| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One-Tomoe Sharingan | 5 | Awakens while defending White Wax Island from pirates after his fear for his family drives him into battle. He perceives breathing, muscle contractions, trajectories, and imminent movements in extreme detail. 5 6 |
| Two-Tomoe Sharingan | 8 | Demonstrates two tomoe while discussing the Uchiha bloodline. The inherited instruction identifies this stage as the “Eye of Copy,” capable of retaining observed movements and hand seals if the user’s body can reproduce them. 7 8 19 |
| Three-Tomoe Sharingan | 54 | Displays fully developed three-tomoe eyes alongside his siblings during the confrontation with the Capone Family. The inherited instruction identifies this stage as the “Eye of Hypnosis,” though Roy has no documented use of Genjutsu. 7 54 |
Background
Roy was the third child of Marcus’s household on White Wax Island. After finding the white jade tomoe, he and his family experienced the command to “Make Uchiha great again.” His first dream showed him an unidentified Uchiha swordsman, the fan crest, hand seals, Fire Release, and the Sharingan. Roy retained the dream’s combat details with unusual clarity and passed the seals and swordsmanship rhythm to his siblings. 2 3 78
For the following year, Roy secretly trained chakra cultivation, swordsmanship, and Fire Release with Barlow and Mila. He improved rapidly in chakra control, while continuing to carry the dream’s image of the Uchiha crest and scarlet eyes. 4 8
Roy’s Sharingan awakened when pirates landed at Gravel Beach intending to loot White Wax Island and harm its people. Thinking of Marcus, Damian, Barlow, and Mila, Roy attacked alone and killed more than ten pirates. He later disposed of their bodies and boat, returning with their weapons, supplies, Beli, charts, and compass. 5 6
Marcus ultimately revealed that the family’s blood had activated the Uchiha bloodline through the tomoe. When the siblings departed White Wax Island, Marcus formally gave the family the Uchiha name and entrusted them with the ship he had built in secret. 8 17
Appearance
As a young adult, Roy is half a head shorter than Barlow but has a noticeably sturdier build, with visible muscle through his shoulders and arms. His hair is cut shorter than in childhood, and his light, quick movements reflect his restless combativeness. 38
- Carries a sword with a visibly battle-worn sheath. 38
- Commonly wears a sword with a white cord wrapped around its hilt. 100
- Activates blood-red Sharingan eyes with rotating tomoe. 8 54
- Initially used hand-carved white waxwood shuriken. 5 23
Personality
Roy is direct, impulsive, and intensely protective of his family. His first major battle came from the thought that pirates might kill his father and siblings; Barlow later identifies him as the family member best suited to protect them. 6 16
He can be overly trusting outside combat, as shown when he initially accepts an unknown agent’s offer in Orange Town without recognizing the trap. In battle, however, he is calm, observant, and decisive, capable of judging an opponent’s strengths even while pursuing them through a lethal situation. 21 70
Roy is competitive and physically expressive around Mila, regularly bickering and wrestling with her, yet their childhood sparring has made them exceptionally synchronized partners. 39 88 106
Marcus describes Roy as a “kind-hearted fool”: someone who repeatedly puts himself forward to shield the family and who drives recruits through harsh training because he believes weakness will get them killed. 78 126
Abilities & Skills
Sharingan
Roy’s Sharingan gives him a decisive perceptual advantage in combat.
- Movement prediction — Reads muscle tension, posture, breathing, weapon paths, and changes in balance before an opponent completes an attack. 5 23 105
- Trajectory analysis — Uses the Sharingan to identify attacks through poison mist and to distinguish areas of heavier and lighter miasma concentration. 70
- Activation control — Can return his eyes to their ordinary brown appearance after using the Sharingan. 7
- Copying and Genjutsu — The dream instruction attributes copying to the Two-Tomoe stage and hypnosis-based Genjutsu to the Three-Tomoe stage; Roy has not been shown using either application directly. 7 19
Fire Release
Roy channels chakra through hand seals and his throat to produce fire-based Ninjutsu.
- Fireball creation — Produced six separate fireballs during the voyage from White Wax Island. 19
- Great Fireball Technique — Expelled a fireball nearly three meters across as a display of Uchiha power before the Capone Family. 54
- Phoenix Sage Fire — Launches multiple fist-sized fireballs with enough concentrated heat to melt musket barrels. 105
- Anti-miasma application — Uses flames to disperse and scorch poison gas, reducing its concentration around him. 70
- Limit — Fire Release is physically demanding in the desert heat, prompting Mila to criticize its use during the Alabasta campaign. 105
Uchiha Style Swordsmanship
Roy practices the sword art inherited through the Uchiha dreams, combining predictive footwork, rhythm changes, switching-hand techniques, and chakra reinforcement.
- Uses chakra-enhanced blades and shuriken to strike with force beyond ordinary weapons. 23 127
- Employs a fast, forceful style that breaks shields, weapons, and enemy formations rather than prioritizing minimal injury. 127
- Fights effectively while outnumbered, using the Sharingan to evade simultaneous attacks and exploit openings. 22 23 105
- Forms a synchronized back-to-back fighting pair with Mila, built on years of sparring together. 106
Patrol Command and Training
Roy founded and leads the Uchiha Patrol, which protects Uchiha territory, maintains public order when necessary, and trains caravan guards. 48
- Led a ten-man patrol in the capture of more than a dozen armed Capone operatives in under three minutes. 48 49
- Trains recruits to standards above basic Marine physical requirements. 126
- Adapted the predictive footwork and switching rhythm of Uchiha Style Swordsmanship into a simplified system that ordinary security personnel can use without chakra. 126
- His elimination-based training doctrine keeps weaker recruits in logistics rather than frontline combat. 126
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Sword — Roy’s primary weapon; used for Uchiha Style Swordsmanship and close-quarters incapacitation. 38 49
- White waxwood shuriken — Hand-carved hidden weapons reinforced with chakra during his early operations. 5 23
- White jade tomoe — The object Roy found on White Wax Island; he carried it when the family first departed the island. 2 17
- Personal coat and combat gear — Keeps his sword at hand even when mobilizing on short notice. 100
Relationships
- Marcus Uchiha — Father. Roy found the tomoe that changed the family’s fate, and Marcus later recognized Roy as the family’s selfless fighter in his final letter. 2 17 78
- Damian Uchiha — Eldest brother. Damian worries over Roy’s tendency to fight alone, while Roy remains fiercely protective of Damian’s household and family. 7 52 91
- Barlow Uchiha — Elder brother and Uchiha Trading Company president. Barlow assigns Roy the role of family protector and relies on him as the company’s primary combat strength. 16 61
- Mila Uchiha — Sister and closest combat partner. Their constant arguments contrast with their seamless battlefield coordination and mutual reliance. 39 78 106
- Gwendoline “Gwen” Uchiha — Elder sister-in-law. Roy publicly identifies her as Damian’s fiancée when the Capone Family demands her return. 52
- Gray Uchiha — Nephew. Roy’s portrait is displayed at the training grounds as a swordsmanship reference for recruits. 85
