Genosha was now so desolate it scarcely looked like a country. Daisy clicked her tongue in amazement. There was not a single building here; it was almost completely indistinguishable from wasteland. It was far too abnormal.
Magneto had built two railroads when he ruled the country. No one knew whether the old man had built them himself, but they had at least served as a window for communication with the outside world.
Now, everything was gone. This land that the Brotherhood of Mutants had forcibly seized from the Madagascar government had been completely wiped blank.
Only magic could have caused this situation.
Looking around, she spotted the only artificial structures on this land.
They were three black spires over twenty meters tall, arranged in a triangular formation.
The Black Queen stood in the middle with her eyes closed, resting. Black cyclones swirled around her, carrying the faint wails of countless souls.
A golden sarcophagus lay before her. Its lid bore prominent symbols of Egyptian gods. Daisy gave it a glance; its aura was somewhat similar to Hel in the Asgardian system. This, too, belonged to a god of death.
Judging by the shape and inscriptions, it should have been Osiris's sarcophagus. As for whether it was authentic or an imitation, she could not tell.
Daisy's arrival made the Black Queen open her eyes.
Though she had never discussed this with Namor, the instant Daisy saw the Black Queen, she had the same thought Namor probably had: this woman was really short.
Calling her 1.6 meters tall was flattering. Remove those towering heels, and what remained was downright tragic.
Saying the Black Queen only reached Daisy's navel would certainly have been nonsense. She was not that short; in her normal state, Daisy was only about forty centimeters taller.
An underdeveloped primitive!
