Xu Yanche got up promptly at five thirty in the morning.
He switched on the warm yellow lamp on the bedside table.
Then climbed out of bed.
He had only gotten halfway up.
When someone wrapped an arm around his waist.
The next second, he was pulled into a warm embrace.
He Qing's voice was hoarse and groggy from just waking up. "Why are you getting up so early? Sleep a little longer. The show isn't until this afternoon. It's still early."
He Qing wasn't wearing any clothes.
His body was bare.
Even through the thin fabric, Xu Yanche could feel the firm lines of He Qing's muscles.
Xu Yanche said, "I'm getting up early to exercise."
He Qing nuzzled clingily against Xu Yanche's shoulder. "Morning kiss."
Unable to take it any longer, Xu Yanche smacked He Qing's solid arm. "Can you stop being horny first thing in the morning? You haven't even brushed your teeth. What are you kissing for?"
That slap woke He Qing right up.
He felt rather aggrieved.
This was a perfectly normal morning reaction.
Was that something he could control?
"You only know how to bully me."
With that, he turned away from Xu Yanche in grievance.
His voice was still pitiful. "You put your pants on and refuse to acknowledge me. I understand. How could a wife compare to a mistress? I don't blame you. I can only blame myself for not being good-looking enough."
Xu Yanche stared at He Qing acting like a wronged little wife and was dumbfounded.
