As Su Rui spoke, she marked some parts in the Eunectes's field of vision, then said, "By the way, relying solely on your men to collect parts and Originium is too slow. I have some plans. First, go ask Inam if there's anything that needs repair. As long as we have the tools and parts, we can fix it."

'Really?'

"Of course, I can fix it anyway, just listen to me."

"I understand," the Eunectes said, looking at Inam. "Inam, do you need anything repaired? Anything is fine. I'll fix it for you, and as payment, how about you give me the item?"

"Are you sure you can fix it?" Inam looked at the Eunectes with suspicion. "I do have some things that need fixing, but they're not simple things."

"We'll only know if it's possible after we try."

"... Then let you try it, but don't make my things even worse."

Inam spoke, she stuffed the parts that the Eunectes had already purchased into the Eunectes's arms, and then said to her, "Come with me."

Volume 8, Chapter 460: Battle! Awesome!

On the way to the item that Inam needed repaired, Su Rui had the Eunectes pretend to stuff the parts into its pocket, and then stored the parts in his System Space.

"Don't worry, none of the parts have really disappeared. I can take them out anytime." Speaking of which, Su Rui had stored a lot of living supplies, and even a car and explosives, but he didn't have any mechanical parts or the like.

'Hmm, that's amazing. Can your System Space store anything?' The Eunectes's eyes sparkled as it glanced at the 30% materialization progress, eager to see what other powerful functions Su Rui would have once it materialized.

The Eunectes, somewhat excited, even wrapped its long tail around its waist several times.

'Of course, anything except living things is acceptable.'

While Su Rui and the Eunectes were chatting, Inam led the Eunectes to the warehouse, opened the door, and let the sunlight stream into the warehouse.

Then Inam pointed to a dusty car and several engines and other mechanical parts placed next to it, and said:

"This vehicle and these machines have been unused for far too long, and some of them have inherent problems. If you can fix them, well, let me calculate, I can give you the price of five thousand mechanical parts."

"Really? That expensive?" The Eunectes looked at Inam in disbelief.

The smaller, dark-skinned Liberi girl shrugged. "Actually, I offered too little, but I don't have anything else here. Even if I offered you a higher price, you wouldn't be able to buy anything else."

"Okay, don't think about it too much. This is the price for technical positions. Hurry up and fix it, then we'll take the things we bought back home."

Su Rui urged the Eunectes to mark the car first: 'Let's start with this one. There are a couple of minor issues, easily resolved.'

The Eunectes nodded, glanced around, pulled the toolbox that Su Rui had marked out from under the shelf, took out a few tools, and then went to the car and opened the hood.

After a simple wiring modification and replacement of screws and other items, the Eunectes got into the car as Su Rui had requested.

He turned the key, started the engine, and it roared to life. The Eunectes looked at Inam: "All done, the car's fixed."

"It's not certain yet."

Inam spoke, she sat in the passenger seat and pointed outside the garage. "Let's take it out and try it out. If it works, I'll help you transport the other parts you bought back."

"That's good?" the Eunectes said, somewhat awkwardly maneuvering the vehicle as it drove out of the warehouse.

"Hmm." Inam nodded. "I drove this car here when I first arrived, but it broke down and I've been leaving it in the warehouse ever since. I'm quite happy to be able to drive it again."

"I see." The Eunectes nodded. Having never learned to drive, she wobbled around in a circle under Su Rui's guidance, then drove back to Inam's garage, before jumping out of the car.

"Okay, I'll fix the next few machines, and then we'll be all set."

"Hmm." Inam nodded, watching as the Eunectes, under Su Rui's guidance, almost without pause, quickly repaired the nearly broken machines and even ran them to test their functionality. She couldn't help but nod in approval.

"How did you do that? Did you specialize in repairs?"

"Yes, I got it from a very good friend of Shelley's."

The Eunectes nodded, a slight blush creeping onto its cheeks, but it didn't continue speaking.

"Okay, I won't ask anymore." Inam looked at the Eunectes and didn't press further, instead jumping out of the car.

"Once these things are repaired, as agreed before, you'll get five thousand mechanical parts. Choose whatever you want."

The Eunectes nodded, then pointed to one of the engines she had repaired. "How many mechanical parts does this cost?"

"1200. Do you need any other machines? I don't need them." Inam nodded.

"Okay, I'll take this one. I don't need the others for now... No, there's this one too."

The Eunectes pointed suspiciously at another machine, silently asking Su Rui, "Why do we need this too? Don't we only need one engine?"

