"Negative Space..." The Thing muttered from afar, seemingly having overheard their conversation. His voice was very low, but Daisy heard it.
She looked at Norman Osborn, then at Mr. Fantastic. Could these two be in cahoots? Her gaze kept shifting between their faces, waiting to see who could give her an answer.
"It was me. I was the one who launched a probe over there..." Under Norman Osborn's murderous glare, Mr. Fantastic stepped forward and admitted his mistake.
The Invisible Woman looked crestfallen. The Human Torch extinguished his flames and sat off to the side. The Thing wanted to say a few words in Mr. Fantastic's defense, but every time he opened his mouth, he had no idea what to say.
Daisy still did not quite understand. "Then why does Galactus think this has something to do with Mr. Osborn? What kind of backroom deal do you have?"
Her preconceived notions had always made Daisy think Norman Osborn was no good. It was perfectly normal for someone like him to hire scientists for unconventional research, and that ingrained mindset had led her into a dead end.
Before Mr. Fantastic could speak, Norman Osborn was already roaring himself hoarse. "I'll say it again: this has nothing to do with me. Nothing at all, from beginning to end!! You self-righteous superheroes are all shit! Sons of bitches! Every last one of—" He had thrown all caution to the wind, pointing at everyone and unleashing a barrage of insults.
"Say that again if you've got the guts. Do you think I wouldn't dare kill you?" Daisy had never been cursed out to her face like that before, at least not in recent years. Her face turned icy, and the surrounding air seemed to drop several degrees in an instant. The killing intent in
