Thunderbird, who was mainly responsible for mutant relief, submitted a work report to Director Daisy before leaving work at the end of the week. Mockingbird, who oversaw the superpowered individual point system, submitted one as well. Baldy, who assigned various missions to superpowered individuals, also wrote a report. Finally, Coulson, the former agent still on staff, submitted the latest report on campus violence.
Together, the reports stood half a person tall, and the four of them had listed a great many current problems in detail.
For once, Director Daisy worked overtime. Without using Super Vision or super speed, she flipped through their reports page by page.
There were many issues exposed. She needed to take notes as she read, writing down improvements whenever she had an idea and setting the matter aside for the time being whenever she did not.
The problem with ordinary superpowered individuals was getting rid of their wariness. As long as both sides established a foundation of mutual trust, the follow-up work would not be difficult. After all, the reason they wore masks was because they still had families, friends, and jobs. They were supporters of the current social order.
The mutant issue was still the real headache.
Thunderbird had placed the file of a female mutant codenamed Blink on the very first page. Because of debt, the young woman had been unable to get by in the ancient Eastern country, so she crossed the ocean to the United States. Now, she was on the verge of living on welfare.
Miss Blink had no other skills. Aside from making a couple of pitiful whimpers, she could only open portals. Teleportation was supposed to be a practical ability; both Director Daisy and Tetanus among the Inhumans had put it to excellent use.
But Miss Blink could currently
