Daisy's Resolve

Though her body could maintain an internal cycle, though she could survive in a vacuum, Daisy still felt as if she could not breathe. The immense pressure nearly suffocated her. This was a possibility she had done everything she could to avoid, to flee from, but now she had been backed into a corner and had to make a decision.

"Are you all right?" Noticing the change in her expression, Hill disregarded any need for propriety and asked with concern.

"I love you." She turned to Wanda again. "I love you too. I love all of you. Tony took responsibility for his part. It's time I took responsibility for mine."

Facing the gazes of everyone in the conference room, Daisy offered no further explanation. Her eyes lingered on Hill and Wanda for a moment each. "I'll deal with Ultron. I can deal with Ultron."

She arranged for the Avengers to go out and help maintain public order, while S.H.I.E.L.D. agents kept a close watch on military forces stationed around the world. She asked those with the ability to fly to keep an eye out for any nuclear bombs that had slipped through the net.

After assigning everyone their tasks, Daisy rose and headed for the door. She was still the same person, but after making up her mind and unlocking the shackles on her heart, her entire bearing had changed.
