Daisy vs. Adam Warlock

Not fighting back when attacked was not Adam's style. He pointed his staff at Daisy and gave it a light tap.

The spell was pale yellow in Adam's hand, but once it traveled five meters from his body, it vanished without a trace. No method could detect it.

"A curse-type spell?!" Daisy was slightly surprised. She leaped into the air and used the Eternals' abilities to set up an energy barrier before herself. Still not feeling safe enough, she added another layer of solidified golden energy.

There was no projectile, no flight path, and even less of a dazzling visual effect. What Adam had used was a targeted spell akin to a curse.

Without any warning, Daisy felt an intense pain deep inside her body, a thousand times worse than her period cramps. Her super senses gave her far greater control over her body than an ordinary person, yet that only made the pain feel ten times worse.

It was as if someone inside her soul were dragging a dull blade across her body, sawing and cutting. She repeatedly used her mental power to suppress it, barely forcing down that unbearable tearing pain.

It hurt like hell.

To prepare for today's duel, she had practiced with Wanda twice. She had asked the little witch to treat her as an enemy and use whatever spells she had.

Soul magic and dark magic differed somewhat, but the pain they inflicted on the body and soul was about the same.

Neither Adam nor Wanda was an exceptionally skilled mage, but one possessed the Soul Stone while the other had the Darkhold. They seemed roughly comparable, so Daisy could completely apply her experience fighting Wanda here.

That meant a rapid assault! Overwhelm the opponent with a storm of attacks and knock their spells back.
