The next instant, the two moon blades attacking Dai Mubai suddenly merged into a full moon, spinning several times faster than before.

The force generated by the rapidly spinning full moon swiftly broke through Dai Mubai's defenses, brushing past his shoulder and leaving behind a thin streak of blood.

Dai Mubai understood that Xie Yue had shown him mercy. He could clearly sense that the final moon blade could have embedded itself in his flesh, or even severed his arm.

Dai Mubai clasped his hands in salute. "I lost. The room is yours."

Xie Yue returned the gesture. "Thank you for letting me win. Then we'll gratefully accept. May I ask your name?"

"Evil-Eyed White Tiger, Dai Mubai."

Hu Liena walked over at that moment. Seeing this, Xie Yue introduced them. "My name is Xie Yue. This is my younger sister, Hu Liena."

Hu Liena smiled faintly. "Then thank you, Young Master Dai."

Dai Mubai smiled and waved, then turned and left. The three young women who had been following him immediately followed suit and departed with him.

Thus, Hu Liena and Xie Yue successfully settled into the hotel's luxurious room.

Not long after Hu Liena placed the crystal slab on the table, she discovered that two more people had appeared in the room out of nowhere—Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin, who had used a simulation soul skill to conceal their forms and auras before slipping inside.

Hu Liena curled her lips. "That crooked merchant is actually the dean of Shrek Academy? Looks like this Shrek Academy can't be much good either."

Tang Wulin said helplessly, "That's why Brother Yuhao and I planned to become guest instructors of Shrek Academy, guiding the cultivation of you two from the sidelines."

Hu Liena and Xie Yue exclaimed in surprise at the same time.

The corners of Xie Yue's lips rose. "Wouldn't that mean it can even break Wulin's Dragon Gang Energy?"

Tang Wulin coughed lightly. "It's not like that's my only defensive ability. This little thing would barely be enough for me to pick my teeth with."

Hu Liena rubbed her hands together eagerly. "It looks pretty impressive. I kind of want to try it myself."

Huo Yuhao put away the Dragon's Beard Needles and shook his head helplessly. "These are for dealing with enemies. You can't just play around with them."

Tang Wulin nodded in agreement, then said, "It's getting late. You two should get into bed and rest early."

"If we sleep in the bed, where will you two sleep?" Hu Liena asked in confusion.

Huo Yuhao looked at Tang Wulin and smiled. "Aren't there two sofas? Wulin and I can sleep on the sofas."

Xie Yue gave an awkward laugh. "Then we'll have to trouble you two."

Thus, Hu Liena and Xie Yue lay down together on the bed to rest, while Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin each lay down on a sofa.

The following day.

The four walked side by side along a forest path, heading together toward Shrek Academy on the outskirts of Soto City.

Hu Liena rubbed her forehead helplessly. "Isn't Shrek Academy a little too remote?"

Xie Yue said helplessly as well, "That crooked merchant dean must not have had enough money to rent land, so he came all the way out to this wilderness to run a school."

Tang Wulin sighed. "This really is quite a long way. Brother Yuhao, how much farther do we have to walk?"

While fanning Tang Wulin to cool him down with the folding fan in his hand, Huo Yuhao comforted him, "It's nearby. We'll be there in about five more minutes."

When the four saw people lining up ahead, they understood that this was Shrek Academy. Hu Liena and Xie Yue joined the queue, while Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin merely stood to the side and watched.

At that moment, the old man collecting registration fees for Shrek Academy displayed his martial soul and soul power to those waiting in line, radiating the imposing aura of a Soul Emperor.

"Shrek Academy recruits monsters, not ordinary people. If your aptitude isn't sufficient, don't waste your registration fee for nothing."

Hu Liena chuckled and leaned close to her brother's ear. "I think it's because they can't afford to support too many students, so they refuse ordinary people."

Xie Yue smiled helplessly. "Nana really is full of strange ideas. But that does make some sense."

At that moment, a young girl wearing a long teal-blue dress stepped up to the registration desk, dropped ten gold soul coins into the cash box, and voluntarily extended her right wrist.

Dai Mubai said to the girl, "Come over."

Hu Liena and Xie Yue stepped forward together. After paying their registration fees, they each voluntarily extended a wrist as well.

After examining them, the old man exclaimed in surprise, "They really are two little monsters. Their soul power cultivation speed is astonishing. You two, go over there as well."

Thus, Hu Liena and Xie Yue also walked over to Dai Mubai's side.

The next instant, the blue-haired youth Huo Yuhao and the black-haired youth Tang Wulin arrived together before the old man.

Dai Mubai led everyone to a spot not far from a testing table. "Follow the teacher's instructions here for the second assessment. I still need to go out and see whether there are any other students to recruit."

With that, Dai Mubai turned and left, walking alone toward the academy gates.
