Without notifying anyone, Mr. Fantastic made his way to the Baxter Building.
Legally speaking, the building had nothing to do with him anymore now that he was insolvent.
But unlike Stark, who had been hastily arrested back then, Mr. Fantastic had turned himself in voluntarily and had plenty of time to prepare.
Invisible Woman Susan had also done a great deal to cover things up. To guard against any eventuality, he had left a great deal of important equipment in the building as a contingency prepared for Negative Space.
With his level of technology, fooling ordinary people was no challenge at all. The banks and creditors had repeatedly conducted thorough searches of the building. They knew the number of technological devices did not add up, yet they simply could not find them.
After twisting and turning through several routes, Mr. Fantastic used his ability to become a rubber man and squeezed through the crack in a side entrance.
Things had changed, though the building's layout had not changed much. Seeing his home become someone else's territory still made him a little sad, to be honest.

Not long after entering the building, Mr. Fantastic saw banners hanging everywhere, along with young men and women who did not look very old.
So his building had been rented out after all?
Mr. Fantastic had always been detached. He was completely different from Stark, who gathered piles of information on enemies and friends every day, analyzed this and guarded against that, until he practically gave himself an anxiety disorder. Mr. Fantastic was far more single-minded. He only cared about science and was almost indifferent to everything else.
A typical man content with his wife, children, and
