After this voice appeared, it immediately spread through the surroundings. Divine Ability transformations were hidden within its words, forcibly freezing the four wills locked in fierce battle. Their struggle ceased, and they were then divided and dismantled—
For a time, flames, wind and snow, cracks, and pitch-black deathly qi were forcibly separated. Guided by a will, they swiftly condensed into four human forms, stationed in the four directions, each emanating hostile intent toward the others.
However, though they had all taken human shape, once Qiu Yan extended his senses and touched upon them, he quickly distinguished that two of the four figures were their true bodies, bearing their origin and fundamental wills. The remaining two were almost External Incarnations, using some special method to have external forces bear their wills.
It seems that the Extreme Ice Plains and the Netherworld Sea each use icy snow qi and Netherworld death qi respectively as their fundamental bodies to bear their wills. In contrast, the person hidden within Flame Mountain, as well as the one controlling the Thread of Heaven crack and wielding spatial power, are interfering here in the forms of projections and incarnations.
This thought flashed through Qiu Yan's mind. He then turned around and looked behind him, only to see a youth in Daoist robes. The youth wore a warm smile and regarded Qiu Yan with an exceptionally amiable expression.
Behind this youth stood another eight figures, each with a different bearing. Some wore Daoist robes, some wore Confucian garments, and some even gave off faint Divine Radiance or demonic qi. They could not have been more different.
*These eight people seem to follow this young Daoist. He is truly strange beyond measure. There is an unfathomable aura about him; probing him through mere perception cannot reveal his realm. Yet
