Ark Simulator, Aren't I Supposed to Have No Physical Form?
Before Mudrock could finish speaking, she gave instructions and then walked alone into the city. She was very strong, and it was safest for her to come in alone to gather intelligence.
As for what she didn't say... Princess Theresa's plan was that if anything happened, they could retreat directly without risking their lives.
But for Mudrock, a little danger was nothing; as she was tasked with the mission, she naturally wanted to complete it as much as possible.
With this in mind, Mudrock entered the city. Unexpectedly, she encountered no obstacles, or rather, she didn't see a single person.
It seems everyone has disappeared, or been drawn somewhere.
In any case, the fact that even the outermost layer of the city's defenses is gone is highly unusual, and unusual things often signify danger.
With this thought in mind, Mudrock gripped the hammer tightly. Worried about being suspected in someone else's city, she didn't fully adopt a defensive and vigilant posture. Instead, she resembled a traveler in the wilderness, merely holding her weapon without actually preparing for battle.
However, Mudrock's attention was quickly drawn away as she heard pleasant music, and seemingly crisp, gentle dance steps that reached her ears, even though Mudrock was on the edge of the city.
Are they holding some kind of event? The city looks like it's just been hit by Catastrophe; perhaps they really need a post-disaster event, some music to boost morale.
Perhaps by going to the event site, he could gather some information. With this thought in mind, Mudrock followed the sound of the music toward the center of Wolumonde Square, which should be the source of the music.
Moreover, for some reason, even Mudrock, Sarkaz, felt a sense of peace and relaxation upon hearing this music, and subconsciously wanted to listen carefully.
With this thought in mind, Mudrock quickened his pace and soon arrived at the vicinity of the square in Wolumonde, on a street with no obstacles and not even anyone around.
The closer you get to the Mudrock, the more people you can see.
In fact, as Mudrock approached the square, he noticed that a large number of people had gathered there; one could even say that everyone in the town had come together.
Because the square was completely surrounded and impassable.
Moreover, it wasn't just in the square; the surrounding buildings were also filled with spectators crowding around windows to watch the center of the square not far away.
Despite the large crowd, there was no chaos, not even a sound. Everyone held their breath, listening intently to the music in the center of the stage and watching the dance with rapt attention.
Mudrock walked past some people, who only glanced at her and noticed that she was completely wrapped in a heavy protective suit and that she was tall and imposing. They were only slightly puzzled, but did not feel wary or suspicious.
They only glanced at it before continuing to watch the performance in the center of the stage.
Unfortunately, Mudrock couldn't see it; there were too many people, and she was stuck on the outside. Mudrock also couldn't break into the residents' houses to watch the performance in the center of the square with them.
But this did catch Mudrock's attention, making her want to figure out who was performing in the center of the stage, and what kind of aura they possessed that made people subconsciously want to get closer, which made Mudrock feel somewhat familiar.
She had a vague guess, but couldn't quite make up her mind.
As for why the Mudrock, despite its "tall" stature, cannot see the view in the center of the square, the reason is simple: the Mudrock is not actually as tall as the protective suit makes it appear. Its so-called tall stature is supported by the soil and rocks.
Mudrock's eyes are actually observed through an observation window on the chest of his protective suit.
So even though her physical size might suggest she could see over the people around her to the stage in the distance, she actually needed to figure out what was happening in the center of the stage.
Driven by curiosity, Mudrock came up with a potentially unusual idea: to go to a high point in the surrounding buildings.
No one would gather on the stairs because there's no view of the stage from there.
Mudrock walked lightly, trying not to disturb the audience who were watching the performance intently, and went up to the roof alone via the stairs.
In fact, the buildings here lack access to the roof; at least, the building that Mudrock chose is like that.
However, Mudrock has its own Originium Arts. By simply building some small platforms with earth and stone, it can easily reach the rooftop, gain a panoramic view that no one else has, and even see the performance on the stage directly.
Upon reaching the rooftop and looking out over the stage, Mudrock almost immediately focused his attention on Su Rui.
While the charm of the white Nine-Tailed Fox fox boy is indeed very alluring, Mudrock sees it from a different perspective.
That face, that aura that instinctively draws you in, makes it impossible not to recognize him.
This is Prince Su Rui, who serves Princess Theresa.
But how did Lord Su Rui end up here? And why is he disguised as Wolper?
Mudrock was puzzled and wanted to figure out what was going on, and subconsciously felt a little worried.
