After running for who knew how long, Quicksilver stopped in exhaustion. The blood-red mist behind him had been completely worn away, leaving only intermittent words: "...the original body... won't let you go..."
"This guy should be dead, right?" Quicksilver had no idea that he had inadvertently helped his sister and brother-in-law solve a huge problem. He had completely absorbed the energy from Chthon's avatar, and his running speed had become unbelievably fast.
Now came the problem: how was he supposed to get out?
And... where had he run to?
Before this, he had been in a city very similar to New York. Every plant and tree around him had felt familiar, and he had even seen Captain America, Falcon, and others helping civilians. But now, he had clearly left New York—perhaps even Earth itself.
