Ark Simulator, Don't I Have No Physical Form?
"Are you telling riddles again? Even if I ask you now, you still won't tell me, right?" Vulpisfoglia glanced helplessly at Su Rui and continued driving towards the destination Su Rui had marked.
"Not really, it's just that if I say something twice, it sounds repetitive. Anyway, you'll get the answer, right? I promise there won't be any trouble, okay?"
Vulpisfoglia nodded. She hadn't originally planned to dwell on this matter with Su Rui. She drove quickly to a relatively open, unused area in New Wolseini.
"Sometimes this is a rest area for truck drivers, but most of the time they gather in another, larger area to help each other. They only come here when they don't have time to go there or when they have other commitments."
As Su Rui spoke, she pushed open the car door and got out. "Let's go, let's go see the Kingbreaker."
"Um."
Vulpisfoglia stayed close to Su Rui. Having already learned of the Kingbreaker's identity, she remained vigilant, ready to draw her weapon at any moment to parry attacks from the shadows.
However, in Su Rui's Scanning Vision, the location of the Kingbreaker had actually been marked from the very beginning.
Behind a hidden rock, Vulpisfoglia saw the figure of the Kingbreaker hiding.
Su Rui stopped some distance from the rock with Vulpisfoglia, picked up a small stone from the ground, and threw it behind the rock.
Scanning Vision, Vulpisfoglia saw the small stone bounce on the ground and hit the Kingbreaker's thigh.
However, the Kingbreaker still showed no intention of revealing herself, only holding her weapon in her hand, seemingly ready to use her Originium Memory at any moment.
Su Rui wasn't quite sure how to persuade the person in front of him at this moment, so he directly stated what had attracted the Kingbreaker's attention the most:
"Lyudmila, do you want to know about your master?"
"What do you want to say?" Upon hearing that it was about her teacher, the Kingbreaker became excited and, disregarding the potential danger she might be in, emerged from behind the large rock. She then saw Su Rui and Su Rui beside Vulpisfoglia.
After a moment of surprise, the Kingbreaker looked Su Rui up and down with suspicion. "I should have seen you before, but you shouldn't have Wolper back then."
"Hmm, that means the person you knew before was indeed me. Okay, let's get straight to the point. Do you want to know why your teacher died?"
"Wasn't she killed by Red? That wolf from Rhodes Island." The Kingbreaker frowned, wondering what was so interesting about this.
"Red is just an assassin sent out. Rhodes Island has no reason to do that. Guess who sent Red out? Here's a hint: Red and Rhodes Island are actually only cooperating at the moment; she hasn't fully joined Rhodes Island yet."
"So, she has another employer? Who is it?"
"A woman who calls herself Grandma raises children like Red and sends them hunting for her own amusement."
As Su Rui spoke, watching the Kingbreaker gradually relax, she sat down in front of her:
"This kind of hunting is actually aimless, but at least these deaths should be attributed to this person who claims to be the Grandma, not Hong."
"... You want to recruit me and Hong, so that's why you said that, right?" The Kingbreaker didn't directly refute Su Rui, but looked into Su Rui's eyes with a questioning tone.
"I do intend to recruit you." Su Rui didn't refute this, and took out some documents from some System Space, handing them to the Kingbreaker:
"You'll see for yourself when you look at these; I have no reason to lie to you."
"..." The Kingbreaker took the document from Su Rui's hand, took a few steps back, positioned himself at a relatively safe distance from which he wouldn't be attacked, and began to read the document Su Rui had given him.
Vulpisfoglia, of course, had no intention of ambushing the Kingbreaker. While the Kingbreaker was reading the documents, Vulpisfoglia quietly approached Su Rui, hooked her tail around Su Rui's large tail, and rubbed her cheek against his.
When the Kingbreaker finished reading and looked up, he saw two foxes, Su Rui and Vulpisfoglia, wrapped their tails around each other and rubbed their cheeks affectionately.
"... Ahem, I've finished reading." The Kingbreaker cleared his throat somewhat irritably, interrupting Su Rui and Vulpisfoglia's intimate interaction:
"Since you've given me such detailed information, it means you also have ideas and plans targeting that Grandma, right?"
"Of course, this disgusting guy needs to be eliminated. It'll also give you revenge, won't it?"
As Su Rui spoke, she looked at the Kingbreaker: "So you're coming? And while you're at it, why not consider joining Rhodes Island? You just set a fire, are you really planning to stay here?"
The Kingbreaker stiffened for a moment, then nodded. "You really know a lot."
"What else did you think? No one can match my intelligence-gathering abilities."
