"Here's water, give her some. Then that pony named Grani should be coming soon."

Skadi conjured a bottle of water out of thin air and handed it to Skadi girl in front of her.

After drinking the water, the girl named Carol looked at Skadi:

"Thank you for your help. I am Carol, the village chief of Waterdrop Village. May I ask what brings you here?"

"..." Skadi thought for a moment, "I came here on a trip with a friend."

Carol looked at Skadi with a puzzled expression. "Thank you for your help anyway, but unfortunately we don't have much money and can't offer a suitable reward, and the bandits are still lingering here... Why don't you stay at my house for a couple of days?"

Skadi shook her head, looking at the spot marked by Su Rui. Grani had already run over, waving excitedly in their direction.

"Hello, Skadi? I've heard of you before, but I didn't expect to see you here!"

Skadi nodded, but before Grani could continue, Su Rui's voice came from Skadi's personal terminal:

"Are you sure you want to keep chatting here? Those bandits are coming again!"

Carol paused for a moment, somewhat puzzled as to where the voice was coming from, but still chose to lead Skadi and the others to hide first. "I know a place, come with me."

"No need, just knock them all away."

Skadi shook her head, glanced at the mercenaries not far away who were still trying to embolden themselves and approach, gripped her greatsword, and prepared herself.

Grani also drew his spear as a weapon and gave Carol a reassuring smile:

"Don't worry, Skadi is very strong. With her here, we won't be in danger!"

Grani is right, but there's a problem: too many mercenaries are approaching at once. Even though Skadi's strength and intimidation are top-notch, she can't possibly defeat them all at the same time.

"Quick, quick, stop playing your golf ball, use the windmill!"

Su Rui couldn't help but chuckle in Skadi's mind, urging, "Your efficiency is a bit too low, hurry up and attack in helicopter form!"

"I understand~" Skadi didn't quite understand what Su Rui meant, but she could feel the amusement in Su Rui's expression. She pouted slightly in dissatisfaction, but Skadi still followed Su Rui's advice, raised her greatsword in front of her, and began to spin around herself with the sword.

Skadi was indeed faster at taking down her opponents this time. Although her previous method of sending people flying like golf balls was quite intimidating, Skadi's superior stats, combined with her simple and brutal fighting style, prevented the mercenaries from getting close.

However, Skadi had never received similar training, and after only a few laps, she felt dizzy and lightheaded.

' Su Rui ~ I feel like I'm about to fall down~'

"Then let's stop. Don't worry, reinforcements are coming. Although the other side has its own plans, we can take advantage of them."

As Su Rui spoke, she marked Big Bob, who was carrying a chainsaw and leading his men, in Skadi's Scanning Vision.

Skadi nodded, and, somewhat unsteadily leaning on her greatsword, approached Grani and Carol, watching Big Bob charge out from a distance with his men.

As Big Bob dealt with the enemy, Skadi asked with some doubt, "Su Rui, you said he had ulterior motives?"

Volume 6, Chapter 352: Win-Win-Win

"Of course, his goal is also the knight's treasure, but our goal is actually the key to the Knight's Treasure."

'What's the use of the treasure key?' Skadi, leaning on her greatsword, quickly recovered and looked at Big Bob not far away. She only needed to knock away one or two mercenaries who ran up to her from time to time, which was much easier than before.

Su Rui replied matter-of-factly, "The purpose of a treasure key is, of course, to unlock the treasure!"

"... You know that's not what I meant." Even Skadi was speechless in the face of Su Rui's words.

"Hmm. Of course I know. Okay, actually, the key to that treasure is a crystal, a product of technology. It's used to verify whether someone is qualified to open the treasure through the blood of Kuranta descendant. That's the crystal we need."

As Su Rui spoke, she showed the scanned image of the crystal and marked Carol's pocket:

"Actually, that crystal was hidden on Carol's person, but I don't know its exact location."

Skadi nodded: 'So, once we get that crystal, Su Rui, can you find information about Seaborn and Abyssal Hunters from it?'

"... Do you want to hear the truth or a lie?"

'What's the difference?' Skadi paused for a moment, then said, 'I want to hear the truth.'

"Okay, the truth is, I actually know all the information you want, so I don't need the crystal. But the crystal is quite pretty, and I was thinking of taking it as payment after I help them finish this matter."

Su Rui paused for a moment. "I will tell you what you want to know after this matter is resolved, so don't worry."

"I see." Skadi nodded. "Does Su Rui like these little gadgets?"

"But the crystal is really beautiful~ And if you want to open the treasure, the crystal will be stained with blood, turning into a sparkling gem with blood-red threads, wouldn't that be even more beautiful? I must get my hands on something so special."

