Halo manifestation 78 A body-strengthening Witchcraft release manifests a Halo and improves her physical condition, but her Feline ears—and the hearing she depends on—disappear.
Feline Mode / Sankta Mode distinction 79 Establishes Feline Mode as her usual Medic form and reserves the more conspicuous, stronger Halo-bearing Sankta Mode for agent work or exceptional circumstances.
Shared Halo-network applications 79 81 Rosemary can access similar enhancement through the Bruce family bond; Nana later uses a joint casting unit to let Jessica access her Arts and Halo, though synchronization is dangerous.
Warp navigation and prophecy 152 Learns that observed Dominions within the Warp collapse into real-world points, allowing her to trace observers and navigate toward them.
Upgraded Halo 175 During combat with Artificial Angels and Sacred Remains, her Halo gains new functions, including unusually precise self-status tracking and defensive absorption effects.
Fully unleashed Halo state 279 The Halo expands from a simple ring into a cross-shaped star, massively amplifying her physical ability and enabling enemy-marking functions.

Background

Nana began the story as No.77, a professional ICA assassin maintaining an ordinary civilian cover in Columbia. She lived in an apartment deliberately selected for its proximity to a fire escape, kept disguises and mission equipment at her safe house, and accepted assassination contracts through a broker and agent network. Her early work included sabotaging an Ursus noble's vehicle with scattered Originium crystals during a public event. 1 2 6

She has no recollection of roughly ten years of her life. When Rhodes Island offered her a place as a field medical operator, she chose the codename Medic, reasoning that she had no past she could not face. Her medical practitioner badge is legitimate ICA-issued documentation and doubles as a portable Arts medium capable of both healing and destructive casting. 15 25

Later investigations connect Nana to the National Laboratory's Angel Project and an earlier identity, No.0 Prototype or Zero. A Site Echo reconstruction depicts Zero's past alongside Diana, Mika, and Nagisa, but Nana recognizes that the system can only generate a probable reconstruction from incomplete evidence. When offered a Memory-Erasure Drug, she refuses it and affirms that she is Nana Ivy rather than No.0 Prototype. 175 183

Appearance

Nana is a small Feline woman, shorter than several girls around her despite being an adult. Her usual appearance combines short black hair, cat ears, a tail, and heterochromatic emerald-and-blue eyes. 2 3 173 203

  • Her hair, eye color, ears, and fur tone can be altered through Arts and Witchcraft disguises. 11 105 173
  • Activating her Halo removes her Feline ears and substantially weakens her hearing. 78 79
  • Her agent disguises have included student uniforms, medical attire, military clothing, and a blonde Lycoris persona. 6 11 148
  • Her newer combat attire uses Liquid Fabric: a matte-black suit that can form armor over her body before retracting into an unobtrusive low-power layer. 300 301
  • For formal occasions, she can extend and arrange her hair into an updo, wear a white tulle dress, and apply elaborate makeup. 280

Personality

Nana initially approaches life with an assassin's detached practicality. She is accustomed to treating assignments, cover identities, and even danger as professional obligations; the violence in her remembered life as No.77 is extensive enough that Kate struggles to find a “less bloody” memory to review. 12 78

Her detachment does not make her indifferent. She defends Matilda from neighborhood bullying, refuses to abandon vulnerable people who seek her protection, and consistently prioritizes the survival of teammates and civilians. She is particularly protective of children and inexperienced partners, even when she frames that concern as operational necessity. 2 61 85 167

Nana becomes increasingly expressive after joining Rhodes Island and reconnecting with people linked to her past. She accepts responsibility for the consequences of her actions, chooses to protect others' ordinary lives with her abnormal power, and develops into a patient instructor who explains not only what to do, but why. 147 156 175 290

Abilities & Skills

Assassination and Infiltration

Nana is an ICA-trained assassin who specializes in covert entry, disguises, environmental manipulation, and rapid elimination of targets.

