The Silver Dragon
"Now, in the name of Daenerys Stormborn, rightful heir to the Iron Throne, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, ruler of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Princess of Dragonstone, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, Queen of Meereen, Liberator of Astapor, Breaker of Yunkai's Chains, Crusher of Shackles, Tearer of Chains—I sentence you to death!"
Missandei's voice, like a sentencing gavel, crashed down in the Throne Room.
Upon hearing the word "death penalty," the slave owners and nobles below, dressed in Tokar robes, wept bitterly, and their excrement and urine flew everywhere.
They pleaded, insulted, and begged for mercy from Daenerys, who sat high on her throne, but the dragon queen watched them without moving, her mind flashing back to the day her Khal husband poured a pot of molten gold over her Viserys's head.
A strange feeling of power arose within Daenerys.
Although she had experienced the thrill of power more than once, this time, by eliminating the mastermind behind the rebellion of the Sons of the Harpy, she was the undisputed Queen of Meereen, and that experience was naturally incomparable.
Soon a group of slave owners, or so-called Wise Masters Good Masters, were dragged to the execution ground.
In order to avenge her Unsullied soldiers, Daenerys chose the cruel option of public execution, burning them alive with Dragonfire.
The fearless Barristan was in charge of overseeing the punishments.
In fact, Barristan somewhat disapproved of Daenerys's punishments, because Aerys had once enjoyed burning those who opposed her to death.
He worried that Daenerys was using excessive punishments and that things would eventually veer in the direction of Aerys's methods.
Fortunately, compared to the Mad King Aerys, his daughter was more obedient.
Daenerys initially planned to burn hundreds of people alive, but after strong persuasion from Barristan, the number of slave owners who would ultimately receive the Dragonfire punishment was reduced to eighteen.
The eighteen Wise Masters Good Masters were gagged and bound to the gallows, with piles of firewood beneath them ready to be lit. In the distance, a crowd cheered excitedly, wishing they could devour them.
Burn them!
Long live the dragons! Long live the Dragon Queen!
Under the scorching sun, the slave owners, about to be punished, had already accepted their fate; their legs were weak and their eyes were lifeless.
Daenerys deliberately placed the slave owners' execution ground in the former gladiatorial arena.
Slave owners love to see slaves bleed and fight here, so she will make these Great Masters Good Masters taste the bitterness of shedding blood on the execution ground.
Soon, Barristan shouted "Execution!" and the Unsullied soldiers opened the rusty, reddish-brown gates of the arena. A silver-grey dragon, breathing scorching heat, entered the arena.
When the slave owners bound to the gallows saw the giant dragon with its silver fleshy wings folded and crawling on all fours emerge, some closed their eyes in despair, while others cried out in terror, regretting their enmity with the Dragon Queen.
In contrast to the slave owners, the common people who watched the execution saw the dragon as a symbol of a guardian deity.
Daenerys's shouts grew increasingly frenzied as she looked up at the high balcony.
"Viserion! Viserion!"
Long live the Dragon Queen!
Burn them!
Standing on high, Daenerys accepted the cheers of her people with satisfaction, while Young Griff beside her also longed for the scene before him.
He knew that in the history of House Targaryen, no dragon rider had ever been able to ride three dragons at the same time.
While envious, Young Griff also had some worries: would the Dragon Queen agree to marry her nephew and share the dragon with him?
Several months ago, Connington and the others privately revealed their identities to Barristan, especially the fact that Young Griff was actually Young Griff the Younger, the crown prince of Aerys and son of Rhaegar Targaryen.
Barristan was thrilled to learn that Young Griff was actually Young Griff.
However, Connington believed they should have some sense of honor; if they wanted help from others, they should at least offer assistance first.
Most importantly, the evidence against Westeros is still relatively stable, making it not a good time for a counterattack.
At the time, Daenerys was overwhelmed by the rebellion of the Sons of the Harpy, which left her quite distressed.
So the group decided to help Daenerys quell the rebellion, so that they would have a better excuse when they made demands again.
Now that the rebellion has been quelled, Daenerys decides to hold a banquet to celebrate.
The group decided to reveal Young Griff's true identity to the Dragon Queen at the banquet.
However, given the current state of the Dragon Queen, Young Griff believes it's unlikely she'd share the dragons with him, especially since she consistently emphasizes in her titles that she is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
In short, Daenerys's decision was unpredictable, Young Griff decided to wait and see.
The silver dragon, now the size of a carriage, walked step by step toward the trembling slave owners.
It looked at one of the large, obese slave owners, but instead of breathing fire, it opened its gaping maw and bit into his fat belly.
With a splash, red and green liquids scattered all over the ground, terrifying the other slave owners who were being punished, causing them to weep and scream in agony.
