couldn't help but laugh.
"What's so funny?"
Wis'adel glared at Su Rui with displeasure. "Is there any more? The pastries were quite delicious."
Through hormone analysis, Su Rui deduced that Wis'adel was actually anticipating not only the snacks, but also the way to share them with him.
Of course.
Once again, Su Rui took out the pastry, but this time before he could do the same thing as before, Wis'adel snatched the pastry from Su Rui's hand and then slammed it into Su Rui's mouth.
"Ouch~ Don't bump into me like that so suddenly, it hurts a little."
Su Rui glared at Wis'adel with displeasure. Although her mouth was occupied and Wis'adel's tongue was still causing trouble, it couldn't stop Su Rui from expressing her dissatisfaction.
"Mmm..." Wis'adel was unable to express her thoughts until the somewhat strange kiss ended, at which point she looked triumphantly at Su Rui and slowly spoke:
"So what? Who told you to deliberately flirt with me just now?"
"I'll tease you, I'll tease you."
Su Rui deliberately said something provocative, then raised her leg and braced it against Wis'adel's shoulder:
"Alright, the guards outside have gone. If we don't leave now, we might really have to wait until Theresis comes back."
"Ugh, I don't want to meet him in a place like this."
Wis'adel gave a somewhat disgusted look, then pulled Su Rui up and led her outside.
"Anyway, it's me and Theresis who are communicating. You just need to stand aside and wait. What's there to complain about?"
Su Rui pouted, annoyed, and marked the route on Wis'adel's goggles. "Right here, okay, and be careful not to make any noise on purpose."
"Of course I know that."
