Matthew Malloy—someone who had never existed before and had suddenly appeared—was not someone Daisy thought she could spot any flaws in. The Marvel world would not create a paper-thin character just to fool her. She was not that important.
This person definitely existed now, and every aspect of him was utterly real. There would be no problems whatsoever.
Considering that this Matthew was far stronger than the old professor, even if telepathy was not his specialty, at his level, no matter how weak his mental power was, it could not be that weak. Using the weak to trap the strong was unrealistic. They had failed to trap Black Phoenix back then, and they would not be able to trap this Omega-level mutant today.
At the end of the file, the old professor had written a small line of text. He believed there was currently no way to restrain Matthew Malloy. The best solution was to go back along the timeline, break up his parents, and prevent him from ever being born...
It had to be said that the old professor had quite an imagination, and it seemed he had actually pulled it off in the original timeline.
Jean saw that small line as well.
"This method..." Deep down, Jean did not approve of it. This Matthew Malloy was not an animal, much less some deranged murderous demon. He was an ordinary person who had already lived in this world for over twenty years, nearly thirty. Just because you thought he was a threat, you wanted to erase him at the source? Was that not too cruel?
And if they could do this to Matthew today, would they use the same method against someone else tomorrow?
The rabbit dies, and the fox grieves. Jean did not like this approach.
