I wrote on and off, and at last I finally wrote the ending I'd set from the very beginning. A soul from Earth— even if the Myriad Worlds were gone, there would still be traces of its existence on Earth, right?

Though it was rushed, the main outline was finished. The journey to seek the scriptures was originally supposed to take up quite a bit of space. My idea at the time was to borrow the original protagonist's perspective to write the changes across the continent after the protagonist's hundred-year plan, but a protagonist who had gone into seclusion was ultimately hard to write, and I'm not good at ensemble casts either. It ended up feeling like children playing house, so I skimmed over it.
