Dai Chengfeng returned to Wu'an City and learned how Dai Xuan had oppressed its people and dismantled his reforms. After winning the soldiers’ loyalty and defeating Dai Xuan, Dai Chengfeng set his sights on Xu Guotao and began gaining new insight.

• Qian Renxue delivered Zhu Yan’s letter, revealing that Dai Xuan had taken control of Wu'an City, disbanded Dai Chengfeng’s Imperial Guards, and demoted Zhu Yan.
• Dai Chengfeng left Heaven Dou City with Ye Renxin, Ye Lingling, Dugu Bo, and Dugu Yan, defeating Yu Tianheng when he tried to stop Dugu Yan from leaving the academy.
• On the journey, Dai Chengfeng refined the Evil God Power in his wings, evolved his Nine Nether Profound Wind, and encountered Yu Xiaogang and Tang San in Notting City.

Dai Chengfeng mastered new spear techniques, secured the Breaking Clan’s loyalty, and was summoned to Spirit Hall after Xu Guotao’s death. After defeating Hu Liena, he became the focus of a dispute between Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue over who would take him as a disciple.

• Dai Chengfeng perfected the White Tiger Overlord Spear’s second form, Soaring, and broke through to Soul Power Level 32.
• Dai Chengfeng defeated Yang Wudi in a spear duel, awakened the third form, Limitless Intent, and won the Breaking Clan’s loyalty by promising protection from Spirit Hall.
• Zhu Fan told Dai Chengfeng that Xu Guotao had died from poison and that Emperor Dai An had ordered him back to Star Luo City, while Bibi Dong sent him a personal letter.

Dai Chengfeng balanced Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue’s competing plans while entering Death Canyon to cultivate his power. He formed and then shattered an early Divine Slaughter's Domain, strengthened his bond with Qian Renxue, and ended the stretch fighting an invisible Human-Faced Demon Spider Emperor.

• Dai Chengfeng accepted Bibi Dong as his teacher while secretly signaling Qian Renxue, then convinced Bibi Dong that he would not oppose her plans to unify the continent.
• Dai Chengfeng and Qian Renxue agreed to cooperate, and he later told Bibi Dong about her approach so Bibi Dong could control what intelligence he passed along.
• Dai Chengfeng entered Death Canyon with Qian Renxue, Hu Liena, Yan, and Xie Yue, where Hu Liena challenged him to compete against them in killing Soul Beasts and Evil Soul Masters.

After fusing with a Spirit Bone and reaching level 40, he was ordered to lead Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan at the Great Soul Arena, where Yu Xiaogang and the Shrek students had also arrived.

• Dai Chengfeng used Life and Death Arena to shrink himself, Qian Renxue, and the Human-Faced Demon Spider Emperor, then killed the beast and refined its killing aura into Divine Slaughter's Domain.
• Qian Renxue left with Qian Daoliu to obtain her Soul Ring, while Dai Chengfeng set out to grow stronger and Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan lured Soul Beasts into a valley.
• Dai Chengfeng rescued Hu Liena from the Soul Beast horde and slaughtered the beasts with his domain, prompting Hu Liena to recognize their strength gap and resolve to catch up.