Su Rui said smugly, taking out a picnic mat from her System Space, laying out some food, and beckoning to the Kingbreaker:
"You haven't eaten yet, have you? Come over, let's eat and chat."
The Kingbreaker nodded and sat down next to Su Rui.
What are you planning to do?
"Of course, it's about killing that Grandma. I plan to make her death more dramatic. By the way, we're going to see some blood later."
Volume 7, Chapter 454: A Seed Planted in the Heart
Upon hearing that Su Rui was going to see the blood, the Kingbreaker instinctively gripped her weapon nervously, but after a brief moment of thought, he relaxed and released his grip.
"I understand, you don't want me to fight with Hong, right?"
"Of course, with me here, Hong won't clash with you. In fact, Hong never intended to harm you after she found out you weren't Lupo."
The Kingbreaker nodded unhappily. "I understand. I won't lay a hand on her. If you can really help me get rid of that woman called Grandma, I have nothing else to do. Joining Rhodes Island is a good option."
They're being hypocritical; they've already made up their minds, but they still insist on being stubborn.
Su Rui glanced sideways at the Kingbreaker, but didn't expose her. "That's good. We'll go find Red after we finish eating. Actually, Red isn't far from here."
"Of course it's not far. I was planning to catch up with her anyway." The Kingbreaker was, after all, an experienced assassin, and she had her own pride.
"But you're going in the wrong direction; Red gave you the wrong information."
As Su Rui spoke, she took out her phone and showed it to the Kingbreaker:
"The red one is here, but you've been misled by the information she deliberately left behind."
The Kingbreaker glanced at the message on Su Rui's phone and nodded. "... I understand."
Then, picking up several sandwiches and a bottle of water from the picnic mat, the Kingbreaker, seeing that Su Rui and Vulpisfoglia didn't seem to be planning to eat at this time, urged:
"I'm ready, let's go."
Afterwards, the three of them got into the car. Su Rui, sitting in the passenger seat, asked the Kingbreaker was eating in the back seat, with some curiosity:
"Speaking of which, you're clearly not Lupo, so why do you still feel nervous and wary when you're around Red?"
"... This has nothing to do with my race. It's that girl named Red. Her deliberately cultivated sense of oppression and murderous aura makes people instinctively wary."
The Kingbreaker glared at Su Rui in the rearview mirror with annoyance, then continued to focus on eating his sandwich.
Chasing Red, preventing fires, and evading potential investigations kept her constantly on the move, leaving her no time to eat. So, the Kingbreaker was now quite hungry.
Su Rui didn't bother the Kingbreaker any further, and Vulpisfoglia quickly drove Su Rui to where Red was.
"This is it. We need to wait here for a bit. Red keeps moving, so waiting here is the best course of action."
As Su Rui spoke, she got out of the car and leaned against a telephone pole on the somewhat deserted street.
The Kingbreaker stepped down from the back seat, surveyed his surroundings, and suddenly spoke:
"Mitlan Street, the truck drivers have been bringing in goods for construction work on this street lately, but it doesn't seem to be bustling enough yet."
This is probably why the Red Dynasty moved here. Su Rui nodded, looking around at the still lifeless street.
If we compare streets to organs, then humans are like blood. Now that the organs are gradually complete, all that's needed is the injection of blood to unleash their vitality.
Given the abilities of the Kingbreaker and Vulpisfoglia, they would surely spot Red when she passed by. Su Rui glanced at Red's location, which would arrive in about half a minute, and casually strolled around them, surveying the surroundings.
A short while passed quickly, and Red, who was moving in the shadowy corner, also noticed Su Rui, Vulpisfoglia, and the Kingbreaker.
The cautious Red didn't speak directly, but just watched from the shadows until Su Rui waved to her.
"Hey Hong, can we talk outside? I promise the Kingbreaker won't hurt you~" As she spoke, Su Rui reached out and pinched the Kingbreaker's ear:
"You see, she listens to me very well."
The Kingbreaker turned and glared at Su Rui, but in order to achieve her goal and avenge her "Grandma," she ignored Su Rui's action and looked in the direction Su Rui had greeted her.
As expected, Hong emerged from the shadows after hearing Su Rui's words and walked towards Su Rui step by step. She didn't forget to glance at the Kingbreaker beside Su Rui, who pushed her away a distance as she approached.
"The Kingbreaker listens to Su Rui just like Red listens to Kal'tsit?"
"Actually, it's still different." Su Rui glanced at the Kingbreaker had retreated a safe distance, raised his tail and patted Red's head. Red instinctively reached out and hugged Su Rui's tail, then rubbed his cheek against it.
