"Miss, I can't hold on much longer!" Scream stubbornly endured the relentless bombardment of three hundred Grand Magi. No matter how high her magic resistance was, her heart still trembled. She could sense danger from every spell cast here; the warning system in her mind was practically exploding!
"You have to hold on. Don't worry, I'm confident." Daisy did not care in the slightest. After two feints, she suddenly accelerated and charged out from the side, cutting down that old dean or whatever with a single halberd strike. Perhaps he had students everywhere and enjoyed the adoration of every mage in this world, but what did that have to do with her?
This old bastard was thick-skinned and black-hearted. Not only was he powerful, but he also carried great prestige. He had been organizing the attacks all along, annoying Daisy to no end. There had even been two identical old men earlier. She had no idea which was the real body and which had been pulled in from the timeline, but she had chopped them both to death anyway!
Daisy looked rather pleased with herself. With a sweeping slash of her halberd, she split a dwarf-like mage in half from head to toe. The enemy seized upon this not-quite-opening. Two mages used a dazzling array of spells as cover, and when she turned to defend herself, Adam stabbed her beneath the ribs with his staff.
The strike was fast and vicious. Had she not retreated several meters at the crucial moment, the Soul Staff would have nearly pierced straight through her.
Daisy touched the wound. It was a bloody hole as thick as a finger. She was injured. If the previous spells had only counted as flesh wounds, then this blow had damaged her very foundation.
Adam moved extremely quickly.