'If I buy both of them, I can make Big Ugly even more powerful. Do you want them?'

"Of course." The Eunectes immediately became firm, then looked at Inam: "It can only be these two; I still need to choose some parts."

"Okay, then put these two parts in the car, and I'll help you transport them back later."

Inam nodded, and led the Eunectes back to her shop, where they selected some more parts and special metals, and then placed the equipment in the car.

"I still owe you a thousand mechanical parts. You can come to me anytime you need them."

Inam, sitting in the driver's seat, said this to the Eunectes, then patted the passenger seat. "Do you want to get in?"

The Eunectes shook its head. "No, I'll take the sedan chair back."

"Alright, I'll send these things to your tribe first."

Inam nodded and drove away from the warehouse.

As the car drove away, the Eunectes called out from afar, "Remember to handle it with care!"

Inam gave a thumbs-up from the car window.

After watching Inam leave, the Eunectes walked back while asking Su Rui expectantly:

"So, Su Rui, how do you plan to transform Big Ugly?"

'Of course, it should have better maneuverability, more agile joints, and short-duration flight capability.'

Su Rui continued, adding, "However, the current materials aren't enough. I see there are quite a few minerals here, so we can start smelting and making our own alloys later."

'Really? You can do this too?'

"Of course I will," Su Rui nodded. "But you can hurry up, we've gotten into a fight with someone."

"What's going on?" The Eunectes asked, puzzled, but didn't ask any further questions. It grabbed its shield and axe and charged out.

In reality, the rainforest is like that—the people are simple and honest, and there are no deep-seated grudges among them. If there is a conflict, it is usually resolved on the spot with fists.

For example, right now, the source of the conflict is that the two sides are arguing about whose singing is better. When the argument fails to reach a conclusion, the residents of the rainforest decisively use their fists as a weapon of criticism.

Some Crocodile People even get carried away when they see Big Ugly equipped with cannons and chainsaws, and want to challenge it.

Su Rui sighed and activated the Big Ugly, knocking unconscious the brute who charged at him.

Then, Su Rui underestimated the recklessness of the Crocodile People. His actions, on the contrary, served as a signal. The Crocodile People noticed Big Ugly's fighting prowess and immediately charged over, howling.

Volume 8, Chapter 461: I'll beat you all to a pulp!

Su Rui had already learned a basic understanding of the survival rules in the rainforest: there are no complicated reasons, and if reasoning fails, you just use your fists.

So, seeing the Crocodile People roaring and charging towards the Big Ugly he was driving, Su Rui didn't hold back. He casually played a high-energy electronic song on a cassette player, then moved to the front from the encirclement of his subordinates from the Eunectes tribe and began attacking with the Big Ugly's fists and saw.

Of course, considering the limited medical resources in the rainforest, Su Rui did not start the chainsaw; instead, he simply used his fists and the blade of the circular saw to knock the Crocodile People charging at him away.

To demonstrate the intimidating power of the Big Ugly, Su Rui even used the Big Ugly's mechanical arm to grab an unlucky guy and throw him away.

Considering that being hit by a cannonball might not be fatal for Terra, and being thrown around shouldn't cause them any serious injury.

With this in mind, and influenced by the pulsating electronic music, Su Rui also got a little carried away. The mechanical gears and hydraulic rods propelled the Big Ugly creature forward, and the buzzing sounds made when it swung its fists and chainsaws accelerated his blood flow, making him increasingly excited.

Su Rui couldn't contain himself any longer. He controlled Big Ugly to let out a powerful electronic battle cry, and then charged out.

Although the Big Ugly mecha looks very clumsy, it is still able to perform movements similar to running.

However, this causes significant wear and tear on the currently imperfect and low-quality machine.

Su Rui piloted his mecha into the encirclement. Big Ugly's two mechanical arms opened, and with just a light wave, they swept across a large group of people.

But the Crocodile People were not afraid; instead, they roared excitedly, attracting more and more people to join the fight.

Don't these guys know what it means to shut up?

While Su Rui was enjoying the battle, Konoha kept an eye on the condition of the Big Ugly's mech, realizing that this kind of high-intensity fighting style couldn't be maintained for long.

After all, the Big Ugly is actually a stationary machine that relies on cannons and chainsaws to deal damage.

It seems I'll need the Eunectes's help: ' Eunectes? Hasn't it arrived yet? I need your assistance.'

'I've arrived.' In the Scanning Vision, the Eunectes had already rushed out of Inam's yard and saw the Crocodile People engaged in a melee. It immediately charged towards them.