Could it be that His Highness the Prince has been kidnapped? But the little girl next to him, who looks so similar to him, really does look like His Highness Su Rui's daughter.
What exactly happened? Was it infidelity? Or is there something else going on?
Regardless, Mudrock decided to talk to Su Rui after the performance ended.
Of course, Vulpisfoglia noticed her when Mudrock made up her mind. After all, in the Scanning Vision, an individual standing on high ground overlooking this place was too obvious.
'She seems to want to come see you, is it really just because you know her?'
"Perhaps Mudrock is overthinking it? How would I know?"
Volume 7, Chapter 410: Prince Su Rui?
The Dance Arts performance ended as the music volume gradually decreased. Su Rui reached out and took Suzuran's hand, leading the little fox, whose legs were a little weak from exhaustion, off the stage. Accompanied by the cheers of the audience who were gradually coming back to their senses, the performance came to a close.
"Alright, after this performance, the restlessness in the audience will subside a lot, and you can feel it yourself, right?"
Su Rui raised an eyebrow at Severin, who had watched the entire performance from below.
As an audience member who listened to and watched the performance, Severin naturally felt much calmer inside.
This is not the kind of brainwashing that forcibly infuses happiness and identification into the mind, but simply cleanses the pent-up emotions accumulated in people's hearts.
People whose mood improves as a result will naturally behave more kindly and easily.
This is how the city's stability is achieved. Durin looked at Su Rui with gratitude and nodded to him.
"Thank you all very much for your help. We will not forget Rhodes Island's contributions, and all the conditions we promised you will be fulfilled promptly."
This was what they were supposed to do. Su Rui didn't say anything, but took Suzuran's wrist, picked up the little girl, and let Suzuran sit in his arms.
"Alright, Little Lisa and I are both a little tired, let's go back and rest. We should have a place ready to rest by now, right?"
"Of course, I'll have Tagiana take you."
Severin nodded, then nodded to Su Rui: "I have other things to do, so I won't bother you any longer."
Severin turned and left, while Tagiana smiled at Su Rui, "Please come with me."
Vulpisfoglia didn't say anything, but moved closer to Su Rui, her hand already on the weapon at her waist: 'That Mudrock is coming.'
"I know, but if she really wanted to do something, she wouldn't have waited until now."
Su Rui spoke, she reassured Vulpisfoglia, "Just wait for her to come."
As she spoke, Su Rui glanced up at the upper floors and met the gaze of Mudrock, who was looking down at them.
Mudrock, who had previously been under Su Rui's command, immediately recognized the look in Su Rui's eyes. He nodded to Su Rui, made a few tactical hand gestures, and then walked downstairs.
"It seems she acknowledges me now."
Even so, we cannot let our guard down.
Vulpisfoglia glanced at Su Rui, who looked somewhat tired while holding the Suzuran, and a hint of amusement crept into her voice:
"I know it's hard for you to take care of the baby, but for safety's sake, please hold Little Lisa longer."
"Of course I know, tsk, this is nothing to me."
After hearing Vulpisfoglia's words, Suzuran noticed that Su Rui also seemed a little tired. The kind-hearted girl immediately panicked and tried to get down from Su Rui's embrace:
"I can walk by myself, let me down, Dad."
"No." Su Rui tightened his arms, pulling Suzuran's legs into his embrace, making Suzuran unable to move. His tone carried a hint of defiant dissatisfaction.
"I already said, this is nothing to me, it's just walking back from here, it won't take much effort."
Seeing Su Rui like this, Suzuran had no choice but to give up. However, when sitting in Su Rui's lap, the little girl would unconsciously feel a little nervous, afraid that she would tire Su Rui out.
After returning to their temporary accommodations on Rhodes Island, Anto and Aye went to rest, while Mudrock gently knocked on Su Rui's door after Tagiana left.
"Click." With the sound of the door opening, Mudrock was surprised to see the person standing in front of him, a blonde Wolper woman with a sharp glint in her eyes.
This was a warrior with rich combat experience, Mudrock immediately realized in his mind.
However, the other party did not make a move, so it was probably a friendly gesture. She turned her gaze to Su Rui Su Rui, who was sitting side by side with Suzuran on a soft sofa, her legs swinging slightly as she chewed on a piece of salty jerky.
Having just expended a lot of energy, I naturally need to sit down, have a hot drink, and eat something delicious to replenish my energy.
