"What are you going to do?"
When Li Mao stood before him with that cup of black-market magic potion, Wan Fuqi finally spoke.
Li Mao had made no attempt to hide the entire process of drugging him from the person involved.
But there were simply too many white powdered drugs.
Wan Fuqi had no way of knowing what this cup of water would mean for him.
He could only glean a little from the young man before him.
Although Wan Fuqi's right hearing aid had malfunctioned, he could still read lips.
As long as Li Mao spoke...
Unfortunately, while he did not look like a very reliable little stutterer, he was exceptionally professional when it came to work.
Not only had he said nothing unnecessary after entering, but every movement he made was swift and decisive.
Electric shocks, restraints, drugging.
Every step flowed together, leaving the prey no time to catch his breath.
And when faced with his prey's question, Li Mao merely held that cup of water containing floating white powder and watched him in silence.
Suddenly, Li Mao shot out a hand and clamped down on Wan Fuqi's jaw.
Wan Fuqi immediately began struggling violently, trying to break free of his restraints.
For a moment, the previously quiet room filled with the harsh screech of chair legs scraping repeatedly against the floor, interspersed with Wan Fuqi's heavy breathing.
The Omega's struggle made it somewhat difficult for Li Mao to control him with one hand.
He frowned irritably.
Slap!
The sharp, vicious sound of a slap brought the chaos to another abrupt halt.
Half of Wan Fuqi's face began swelling at a visible rate. Clear finger marks appeared on his cheek, the red and white contrast looking rather shocking.
That sudden slap was deeply humiliating, pushing this two-thousand-yuan transaction to a whole new level of hatred.
Wan Fuqi kept his face turned aside, his black hair, slightly damp with sweat, hanging over his forehead and obscuring his expression.
This time, he became obedient.
Li Mao easily pried open his mouth and, in one smooth motion, poured the entire cup of water into the Omega's mouth.
There was not a trace of tenderness in Li Mao's movements.
They were so simple and rough that it was hard to believe he was treating the Omega who, an hour ago, had been praised as a "flower on a high mountain."
And those few seconds of silence earlier had only been spent sensing Wan Fuqi's pheromones.
He had always felt that this man's reactions, demeanor, appearance, and build were nothing like what an Omega ought to have.
His instincts, honed from long years as a hunter, left him faintly uneasy.
Perhaps because he had been provoked, after the electric shock, the concentration of Omega pheromones in the room kept rising.
After that slap landed on his face, the faint scent of tuberose became almost pungent.
Floral scents were indeed a common type of pheromone scent among Omegas.
And surrounded by such dense pheromones, Li Mao, as an Alpha, did not become restless or agitated. Instead, he felt a faint stirring within himself, proving beyond doubt that the other man really was an Omega.
Li Mao felt that perhaps he had been overly jumpy.
Still, being cautious was not a bad thing.
Li Mao held the Omega's jaw in one hand, waiting until his Adam's apple bobbed and the sound of swallowing came before releasing him.
Out of responsibility to his employer, after setting the glass on the table, he forcefully pried open the Omega's mouth again with his fingers.
The insides of his cheeks, the base of his tongue...
He stirred the Omega's mouth into a complete mess, carefully checking whether he had truly swallowed every last drop.
Only after confirming that the task had been completed smoothly did Li Mao take out his phone and compose a text to notify his employer that everything was in place, so he could make a perfect exit.
Otherwise, if the out-of-control Omega pheromones triggered his susceptible period later, he would be finished.
Just as Li Mao unlocked his phone, he suddenly remembered that he had not put away the remaining half packet of medicine.
So, while editing the message, he turned and walked toward where he had taken the glass earlier.
Of course, he had to take the other half packet with him.
What if his employer arrived, discovered that he had not followed instructions and had only used half a packet, then cut his payment in half as well?
At that moment, Wan Fuqi, still tightly bound to the chair, finally understood what the little stutterer had put into the water.
The good news was that it was not lethal.
The bad news was that it would make him lose control.
Like a trapped beast pacing endlessly in its cage, Wan Fuqi desperately searched for a way out.
He stared fixedly at the young man's back, centered in his field of vision.
His light golden hair was gathered into a loose bun at the back of his head, with several unruly strands falling free and clinging to the pale, slender nape of his neck.
Wan Fuqi pressed his tongue against his sharp canine tooth.
What should he do?
He wanted to mark this Alpha so badly he was nearly going mad.
A faint burning pain lingered in his back, and the numb swelling in his cheek had yet to fade.
Wan Fuqi's nostrils flared as he gathered himself to strike.
Hearing the abnormal breathing behind him, Li Mao turned back for another look uneasily.
Seeing that the Omega was still firmly secured to the chair, he relaxed and prepared to press Send, delivering the message he had just composed to his employer.
But before his fingertip could touch the Send button, a heavy object crashed to the floor behind him with a bang.
Li Mao reacted with extraordinary speed and turned to check what had happened.
Yet he was still one step too late.
Before he could see what was happening behind him, a pair of arms locked him tightly in an embrace.
Even though that Omega was only a few centimeters taller than him, Li Mao felt a thread of overwhelming fear rise from the depths of his heart.
Li Mao lifted his foot, trying to kick the man behind him, but his attempt was thwarted before it could land.
Li Mao struggled to keep his footing.
But the Omega buried his face in the hollow of his neck, greedily and crazily inhaling his scent.
Wan Fuqi's voice was hoarse.
"Where are you going? Why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
Li Mao cursed angrily, "If you don't want to die, let, let me go!"
Only when he felt the Alpha's vocal cords vibrate in his arms did Wan Fuqi raise his head. He forcibly turned Li Mao's face toward him.
Looking at Li Mao's tightly sealed lips, Wan Fuqi gave a gentle command. "Say it again."
