Background / History

Spirit Hall's Holy Maiden

Qian Xunji brought Bibi Dong into Spirit Hall at six years old because of her exceptional cultivation talent. By the confrontation over her planned elopement, she had spent twelve years under his tutelage and had known Yu Xiaogang for two years 8 10.

Yu Xiaogang cultivated her affection through outings, including a visit to Coconut Grove City's lanterns, and their shared survival of Spirit Hall's failed Sea God Island expedition. Bibi Dong subsequently opened restricted library archives to him and disclosed confidential information about Spirit Hall's elders, the Angel God Armor, and Qian Xunyi's evolved Martial Soul 6. Her Holy Maiden Token also enabled him to publish Ten Core Competencies of Martial Souls through Spirit Hall's channels 9.

Yu Xiaogang encouraged her to believe that Qian Xunji valued her only as a tool. When he proposed eloping to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect, she instead asked her teacher for his blessing. Qian Xunji refused; after she declared her intention to leave Spirit Hall, he knocked her unconscious and carried her into a secret chamber 7 10.

Qian Renxue's Birth and Slaughter City

Qian Xunji's actions left Bibi Dong hating him. After giving birth to their daughter, Qian Renxue, she regained her freedom and departed for Slaughter City without looking at the child 16.

There, she completed the slaughter trials and became the Rakshasa God's inheritor. Yu Xiaogang intercepted her on her return and warned her not to hunt the four Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts at the Lake of Life, threatening that they would become enemies if she did. His warning preserved her hope of reconciliation and influenced her later Soul Ring choices 21 26 70.

Revenge Against Qian Xunji

When Qian Xunji returned injured from fighting Tang Hao, Bibi Dong pretended to be an attentive disciple and prospective wife. Once he lowered his guard, she poisoned, tortured, and consumed him, reaching level 90 and completing her first Rakshasa trial 48.

She attributed his death to Tang Hao's injuries and subsequent over-cultivation. Qian Daoliu recognized the Spider Empress Venom and puncture wounds as evidence against her story, but a divine aura warned him against harming her. He publicly accepted the cover-up 49.

Qian Xunyi confronted her after the funeral and nearly killed her despite the Rakshasa remnant soul's protection. Qian Daoliu intervened. Rather than inherit the papacy, Bibi Dong lost her Holy Maiden position and became a Hall Guard Elder under the new Pope, Qian Xunyi 50 51.

Service Under Qian Xunyi

The Rakshasa Secret Realm's location inside Spirit Hall prevented Bibi Dong from simply abandoning the institution while pursuing godhood. Qian Xunyi further controlled her by threatening Yu Xiaogang, compelling her to undertake dangerous missions and exhausting work 51 118.

During the Clear Sky Sect campaign, she poisoned its members and helped slaughter those at its mountain gate. Her reward was not cultivation resources but permission for Yu Xiaogang to remain alive for five more years. When she protested her exclusion from the elders' rewards, Qian Xunyi used fresh threats against Yu Xiaogang to force her back to work 81 83 84.

He later sent her to Sea God Island with an ultimatum demanding that its believers abandon the Sea God and submit to the Angel God. Bo Saixi imprisoned her as a bargaining chip. During the invasion, Qian Xunyi's implanted feather broke the seal on her Soul Power, allowing her to destroy her cell, kill the guards, and escape 157 164 176.

In the continental war, Bibi Dong openly hunted Star Luo generals, leaving playing cards on their bodies to identify targets. A clone subdued Emperor Dai Tianfeng while she carried out the operation 215. During Qian Xunyi's later absence, even routine government work and the elders' personal chores fell to her 299.

The Eight-Spider Lance and Yu Xiaogang

Qian Xunyi ordered Bibi Dong to seize Tang San's Eight-Spider Lance, enforcing the mission through threats against Yu Xiaogang. She defeated Zhao Wuji, restrained Tang San with spider silk, and tore the External Soul Bone from his back 337 338.

She initially intended to keep the bone unfused so that she could return it if Yu Xiaogang demanded it. Qian Xunyi instead forced her to absorb it before the elders. When Yu Xiaogang arrived, he accused her of betraying his beloved disciple and questioned whether she loved him, leaving her apologetic and distressed 342 343.

By his next visit, her affection had turned into open hatred. She later pretended to support his demand to reclaim the evolved Luo Sanpao while privately intending to make him suffer. After he left, she ordered servants to discard everything he had touched 370 377.

Godhood and the Papacy

Bibi Dong completed the Rakshasa Nine Trials and emerged as a god determined to kill Qian Xunyi, seize Spirit Hall, and gain unrestricted freedom to torment Yu Xiaogang. Her attack failed immediately: Qian Xunyi caught the Rakshasa Demon Scythe and destroyed her body with a punch 396 397.

After regenerating, she discovered that his followers were already gods, including several God Kings. Seventeen genuine Super Divine Artifacts demonstrated how thoroughly outmatched she remained. She knelt and threatened self-destruction unless Qian Xunyi promised to continue making Yu Xiaogang suffer; he spared her because her godhood still made her useful 397.

Qian Xunyi subsequently moved his divine elders to the Spirit Holy Land and publicly appointed Bibi Dong as the new Pope, while retaining control from behind the scenes 398. Yu Xiaogang later helped organize an opposing Continental Allied Army, yet again approached her as a potential route to the God Realm. She outwardly promised to take him there after Tang San's elimination, then vomited after he departed 403 405.

She is nevertheless cautious and patient when pursuing power. She tracks the Death Spider Emperor for over a month before attacking its weakness, conceals her intentions while caring for Qian Xunji, and suppresses her anger when stronger opponents make retaliation impractical 48 83 136.

Her ambition survives repeated humiliation. She accepts resources even from the Angel Clan, which she regards as an enemy, and treats cultivation and godhood as the means to overturn her subordination 83 118 238. Her fixation on Yu Xiaogang eventually changes from devotion into disgust and a determination to inflict prolonged revenge 377 385 397.
