Although he had not been tried, for various reasons—both to guard him and protect him—Stark was treated as a major criminal and locked away in the deepest part of the prison.
No longer dressed in suits and ties, designer shirts, and expensive watches, he wore an orange prison uniform and cloth shoes. When Daisy entered the cell block, Stark was lying on his bed, staring blankly into the pitch-black room.
She had no intention of breaking the lock. Stark had turned himself in voluntarily, and breaking the lock would be hard to explain later. Perhaps that lock was also his last psychological line of defense.
Leaning against the doorway, she greeted him. "Things seem pretty good. Want me to have someone bring you a few books?"
Stark glanced sideways in her direction. The prison lights had been out for a while, and without Super Vision, he could not see anyone in such darkness. But he recognized her voice. "Oh, it's you. Can the Eternals walk through walls too?"
Daisy snorted. "Don't mention the Eternals to me. That progenitor of the Eternals probably dreams of killing me now."
Stark neither confirmed nor denied it. "Did you come here for refuge too? Want to sit in prison with me? The women's prison is in another building. I know a lawyer—you can have him handle the paperwork for you."
Daisy chuckled. "A Level Five prison on Knowhere might hold me. This place certainly can't."
Thinking of her own problem, her expression turned serious. "Tony, if you had a chance right now to solve Ultron once and for all, would you do it?"
Stark was stunned for a moment, then shook his head with a laugh. "Do you not know why I created Ultron in the first place? I wanted to solve every problem