Skadi didn't understand, but she still accepted Su Rui's explanation. While Skadi and Su Rui were talking, they had already completed the information exchange and decided to head to the cave where the Knight's Treasure was hidden, led by Carol.

Big Bob, whose identity had been exposed by Su Rui, directly stated his purpose: he needed some money to open a shop with his men and live a life of retirement, Carol needed some money to rebuild the damaged village, and the rest of the money could be given to Big Bob.

Skadi needs the crystal as a key, as a gift to make Su Rui happy... at least that's what Skadi thinks.

So after discussing it, everyone realized there was no need to fight, so they all went into the cave. The mercenaries outside were still trying to rush in, but this time Skadi had the help of Su Rui's Scanning Vision, so when she encountered obstacles, she simply used her greatsword to clear a path, splitting open the rock walls between the caves, and managed to walk in a straight line through the rugged cave.

Upon arriving at the Knight's Treasure, Carol took out the crystal to open the treasure, but hesitated for a moment.

Now it was Su Rui's turn to perform, and he turned on the speakers on Skadi's personal terminal again:

"After all, opening the treasure requires enough blood, so you'll probably be weak for a day or two afterward. But there's no need to worry. It's a key made so that future generations can open the treasure, so it certainly won't make you bleed to death."

Su Rui's voice startled them, Carol showed surprise, then breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for your explanation, but... I don't see you here?"

"Since I'm not here in person, just pretend I'm calling you," Su Rui explained casually.

"What's a telephone? Hmm, never mind, I understand."

Carol looked somewhat puzzled, but still took out the crystal to unlock it. Su Rui's voice rang out again:

"We need that crystal to gather intelligence, and then..."

"Okay, I understand. After opening the treasure, the key will be useless. I'll give it to you as a gift."

Carol smiled in Skadi's direction, as if she had seen Su Rui.

Thus, Carol opened the treasure, gained the wealth to restore the village; Big Bob could find a way to open a farm to earn some money for his retirement; Su Rui obtained the Crimson Crystal, which could be used as a decorative item; Grani completed her mission; and everyone had a bright future.

Of course, before leaving, Su Rui didn't forget to have Skadi take Grani with her:

"Skadi, pick Grani up and take her back. She also needs to return to Rhodes Island to report on her mission, so we don't want to waste time on the way."

Skadi nodded, took Carol's crystal, and then Su Rui put the crystal into her System Space. Skadi, under the gazes of Carol and Big Bob, went to Grani's side, picked up the little pony, and walked towards the flying vehicle with one hand carrying the greatsword and the other.

"Skadi, what are you doing? I can walk by myself!"

Grani, feeling ashamed as she was being lifted up, tried to struggle free from Skadi's grasp, but to no avail.

"I'll take you straight back," Skadi said, and with the help of Su Rui's Scanning Vision, she jumped directly into the aircraft's cabin with Grani.

"Wow, Skadi, you're amazing!" Grani looked at the suddenly appearing cabin in front of her in surprise. Even after being put down by Skadi, she was still somewhat surprised and curious as she looked around.

"Is this a Rhodes Island aircraft? I've only heard of it before~"

"Hmm." Skadi nodded, then sat down in the cabin, but she didn't forget to remind Grani:

"You can sit in the pilot's seat and enjoy the scenery. Don't touch the control stick; this aircraft is on autopilot."

"Really? Thank you so much!"

Grani excitedly walked to the driver's seat, and after Skadi sat down, without her saying a word, Su Rui displayed the information that Skadi was interested in within her field of vision:

"First, there are your companions. As far as I know, there are four others besides you: Laurentina (Specter) from the second team, the second captain, Gladiia, the deep cruiser from the third team (who is still in Aegir), and the third captain Ulpianus."

As Su Rui spoke, she opened the map and marked the locations of these people on it. "Right now, the easiest one for you to find is this Specter. She was moved to a location closer to land by the followers of the Deep Sea Church. After rescuing her, you can bring her back for proper treatment."

Skadi nodded: 'When do we leave?'

"It will be fine after we send Grani back."

Volume 6, Chapter 353: Death Falls from the Sky

Considering Skadi's eagerness to save her teammates, Su Rui immediately told her to say goodbye to Grani and prepare to leave after sending Grani back to Rhodes Island.

Skadi nodded and looked at Grani: "I have other things to do. You should go back to Rhodes Island first."

After saying that, Grani returned to the Rhodes Island hangar and watched as the aircraft's hatch closed again. She only had time to say one sentence:

"Wait a minute, Skadi, there's still the mission report..."

But before Grani could finish speaking, the aircraft had already left Rhodes Island's hangar again and sped into the sky.

"... Alright, it seems I should tell the Doctor about this."

Grani looked at the empty hangar in front of him, somewhat embarrassed, put away his weapons, and walked towards the interior of Rhodes Island.

