Cyclops's fate had been deliberately bent back just as it was about to change.

Elsewhere, Daisy had no idea she had caused someone trouble, or made someone feel as though he had been cheated on.

The instant Cable tore open the passage, she sensed something strange. But it was different from when Red Skull had fallen out last time. It felt very raw, like something forcibly squeezed out of a toothpaste tube. It came quickly and vanished just as fast. Before she could examine it closely, the strange sensation disappeared without a trace.

"What was that?" Daisy was driving toward New York. She slowed down and focused on the change.

She could not tell whether it was good or bad. Had Red Skull returned again?

Still confused, Daisy entered Skye Tower, took two vials of Leech Potion from Dr. Lizard's laboratory, then found Captain America downstairs chatting with Sharon Carter.

Instead of his usual stern expression, Captain America was leaning casually against the table and telling jokes. He actually resembled Human Torch a little.

Agent Sharon Carter's identity had been exposed during the Skrull invasion. After Daisy became Director, she had also revoked Director Fury's surveillance order on Captain America. With that obstacle gone, Sharon Carter and Captain America had grown closer and closer.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you two, but I need to borrow Steve for a while." Daisy apologized to her good friend. Now that Sharon had the Director backing her, no one dared give her trouble anymore. Though curious about their mission, she wisely did not ask. She excused herself first, while Daisy pulled Captain America toward Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

She figured that if her words were not persuasive enough, Captain America might have better luck.

The two drove to Xavier's School. Director