"Get out of my way!" To prevent the Big Ugly from being damaged, the Eunectes let out a battle roar, held its shield in front of it, and then used its charge to push back the swarms of Crocodile People.

Then, the Eunectes nimbly climbed up and sat back on the Big Ugly machine. "This farce is over, stop it!"

The Eunectes's roar instantly silenced the crowd, but after a moment of astonishment, the Crocodile People erupted in cheers again, charging towards the Eunectes Eunectes the Big Ugly driven by Su Rui.

'Looks like your intimidation isn't enough; these guys don't listen to you.'

Su Rui said with a hint of sarcasm, while the Eunectes looked impatiently at the Crocodile People rushing towards them again, frowned in displeasure, and then said:

"I remember Big Ugly's cannon had ammunition in it, right? Fire a shot at them."

"Really? Aren't you going to think about it? What if someone gets hurt?" Su Rui asked uncertainly.

The Eunectes didn't have many thoughts on this, and just kept urging, "That's the law of survival in the rainforest. They provoke me, and then I have to fight back. If I get hurt, I can't blame anyone else."

"Okay." Su Rui nodded and fired a shot at the most concentrated direction of the charging Crocodile People.

The artillery fire caused a tremendous roar, and even Big Ugly would have stumbled if Su Rui hadn't been prepared.

Those Crocodile People affected by the shockwave of the artillery fire were blasted away. Fortunately, the cannons made by the Eunectes were more like powerful slingshots than cannons, and the shells fired did not explode. Instead, they crashed heavily to the ground like stones.

Even so, it was enough to give these Crocodile People a considerable deterrent effect.

Under the intimidation of the Big Ugly's cannons and strength, and seeing many of their companions sent flying, the remaining Crocodile People finally realized that their strength was insufficient to contend with the giant iron shell in front of them. After a brief moment of thought, they scattered in all directions.

The Eunectes breathed a sigh of relief and gently tapped Big Ugly's metal shell, asking, "Is Big Ugly undamaged?"

There's definitely some wear and tear, but it's not as severe as some other parts. The condition of these parts in the rainforest is still terrible; thankfully, many are made of stainless steel.

As Su Rui spoke, she directly showed the Big Ugly's condition in a diagram to the Eunectes and urged it on:

"Alright, let's go back and start making some modifications to Big Ugly. By the way, are you ready for smelting? I need a lot of manpower; it would be best if people from your tribe could participate."

"No problem." The Eunectes nodded. "We'll have an even better Big Ugly, right?"

"By then, they probably wouldn't be called 'Big Ugly' anymore, right? But there will definitely be better mechs. Also, with smelting technology, you can make more sophisticated weapons. Speaking of which, your weapons are quite primitive."

Apart from a few weapons from outside that were pieced together or forged from metal parts, the vast majority of weapons in the rainforest are homemade by the local residents, such as wooden spears, stone shields, and sharpened stone blades tied to wooden sticks.

Some of the stronger individuals even wore stone armor, which, though rudimentary, did offer some protection.

The Eunectes nodded. "I understand."

Better weapons are certainly desirable, but the Eunectes prefers mechs. However, she asked, "So, is the Big Ugly a type of mech? Could you tell me more about it?"

'Mechs are mechanical combat weapons, and they come in different types and operating methods: humanoid, non-humanoid, remote-controlled, automatic, or directly piloted. There are many classifications, which we will discuss in detail later.'

Su Rui began to show the Eunectes Eunectes different types of mechs and even some that Terra's current technology couldn't achieve, making the Eunectes's eyes sparkle.

"Can we build a mech like that too?"

'There are some things Terra doesn't currently have the manufacturing capabilities for, but making Big Ugly even better is still possible.'

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's hurry back, guys! When we get back, we'll build even better mechs!"

As the Eunectes shouted, her minions cheered.

Volume 8, Chapter 462: The Transformation of the Big Ugly

Back at the Eunectes's tribal camp, Su Rui parked the Big Ugly under the shed and then instructed the Eunectes to set aside the parts and machines, planning to make some modifications to the Big Ugly to improve its performance.

Of course, at the same time, the smelting plan could not be abandoned:

'First, we need a large quantity of ore, as well as the necessary smelting facilities and machinery. Once those are done, we can then proceed with the renovation of Big Ugly.'

As Su Rui spoke, she showed the Eunectes the mineral veins she had located using her Scanning Vision:

'There's a mineral vein here; we can make use of it.'

"Hmm, how should I arrange this?"

Just do as I tell you.
