This was a strange world, hazy and dim, as though Chaos had yet to be clarified, heaven and earth had yet to divide. Countless projections of living beings struggled, roamed, and passed through one trial after another within this world.
Among them were even many primitive Trial Beasts, formed from the gathering of countless adversities, drifting slowly about.
Yet whether they were projections or the many other figures, none possessed intelligence. But layer upon layer gathered together, arranged according to some Innate Realm rule, and ultimately formed a vast instinct.
This instinct could not yet be called a will.
It had neither feeling nor cognition, much less emotions or fluctuations. It was merely the most fundamental structure, born from the most fundamental laws of heaven, earth, the starry sky, and the Starry Universe—the direct manifestation of the Way of Profound Void.
Hazy and indistinct, as though unchanged since time immemorial.
But that unchanging state changed at this moment. As a trace of bursting blood-red gathered in, ferocious beasts, savage beasts, and evil beasts roared as they charged out from the void at the outermost edge. Each bared fangs and brandished claws, their forms endlessly shifting, yet all revealed savage expressions. Their faces were hideous, their bodies scarlet, every one brimming with killing intent, their roars shaking the heavens!
ROAR!!!
Amid those thunderous roars, the blood-red beasts surged forth like locusts crossing the land. Wherever they passed, the hazy, undefined color was ripped apart and devoured by their gaping jaws. Even the primitive Trial Beasts were directly surrounded, then pounced upon and torn limb from limb.
Mournful cries rang out one after another.
Thus, in the blink of an eye, all tranquility in this world vanished completely, replaced by countless roars and wails. It was like a slaughter, the weak prey
