Fifteen minutes later, Daisy met Proxima Midnight and Thanos, clad in full armor and wearing a helmet, at an abandoned mine on Xandar.
"I've heard so much about you, Thanos." Daisy had come fully armed as well. She had made her decision in just one minute, but spent fourteen minutes getting herself into fighting condition.
Looking at Thanos's iconic purple-chin, her tone remained calm, though she was already prepared for battle.
"I am not your enemy. At least, not today." Thanos's voice was low and powerful, like a massive current hidden in the deep sea. It sounded ordinary at first, but was in fact immensely compelling.
Daisy did not believe him. Celestials would not lie, but Thanos would. No flesh-and-blood creature was incapable of lying.
She carefully assessed Thanos's physical condition. He was not at his peak. Placing the curse of immortality upon Deadpool had been a heavy burden on him, and the Annihilation Insectoid Race's earlier breach of cosmic space had only worsened his injuries.
Thanos was in poor condition. Of course, after fighting bitterly for a full day and night, Daisy was not unscathed either.
"What did you want with me? Are you here to see Gamora? Or Mentor?" Daisy asked casually.
Thanos gave her a casual glance, and Daisy glared right back at him.
"You are not a pure Titan race. Your bloodline was acquired later," Thanos stated expressionlessly.
Daisy did not back down. "Neither are you. You added plenty of messy things to that body of yours. Titan is ancient history now. No one cares anymore. State your purpose, Thanos."
She saw through him at a glance. Like his father, Mentor A'lars, Thanos might not originally have been a combat-oriented Titan.
The Titan race, or the Eternals, were a people with exceptionally graceful, streamlined physiques and