The nine tails behind them swayed incessantly, occasionally colliding with Suzuran's tail. However, neither Su Rui nor Suzuran minded; on the contrary, they found it quite amusing, fighting with their tails behind them while eating.
After noticing Mudrock, Su Rui put down her snacks and smiled at Mudrock.
"Long time no see, Mudrock! How have you been?"
"Not bad." Mudrock greeted Su Rui somewhat awkwardly, then looked at him:
"Are you really His Highness Prince Su Rui?"
"Of course it's me. I know you have many questions, just ask, and I'll answer them."
Su Rui shrugged. He didn't intend to explain himself; once he had resolved Mudrock's questions, he would let her leave.
Mudrock nodded. "Shouldn't you be in Kazdel? And how did you end up like this?"
"That's not important. Theresa knows about this, so you don't need to worry about it."
Su Rui's words silenced Mudrock's other questions, and the girl nodded after a moment of silence.
I have no more questions.
"Now it's my turn to ask questions. What brings you here? What is your purpose?"
Seeing Mudrock's current state, Su Rui certainly didn't think she was there to attack the city, so she was a little curious. Surely she couldn't just be fleeing like before? If she did, wouldn't all the work he'd done in Kazdel have been for nothing?
Mudrock nodded, showing no displeasure at Su Rui's lack of an answer, because this was the Su Rui she knew. She patiently explained:
"We accepted Princess Theresa's mission to gather the Sarkaz had been scattered abroad. Many of Sarkaz are living in poverty, or even on the verge of death. Returning to Kazdel would be a good thing for them."
"I see. No wonder you all look well-equipped, but there are still some people in your team who don't seem to have much combat experience."
Su Rui nodded. "What if they don't want to go back?"
"Her Highness Theresa forbids us from forcing anyone, so we will not force her to return if she does not wish to."
Mudrock spoke, perhaps feeling that her description of Naixueer wasn't precise enough, she added:
"However, certain special cases are different. If someone clearly lacks the ability to survive outside but still refuses to return, we will forcibly tie them up and take them back."
"Simply put, it's about forcibly taking the stubborn child back, right?"
Su Rui found it somewhat interesting and opened her Scanning Vision to take a look:
"There are Sarkaz here too, do you need my help?"
Volume 7, Chapter 411: Where are we going?
"Is that okay?" Mudrock's eyes lit up, and he looked at Su Rui with a hint of surprise.
"Well, I am also the coordinator of Kazdel, Your Highness. It's no trouble for me to do you this little favor."
As Su Rui spoke casually, he reached out and gently tapped the observation window on the Mudrock's "chest," then took out an eyepiece from his System Space:
"Use this to mark all the Sarkaz; you can go find them one by one."
Mudrock nodded and took the goggles. "Thank you for your help. I won't bother you any longer."
After saying that, Mudrock nodded to Su Rui, then turned and left the room where Su Rui was.
Suzuran watched Su Rui and Mudrock's interaction with curiosity from the side, without saying a word. The little girl just quietly ate the snacks beside her, replenishing her energy while her big eyes darted around.
Vulpisfoglia watched Mudrock's departing figure with a somewhat subtle expression. "He clearly looks like a very tall and dangerous warrior, but I never expected him to be like that under his protective suit."
"Who knows? But the contrast is quite nice."
Su Rui shrugged. Suzuran of the Valley, standing beside him, looked at Su Rui and Vulpisfoglia with some confusion as they spoke in cryptic terms. She tilted her head, and her large, fluffy ears twitched.
"Mom and Dad? What are you saying?"
"I was talking about that person from earlier. Although she looked scary, this is what she looked like underneath her protective suit."
Su Rui smiled, took out her tablet, and showed Suzuran of the scene where Mudrock had taken off his protective suit.
Suzuran looked at the older sister on the tablet screen and exclaimed in surprise, "She's a very pretty older sister!"
"She is indeed very beautiful." Having already seen through Su Rui's Scanning Vision, Vulpisfoglia didn't show much surprise. She simply smiled, walked to Su Rui's side, pinched Su Rui Su Rui's cheek, and pulled her into her arms.
'You really don't know her at all?'
Vulpisfoglia seemed unwilling to let Suzuran know about this, so Su Rui answered her in her mind, "Of course, if there's anything going on, I'll tell you directly."
Vulpisfoglia nodded and smiled at Suzuran, "Little Lisa, are you hungry? Shall we go and make something to eat?"