Meanwhile, Skadi couldn't wait to start discussing Specter with Su Rui:

"Laurentina, how is she doing now?"

"Not bad, except she's been turned into a nun, worshipping some so-called god... Her mental state is a little unstable."

As Su Rui spoke, she once again precisely revealed to Skadi the location where Laurentina was hiding:

"Although it's on land, it's actually located in the rather peripheral Iberia. We'll probably need to stay there for a while."

Skadi nodded, her heart racing as she looked at the map Su Rui showed her. After all, Laurentina was her companion, Skadi couldn't wait to rescue Laurentina.

"What should we do then? Should we infiltrate?" Since it was a rescue mission, Skadi had to be cautious. Although she was a bit naive, Skadi knew how to utilize the strength of her companions, so she began to seek help from Su Rui:

"Su Rui, do you have any plans?"

"No need. Do you remember our operation in Waterdrop Village?"

Su Rui proudly displayed the scanned map to Skadi:

"I can get all the local maps and scans directly. We can sit in the aircraft, parachute down from high altitude, and then take Specter and fight our way out! Specter's weapons are also next to her, so waking her up will give us an extra fighting force!"

As Su Rui spoke, she showed the footage of the shockwave from Skadi's landing again. "Your landing was quite powerful, and the buildings in Iberia... I can't say for sure, but most of them are very fragile. Your landing should have triggered a series of chain reactions."

"... Won't this hurt Laurentina?" Skadi asked with some concern.

"I didn't tell you to land directly on the Specter," Su Rui said, deliberately marking the location. "I definitely wanted you to land in a spot that wouldn't affect the Specter but was still close enough that we could just charge in."

"Okay, I understand."

It would still take some time for the aircraft to reach its destination in Iberia. After Su Rui and Skadi finished their conversation, they waited for a few more minutes. Just as Skadi was about to close her eyes and rest for a bit, holding her greatsword, Su Rui's voice rang out again:

"Alright, wake up! There's no time for you to sleep now, we need to get started!"

"I haven't rested at all," Skadi said softly, then stood up, still clutching her greatsword, and walked towards the cabin door.

Su Rui then marked some cue lines in Skadi's field of vision, adding a touch of science fiction to what she saw:

"Alright, falling from this height won't hurt you at all. Let's get going! Death is coming from the sky!"

Although she didn't understand Su Rui, Skadi still jumped out of the cabin as Su Rui instructed, pointing her greatsword at the roof below. Skadi landed heavily, smashing through the roof and landing on the second-floor floor, startling everyone in the room who stared at her in disbelief.

Skadi also looked at the somewhat bewildered Deep Sea Cultists in front of her, but this eye contact did not last long. After all, the impact of Skadi's fall was not something that could be deliberately blocked by a single floorboard in an old, dilapidated house like Iberia.

So, after a brief eye contact that lasted less than a second, the floor beneath Skadi's feet cracked again, sending Skadi plummeting down layer by layer until she reached the basement.

Skadi was a little worried that her landing point might be too low, but before she could ask, Su Rui had already answered her:

"Don't doubt it, don't doubt it, the landing point is perfect, it's exactly what I calculated beforehand. You just need to sprint along the route I marked, the Specter is right ahead, charge!"

Skadi nodded, glanced at the location and route of the Specter marked in her Scanning Vision, and kicked open the iron door in front of her. The door panel sent the guy hiding behind it, who was trying to sneak up, flying out.

Su Rui's calculations were indeed perfect, after all, Specter was already locked in the basement.

Skadi, relying on her superior physical abilities, charged forward recklessly, cleaving through walls with her greatsword and kicking or swatting away enemies with her sword.

Su Rui also reminded her from time to time, "Someone ahead is trying to stop you with a bomb. Don't panic, take a deep breath, and swing your sword according to my markings. Now!"

Skadi nodded, stopped as Su Rui had suggested, swung her greatsword at just the right angle, and then swatted the explosive charge thrown at her back like a golf ball.

The Deep Sea Cultists stared blankly as the explosive charge they had just thrown flew back.

Before they could react, the message from the explosive charge had already ended, accompanied by a loud "bang!" Skadi simultaneously cleaved open the cell where Laurentina was imprisoned with her sword.

At this moment, the white-haired, red-eyed Aegir girl, her hands and feet bound by thick chains, dressed in a nun's habit, was muttering something.

Skadi was a little confused, and instinctively wanted to approach and greet her, "Laurentina."

"Wait a minute, she's not in a stable mental state right now and might attack you. Just wait a moment, I'll be right back."

Su Rui fell silent as she spoke. Skadi waited a moment, even using her sword to knock away a Deep Sea Cultists who had barged in, before asking with some confusion, "Su Rui, what are you doing?"

"I'm working on Specter's mental state, at least to make her condition a little better."
