Euron Endures Humiliation

The sea monster on the black sail twisted its body in the sea breeze, as if it had spotted its prey.

A fleet of over fifty sailing ships and nearly six hundred longships covered an entire expanse of ocean, so large that sailors peering from the masts could not even see the edge of the fleet.

They swept through the waves and broke through the sea breeze. After more than a decade, the Iron Islands Fleet finally set out again in full force, ready to plunder the land that had once submitted to them.

On a long, sleek sailing warship, Euron was piloting his raven to scout ahead.

He received the news almost immediately when Jon's fleet left the harbor. In particular, when he discovered that Jon's fleet had actually set out in full force, the fire of revenge that had been building up and fermenting after two defeats could no longer be suppressed.

The first time was at Highgarden, where Jon seized his own ship; the second time was at the Battle of the Bay of Severed Heads, where he lost his entire army.

Now that Jon's fleet has been mobilized in full force, he can unleash another Sacrificial Magic, decimating Jon's fleet and ideally capturing Jon alive to turn him into his puppet. Then he can take Casterly Rock, the Westerlands, and ultimately seize everything from him!

However, Euron did put in some effort to persuade the Iron Islands lords to fight Jon's fleet.

The Iron Islands Fleet still mainly consists of longships. Although longships are fast, they are low-slung, and their main advantage is their shallow draft, which allows them to land anywhere.

However, it would be troublesome if it were a naval battle, as the longships would be lower than the sailing ships, creating a disadvantage of attacking at an upward angle.

Jon's fleet had five times the number of sailing ships as he did! To boost morale, Euron had no choice but to send the already delirious and controlled Balon to the battlefield.

Because he himself had no boat, he had to board his niece Asha's boat, the Black Wind.

Euron's target for the sacrifice was Asha. He needed to wait for the right moment, to create a storm just as Jon's fleet and the Iron Islands Fleet were about to clash.

Under the influence of the storm, no fleet can maintain its formation, which is when the Iron Islands Fleet can rush in and reap the rewards.

Just then, a provocative voice rang out. "Hey! Prince of the Sunken Ship, are we almost at your memorial?"

As soon as the words were spoken, laughter erupted from all around.

It was common knowledge that Euron's Silence had been burned in a gruesome manner, and that the merchant ships they had recently plundered had also been seized by Jon.

More importantly, he lost nearly a third of the ships in the Iron Islands, leading some to privately call him "Euron the Sinking Ship."

Since he was the king's brother, he was also given the title of "Prince".

Euron had never experienced what it was like to be a dependent.

He glanced back at the burly young sailor, his yellowish eyes glancing furtively at Asha not far away as he spoke.

Euron knew that on Asha's Black Wind, half the crew cared for her, while the other half wanted to sleep with her, so they always vied to flatter her.

"It's alright, Prince Euron. A shipwreck is nothing to the Ironborn."

Euron looked over in surprise when he heard someone actually comforting him.

"As long as you don't sleep with your brother's woman, you're still a good guy!"

"Ha ha ha ha!"

"That's right, it seems like sleeping with your brother's woman will sink your ship."

Euron didn't say anything, he just silently turned his head away, his cold eyes seeming to be brewing poison.

For so many years, the people around him had only looked at him with fear and obedience; he had never tasted such humiliation in his life.

He secretly vowed that once he controlled the Iron Islands and ruled Westeros, he would drown all of them in poison!

If his ship were still intact, and if it weren't for the sacrifice of Asha, he wouldn't have had to endure such humiliation.

And all of this stems from Jon.

Although Asha wasn't close to Euron, she still gave him the respect he deserved. Just as someone was about to provoke Euron, Asha stopped him.

After all, he was his uncle.

"Alright, everyone get back to your positions. The enemy is right in front of us; this is not the time to make fun of each other." Because Asha had a relatively large nose, her voice unconsciously carried a nasal tone, but those who admired her thought her voice was very magnetic.

Asha approached Euron and asked, "Uncle, why did Father agree to fight the Green Lands ' fleet when our fleet was clearly at a disadvantage?"

Euron glanced at his niece and had to admit that he saw a reflection of his elder Balon in her when he was young; she was much better than the nephew he had killed.

Seeing that there was no one around, Euron said in a low voice, "When we are about to go to war with Jon's fleet, I will use magic to create a storm and let the storm win us the victory!"

"Magic!?" Seeing Euron's serious expression, Asha was full of suspicion. "Is that what you told Father?"

"I know you don't believe me, but you'll find out when you come with me."

