For the next three days, Daisy secretly investigated the Yashida family's flow of funds. Materials could be tampered with and used as cover, but numbers could not. There was no hiding the money in bank accounts.
With the global economy integrated, spending records were crystal clear. Daisy doubted Old Man Yashida would withdraw all the money and have Hydra agents go shopping with sacks in hand.
She stayed indoors for three days, selectively filtering the data and conducting big-data analysis. She did indeed uncover many suspicious points.
Her analysis showed that all the supplies had been shipped into South America. As for any further information, she could not find it.
The timeframe stretched over thirty years, and the supplies transported out amounted to an astronomical figure. Daisy could not determine whether it was related to Hydra, but it was definitely something major. She had to notify Director Fury.
Whether S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Tokyo branch had Hydra operatives embedded within it, she suspected it did. Fortunately, she had Nick Fury's secret contact information.
The encrypted call connected quickly. His tone was grave. "What is it?"
Daisy told him about the information she had verified.
"Why didn't you report this through S.H.I.E.L.D.'s local contact point?" Nick Fury asked curiously.
"I don't trust them."
"...Good. Suspect everything. You have the potential to become the King of Agents." Director Fury's words left her somewhat confused. How had she suddenly become the King of Agents? That title was handed out pretty freely, wasn't it?
"Send me the information. I'll take a look."
Daisy connected to the network and copied the files to Nick Fury.
Half an hour later, the phone rang again.
"Tell me what you think."
"They require a huge amount of supplies. In my opinion, there is only one explanation: this is a secret base.
