Slaughter's Horn

Flender coughed lightly. "I never expected that I'd come here on a whim after seeing an advertisement and actually run into you."

Flender then introduced everyone to Liu Erlong and vice versa. "This is Liu Erlong, the Slaughter's Horn of the Golden Triangle. Erlong, these are the teachers and students of my Shrek Academy. We came today to ask you for a place to make a living."

Liu Erlong looked confused. "Boss Flender, what exactly is going on? How did you end up in such a state?"

"Because our Shrek Academy doesn't have the proper registration qualifications to participate in the competition..."

So Flender began explaining the reason to Liu Erlong.

After learning the situation, Liu Erlong slammed her palm onto the table in anger. "Boss Flender, say no more. Isn't my place your place? From now on, this will be Shrek Academy. Everyone can stay here without worry."

Flender took a sip of tea and raised his brows. "Our requirements for compensation are rather high. Can you afford them?"

Liu Erlong smiled. "That's none of my concern. This academy is yours now, so naturally, such matters are yours to handle. Tomorrow, I'll convene a meeting of all teachers and students to announce that it will be renamed Shrek Academy."

Everyone exclaimed in amazement. Led by Yin Shu, they went together to the second floor of the cafeteria to enjoy the feast.

"Principal Flender, aren't you planning to use the gift I gave you yet?"

After filling his stomach, Huo Yuhao set down his chopsticks and suddenly said this to Flender.

Flender frowned slightly. "You mean giving it to the children now?"

After finishing his meal, Tang Wulin immediately explained on Huo Yuhao's behalf:

"Yes. Most of them are around rank thirty-five now, while Dai Mubai has already reached rank thirty-nine. For this tournament, they must advance to the Soul Ancestor level."

After pondering briefly, Flender guessed, "With some more time spent cultivating afterward, Mubai might even have a chance to advance to the Soul King level."

Huo Yuhao nodded and continued speaking to Flender:

Afterward, Flender called Liu Erlong and Zhao Wuji to take everyone to Sunset Forest to obtain Soul Rings.

Huo Yuhao used his spiritual power to search for soul beasts suited to each of them. Then Liu Erlong, Flender, and Zhao Wuji each struck different soul beasts head-on, gathering the three soul beasts in one place.

In the end, Oscar, Ma Hongjun, and Ning Rongrong delivered the fatal blows to the soul beasts and began absorbing their respective Soul Rings together. Tang Wulin stood beside the three to protect them, while Huo Yuhao stood beside Tang Wulin, directing the entire operation.

While the three were absorbing their Soul Rings, Liu Erlong immediately used the Spiritual Detection Sharing provided by Huo Yuhao to locate the Ghost Tiger. After beating the Ghost Tiger into submission, she brought it back and handed it over to Zhu Zhuqing to kill, allowing her to begin absorbing its Soul Ring.

Likewise, while Liu Erlong was pursuing the Ghost Tiger, Flender and Zhao Wuji, under Huo Yuhao's guidance, brought back the "honest and obedient" Meteor Tiger. Dai Mubai then killed it and began absorbing its Soul Ring.

After everyone finished absorbing their Soul Rings, they recalled the battle scenes they had witnessed through Huo Yuhao's Spiritual Detection Sharing and could not help but shudder.

Ma Hongjun clicked his tongue. "Teacher Erlong is way too violent. She really is a tiger of a woman."

Oscar immediately corrected him. "She's an irritable female fire dragon, not a tiger of a woman. That description doesn't fit at all."

Dai Mubai raised his brows. "The real tiger of a woman should be my Zhuqing."

Oscar and Ma Hongjun exchanged looks, signaling that someone was behind Dai Mubai. Yet Dai Mubai remained completely oblivious, failing to understand what they meant.

"Who are you calling a tiger of a woman?"

"Of course, my Zhuqing."

Dai Mubai blurted it out, only realizing afterward as he turned around. "Ah—Zhuqing, that's not what I meant. Listen to my explanation."

Zhu Zhuqing viciously ground the heel of her high-heeled shoe onto Dai Mubai's instep. Even as she listened to his agonized screams, her anger did not diminish.

Hu Liena immediately laughed at the sight. "You brought this upon yourself."

Flender reminded them, "It's getting late. Hurry back."

Thus, everyone returned to the academy and began their daily routine of classes and cultivation.

Tai Long pointedly questioned Xie Yue, who was seated beside Hu Liena. "Who allowed you to sit beside Hu Liena? Don't you know that only I, the student leader, am qualified to sit in this seat?"

Tang Wulin sat in the corner of the classroom, listening as Huo Yuhao explained the construction and uses of various hidden weapons.

Only after Shao Xin began teaching did the classroom finally fall completely silent, and everyone began listening attentively.