"Heh, alright then." Asha looked the suspicious uncle up and down; she thought this battle was going to be a bit problematic.

It seems we need to talk to Balon as soon as possible; we can't let Euron continue to cause trouble in the Iron Islands.

Most importantly, Asha didn't believe that Balon would be fooled by Euron's lies; there might be some deeper reason. Now, Asha's suspicions about Euron had deepened.

Ugh-

Just then, short, rapid bugle calls sounded, an early warning of enemy ship detection.

Upon hearing the alarm, Asha began issuing orders methodically. The crew and sailors on the ship performed their duties, like precisely meshed gears.

While their cooperation wasn't quite as good as Euron's mind-controlled mute sailor, it was still excellent.

At sea, they need to observe the enemy with their naked eyes, but Euron possesses the eyes of a raven, which fly in the sky.

He used the ravens to observe Jon's fleet, but soon discovered something unusual— Jon's fleet was far smaller than he had expected, appearing to be less than a third of its expected size.

"What's going on?!"

Euron was surprised. He clearly remembered that Jon's fleet had also set out in full force; all three hundred sailing ships and three hundred longships should have left the port. Why did he see less than a hundred ships?

Euron continued to observe and discovered a bunch of purple grapes on the sail.

This was the flagship of Redwyne Fleet.

Euron sent his crows to scatter and continue observing, and they discovered another adjacent fleet several dozen nautical miles away.

They look about the same size, but they are not close to each other.

In fact, Euron was somewhat puzzled when Euron learned that Jon's entire fleet had been mobilized. He knew that Jon knew he could use Sacrificial Magic. So, if that was the case, Jon shouldn't have sent out his entire fleet.

However, the current situation is also unreasonable. Jon chose to divide his forces, and the fleets in other places could not provide support in time, nor could they make use of their numerical advantage. Instead, they might be defeated one by one.

Euron kept thinking, but he really couldn't understand Jon's intentions.

But soon, the fleet they had first spotted, led by Paxter, appeared not far away. Asha approached Euron and asked, "Uncle, didn't you say you could use magic to destroy their fleet with a storm? Your chance has come."

"No, now is not the time. My magic isn't unlimited. Let's wait. Jon's other fleet is nearby. We need to find a way to lure them over so the storm can destroy as many ships as possible at once!"

Listening to Euron's explanation, Asha thought his reasons were sufficient, but she didn't let her uncle off the hook with her words, who had suffered repeated failures.

"Alright, I hope you can be more reliable this time." With that, Asha stomped away in her boots.

Asha's words reignited Euron's anger, and he vowed that once he had power, he would never allow anyone to speak loudly in his presence again!

In particular, this sarcastic and unsavory approach is not permitted.

The minor incident passed for the time being, and the two fleets soon revealed their full size to each other.

Although Pegster's fleet was smaller in number, it was of better quality. The Iron Islands Fleet, though smaller in number and quality, appeared as a vast, swarming mass of longships, resembling a moving island.

The sound of waves crashing against the hull is like the beat of war drums; the sails billowing in the sea breeze are like fluttering battle flags.

A long horn blast came from the Sea Bitch carrying Balon; it was the call to attack the cape, high-pitched and extremely penetrating.

The bugle call from Paxter's side also resounded, deep but powerful.

The two fleets slowly approached each other, firing probing arrows, most of which fell into the water, while a few struck the hulls of each other's ships.

Several Iron Islands longships, relying on their speed, prepared to harass the enemy from the flanks, but a giant arrow, like a spear, pierced the longship that was trying to approach and harass it with a shrill whistle.

The giant arrow pinned a pirate to the hull of the ship, its force so great that the tail of the arrow was still trembling violently.

"It's a giant crossbow from Casterly Rock!"

A pirate with deep wrinkles on his forehead, clearly old, exclaimed in surprise.

To enhance the firepower of each ship, Jon Snow simply equipped the sailing ships with the giant crossbows and catapults from Casterly Rock.

With the threat of the giant crossbows, the rapidly approaching longships clearly dared not be too reckless. However, the waves on board were high, making it difficult for the giant crossbows to aim.

Aside from the first shot which hit by luck, almost all the other giant crossbows required four or five shots to hit once.

The Iron Islands Fleet and Paxter's fleet continued to approach, and soon the crew members with good eyesight on both sides were able to see the facial features of the other's crew members.

Euron, meanwhile, was closely monitoring the United Fleet in other directions, believing that Jon, who also possessed Raven, would be able to react.

However, after the two sides had fought for most of the pass, the fleets in other directions remained unmoved and instead increased their speed to rush towards the Iron Islands.
