Stalemate (Bonus Chapter for Alliance Leader Tian Yi Wu Qing Wo You Qing, and Happy Holiday Again to All the Beautiful Ladies!)
Worried that Hela might have tampered with it, Daisy did not absorb it directly. Instead, she let the small ball of light hover before her and observed it quietly for a while.
There was very little energy. Drawn from the hand bone, it was only about the size of a jellybean. It looked murky, unlike the silver beam of light she had created when making the White Light Program. This energy was somewhat blackened and dim, with problems in both quality and composition.
"It wasn't me who tampered with it. It was like this already," Hela hurriedly explained. She had wanted to tamper with it, but even after ruining two fingers, she had failed to add her magic to it.
Daisy looked up at her. "I believe you."
Hela's face remained calm as she silently cursed her for an idiot, but Daisy's next sentence infuriated her. "Your magic simply isn't strong enough to alter this power..."
Though this power was somewhat impure, its essence was Star Mark power.
This was Star Mark power left behind by a Multiversal Tier powerhouse. How could it be so easily tampered with? The higher the level of something, the purer it was. Adding even a trace of something external would show on the surface. Tampering with such things without being noticed was actually very difficult.
No one was blind. The originally silvery-white energy was now utterly murky. To say there was no problem with it? Who would believe that?
There were many possible causes for these impurities. Perhaps it had lain dormant for too long, perhaps the Star Brand had contained impurities from the start, or perhaps it had been contaminated by something and gradually accumulated them over time.
The murky energy had been entwined with the Star Mark power for a long time.