"What does Su Rui want with me?"
"Of course, I have something I want to tell you."
As Su Rui spoke, she took out a small knife from her System Space and handed it to Hong.
"A new knife? It seems a little different." Hong took the knife from Su Rui's hand, then realized that the knife had suddenly disappeared after she took it. So, Hong turned her head and looked at Su Rui with some helplessness, like a child who had done something wrong.
"Don't worry, that knife is very special. I've already given it to you, and Hong can use it anytime."
It's actually a special enchantment mechanism that allows Red to damage certain entities that can theoretically achieve immortality through resurrection.
Although Su Rui hadn't yet learned much about her so-called Grandma, regardless of whether she was a human who enjoyed doing bad things or some kind of creature with a twisted sense of humor, Red now had the ability to kill her.
"Red, I don't quite understand." Red nodded blankly, but she didn't say anything more. She just buried her face in Su Rui's big tail again and took a deep breath.
"Is there anything else, Su Rui?"
"It's nothing, I just wanted to see Hong and give her a gift."
Su Rui patted Red's head with her tail. "Now that I've finished my work, Red, what's next?"
"Red will continue hunting, and then she'll go see her Grandma."
Seemingly trusting Su Rui, Hong directly told Su Rui her next plan.
Upon hearing the word "Grandma," the Kingbreaker could no longer contain himself and immediately asked:
"Can't you take us directly to see your Grandma?"
Hong glanced at the Kingbreaker with a puzzled look, then shook her head. "Grandma, she won't appear until Hong has completed a certain number of hunts. Right now, Hong can't find Grandma either."
And only then could that guy relax. In order to make her death more dramatic, Su Rui could only suppress her inner turmoil and, incidentally, not reveal the location of the Kingbreaker.
Volume 7, page 455: An overview of the clock tower
After lingering with Su Rui's large tail for a while, Red reluctantly left. The Kingbreaker, having nothing else to do, glanced at Su Rui.
"Then I'll head back now. You'll contact me when it's time to take action, right?"
"Of course, you can just wait and see."
Su Rui nodded, waved to the Kingbreaker, and watched her leave his sight.
"What should we do next?" Vulpisfoglia leaned against the hood of the car, watching Su Rui return to her side, and imitated her by leaning against the hood, asking with some doubt.
"Next, of course, we'll wait for the celebration day. After all, if we're going to cause trouble, we'll definitely choose the grandest occasion, right?"
Su Rui glanced at Vulpisfoglia, then raised her hand to reassure her, "Don't worry, I'm not the one causing this trouble. I don't have that kind of plan; I'm just going with the flow."
Vulpisfoglia nodded, then nuzzled Su Rui's cheek against hers. "That's for the best, otherwise I might get angry."
"I'm not afraid of getting angry, what are you going to do about it? You think you can bite me?"
Su Rui gave Vulpisfoglia a defiant look, then Vulpisfoglia pinned her down on the hood of the car.
Vulpisfoglia, perched high above, blocked the sunlight from Su Rui's view, her tone tinged with amusement:
"Your Scanning Vision has already told me that no one ever passes by here. Aren't you afraid I'll drag you up this mountain?"
"That sounds like a lot of fun, doesn't it? There are still a few days until the Fireworks Festival, so we definitely have time now."
Su Rui didn't take Vulpisfoglia's words as a threat. Instead, she smiled at her and said, "So? Want to play games with me here?"
"... I don't intend to be here, at least not on the street."
As she spoke, Vulpisfoglia shoved Su Rui into the back seat of the car, then sat in the driver's seat herself.
Su Rui heard her say, "I just found a nice spot in my Scanning Vision; it'll be perfect for killing time."
The car then suddenly started moving and headed towards a certain direction on an empty street.
Vulpisfoglia led Su Rui to the top of a clock tower:
"It's quiet here, and no one will be able to see us hiding in the corner of the clock tower."
"You were already planning this while I was talking to Red and the Kingbreaker, weren't you?"
Su Rui rolled her eyes in annoyance, but still started the mountain climbing game with Vulpisfoglia.
Vulpisfoglia had her reasons. "I'd be angry if you were so affectionate with that little girl named Red right in front of me, using your tail like that."
"I know... but I need to gain Hong's trust this way." After all, Hong is essentially a mind-control killer for children, and this kind of intimate interaction is the easiest way to gain her trust. It's just that other people don't have Su Rui's kind of approachable charm that makes people subconsciously want to be close to her, so they can't get close to Hong.
"I know, but that doesn't stop me from being angry."
