She planned to release only ten doses a week. On one hand, it emphasized how precious the medicine was; on the other, it was like slowly boiling the frog, giving Mutants time to gradually accept it.
"Thank you, thank you all." Mrs. Morris's hands were a little dirty, with plenty of black grime under her nails, but when she held out her hand, Daisy clasped it tightly without the slightest hesitation.
Looking at Daisy's jade-like fingers, Mrs. Morris felt a little intimidated. She had never known what Daisy actually did. A commander from the Battle of New York was too far removed from her world, and instinctively, she tried to pull her hand back.
"I came from a poor family too, so don't worry. If you want to go to church next, we can arrange that for you. If you want to learn some skills, you can register with that Mutant girl over there with the crescent-shaped marking on her face. Even if you can't find a job right away, that's fine. Daisy spoke gently with each of them for a few words. She encouraged those who wanted to learn skills and offered a bit of tuition, while helping those who wanted to go home contact their families. The ten people were quickly attended to. Though there was an element of showmanship to it, most of what she said was sincere.
Blink, who had originally held some reservations about S.H.I.E.L.D., developed a measure of approval for their work after Director Daisy displayed such an approachable manner.
Where there were rewards, there had to be punishments. Some people simply did not know their limits. Relying