  • Maintains multiple civilian and operational identities, including medical, student, military, and Lycoris covers. 6 11 146
  • Uses safe houses, escape routes, covert backpacks, false occupational credentials, and improvised cover stories. 2 6 235
  • Can infiltrate heavily defended camps and facilities by studying patrols, Arts detection, terrain, and entry routes. 96 178
  • Uses makeup professionally and teaches Typhon how to adapt her appearance for city operations. 148
  • Her stealth-oriented instincts can conflict with direct battlefield operations; she prefers controlled missions over uncontrolled pursuits. 96 309

Originium Arts and Witchcraft

Nana is described as an all-rounder in Originium Arts, with access to an unusually broad range of Teekaz-derived techniques. 60 79

  • Uses Firearms Arts through customized guns and casting units. 6 98
  • Can manipulate blood, summon stone golems, and employ spatial and temporal techniques. 60
  • Uses Witchcraft for physical enhancement, disguises, and specialized combat rituals. 78 86
  • Can employ defensive Arts shields capable of stopping crossbow volleys and protecting vital areas. 252
  • Her more intensive Arts use places physical and mental strain on her and can be less effective against highly Arts-resistant enemies. 174 236

Halo System

Nana's Halo is a command-system-like power that transforms her combat capabilities.

  • Greatly enhances strength, speed, durability, and physical performance. 79 279
  • Has a less conspicuous Feline Mode and a powerful, highly visible Sankta Mode. 79
  • Can share or synchronize portions of its benefits through compatible connections, including Rosemary and Jessica. 79 81
  • Full activation compromises her hearing because her Feline ears disappear. 78 79
  • Its escalation can provoke fear in observers and risks pulling Nana toward a colder, weapon-like state of mind. 173 279

Empathy, Thought Chain, and Prophecy

Nana is linked to the Bruce family through Arts, a Thought Chain Ring, and forms of Empathy.

  • Can communicate with the Sacred Remains through Empathy. 183
  • Remains connected to Rosemary/Little Cat through the Thought Chain Ring. 67 79
  • Uses the Warp's Dominion phenomenon to identify the real-world locations of people observing her. 152
  • Experiences involuntary prophetic memories when exposed to certain Witchcraft, including visions that may originate from her distant past rather than the future. 171
  • Cannot fully interpret Demon-language whispers or reliably identify every observer within the Warp. 152

Medical Practice

Though originally an assassin, Nana is a capable field medic and formally serves Rhodes Island as Medic.

  • Holds certification to treat Operators during field deployments. 25
  • Uses a medical Arts medium and modular scalpels as part of her physician loadout. 15
  • Treated Nana's own wounds while refusing to leave Matilda unprotected. 23
  • Stabilizes and treats wounded allies and defeated enemies when the situation permits. 96 291
  • Saves Zhuoya while she is near death, demonstrating the overlap between Nana's medical and combat roles. 252

Liquid Fabric Combat Suit

Nana's modified Liquid Fabric suit serves as a concealed combat platform and Arts amplifier. 300 301

  • Armor Mode forms matte-black protective armor and a helmet. 300
  • Strength Mode compensates for her lower physical force in Feline Mode. 300 301
  • Speed Mode improves movement performance. 300 301
  • Invisibility Mode uses Optical Camouflage, allowing the suit to cast supporting spells while Nana remains concealed. 300
  • Its low-power urban configuration sacrifices most physical protection for discretion and reduced response time. 300

Equipment

  • Silver Dancer pistols — Nana's custom firearms, fitted with her Arts medium and casting unit. 147 287
  • .45-inch Etch Round handguns — compact seven-round pistols with chrome slides, luminous sights, and anti-slip grips. 6
  • Covert Combat Backpack — organization-modified backpack enabling a light combat loadout without overt tactical gear. 6
  • Medical Arts medium — legitimate practitioner badge used for treatment and destructive spells. 15
  • Liquid Fabric combat suit — transforming suit with armor, strength, speed, and optical-camouflage functions. 300 301
  • SHD Arts Terminal — includes intelligence functions, tactical support, and the Site Echo System. 183
  • Thought Chain Ring — connects her with Little Cat through the Bruce family's Arts. 67 90
  • Blue-and-white butterfly knife — a sharp gift from Kannott. 59 96
  • Heart-Aspect Sword — a weapon forged through the Warp with Nian's guidance. 287 288
  • Tactical Unit — Nana's heavier combat platform; its full thruster and reactor concept exceeds what Liquid Fabric can reproduce. 301

Relationships