Minced flesh was still dripping from the silver dragon's mouth, making the scene exceptionally bloody.
Not only the slave owners, but even the common people watching the execution could hardly bear to look.
Realizing the scene was too brutal, Daenerys shouted towards the arena, "Viserion!"
Upon hearing the Mother of Dragons' summons, the silver dragon turned around, its bright red mouth making it look particularly ferocious.
"Viserion! Dragonfire!"
Upon receiving the command, the dragon looked at the slave owners who were trembling like leaves, spread its hind legs as if to steady itself, and spread its fleshy wings to make itself appear even taller.
The dragon took a deep breath, its silver scales gleaming brightly in the sunlight.
Soon, silver flames, accompanied by the smell of sulfur, shot towards the slave owners.
Under the scorching heat of the silver flames, those plump bodies were ignited one by one.
Long live the Dragon Queen!
The first Unsullied to react shouted.
The terrified civilians gradually came to their senses.
Long live the Dragon Queen!
Long live the Dragon Queen!
Long live the Dragon Queen!
The cheers started sparsely, but soon gradually gathered into waves of sound.
The sound of their voices contained not only respect, but also fear.
Barristan looked up at the Dragon Queen high above, his eyes wide as he scrutinized her beautiful, delicate face, afraid to see even the slightest resemblance to Aerys.
Daenerys's victory celebration was successfully held two days later.
Those who attended were only her, her confidants, and the Westeros team. Although the scale was not very large, the Westeros sergeants certainly didn't appreciate the pomp and circumstance of Slaver's Slaver's Bay.
Because many of the performances are actually "real" striptease.
White Knights like Barristan have upheld restraint as a virtue for decades.
Therefore, it is really inappropriate.
Soon everyone had arrived, and besides Barristan, Connington, Young Griff., Tyrion, the nun, Grey Worm of the Unsullied Legion, and a few locals, there was no one else at the table.
While Daenerys was still getting ready and had not yet arrived, the group secretly discussed how to persuade the Dragon Queen to take her dragons to Westeros.
Connington and the others maintained a low and measured tone of voice to avoid attracting the attention of Grey Worm and his group.
"When His Majesty arrives, we must not be too hasty; we must take it slowly," Connington reminded them again, and everyone agreed, after all, she was Aerys's daughter.
Before taking their seats, the group had already prepared several sets of speeches, repeatedly deliberating and revising them before finally settling on the safest one.
"Well, if you ask me, we should have let Young Griff go first," Tyrion said, looking at Young Griff wearing a hat. "Targaryen have always practiced endogamy, and Young Griff is quite handsome—"
Before they arrived, Young Griff's hair had been washed back to its original color, just in time for the final display.
Before Tyrion could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Connington and Young Griff.
Both father and son, nominally a father and son, refused to be seduced, believing it to be immoral.
Seeing that his opinion had been rejected again, Tyrion shrugged and looked at the scantily clad maid who was pouring them wine.
It is said that Yunkai is famous for producing bed slaves, and Tyrion has gradually adapted to Slaver's Bay after being there for so long.
He was also very curious about just how alluring a woman who knew the art of "springtime tears" would be.
Just as Connington and the others were making their final discussion, Missandei's voice came from the hall. "Her Majesty the Queen has arrived."
Upon hearing that Daenerys was coming soon, everyone stood up, especially Connington and Young Griff., who looked quite nervous.
"Thank goodness, she doesn't have to recite that string of titles every time," Tyrion thought to himself.
Compared to the father-son actor duo, Tyrion actually had it easier.
Soon, the Dragon Queen, with light steps, arrived at the main seat accompanied by two maids.
Please be seated.
After everyone was seated, Daenerys first expressed her gratitude to them.
Connington, in particular, was once Hand of the King for Aerys, so his abilities were truly extraordinary.
He made a great contribution to suppressing this rebellion.
"Sir Connington, I wish you to become my Hand of the Queen and help me reclaim the Iron Throne in the future."
Faced with the Dragon Queen's invitation, everyone else turned to look at Connington.
Tyrion put down his wine glass; the situation seemed to be getting interesting.
Young Griff was even more nervous; it seemed that what he feared had come to pass.
Connington and his group wanted to take Daenerys away, but Daenerys wanted them to stay.
Connington slowly rose and said, "Thank you for your favor, Your Majesty, but before that, I want to be frank with you."
"Frank?"
Daenerys was confused, but then she saw Connington look at Young Griff, and her gaze followed Connington's to Young Griff.
Young Griff slowly rose, removed his hat, revealing a head of silver hair.
"Your Majesty, standing before you is Aegon Targaryen, son of Prince Rhaegar."
