The Mystery of the 2nd Medic: Don't Worry
With its heavy load removed, the battered vehicle's movement was visibly much easier.
As its massive wheels rolled over trenches filled with Originium, the girl's singing soothed the restless souls inside.
They continued onward. Though communication with Blaze had long since been cut off, Nana kept softly singing the song Cole had taught her... Unlike the others, who were merely listening, Nana was mending her soul.
At some point, the sound of debris striking the armor plating overhead stopped. Sunlight appeared along the boundary between sky and earth... As Vanilla and Cardigan drifted off to sleep to the song, exhausted and drowsy, Nana opened part of the armored window.
The black clouds still rumbled with thunder, but shafts of light in the distance illuminated a portion of the road ahead. The desert, covered in black crystals, was enough to make anyone shudder.
"...Has the Catastrophe stopped?"
Unlike the two younger-minded girls who could fall asleep to a lullaby even amid a Catastrophe, Jessica only felt her fatigue surpass its limit. Her body and mind both screamed exhaustion, yet she could not feel sleepy in the slightest.
After all, there was a Catastrophe outside. If she fell asleep... she might never wake up.
"No. A massive amount of Originium Dust has merely fallen from high altitude. The energy burst and radiation affected
