Daisy glanced at Pepper's injuries. A large section of her intestines seemed to be missing, her spleen was badly damaged, and blood kept seeping through the bandages.
The injuries were serious, but not fatal. To prepare for this battle, she had gathered plenty of medical resources and pulled in the top specialists from major hospitals. This was not volunteer work—she was paying them. Yet judging by Pepper's condition, someone had only disinfected and stitched her up, and not even very well. Someone was clearly neglecting their duties.
After thinking it over, she curiously looked at the person in charge of the medical station. "Can Dr. Zhao's nanotechnology not be used for this kind of treatment?"
The person in charge was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and had no intention of hiding anything. "Dr. Helen Zhao refused to treat Miss Potts. She believes that those who do bad things should pay the price."
Daisy curled her lip, barely stopping herself from blurting out a curse starting with C. Those Koreans were always like this. Dr. Helen Zhao's Life Cradle technology had received Stark's investment, yet she turned on them faster than flipping a page.
But this was not the time to seek justice for them. The allied forces generally had no favorable impression of Stark or Pepper. Ordinary agents aside, even Hydra was deeply dissatisfied. We're supposed to rule the world. If you sweep the Earth with Nuclear bombs, what the hell are we supposed to rule?
Daisy had no time to whitewash Stark, but she would not watch Pepper die in agony either.
She gave her an injection of nutrient solution, then aimed her left hand at the wound. The molecular structures of countless cells appeared before her eyes. A gentle stimulation of energy promoted cellular growth, then she merely had to
