Xiao Yao escorted Xiao Yan to the Imperial Capital and watched him face Nalan Yanran at the Misty Cloud Sect. After Xiao Yan won the duel, Yun Leng accused him of crimes and the sect trapped him behind a barrier as its elders prepared another formation.

• Xiao Yao accepted Xun Er’s Emperor Seal Skill scroll, prepared pills, and set out from the Inner Academy with Qing Lin, Zi Yan, and Zi Lin while Xun Er stayed behind.
• Xiao Yao reunited with Xiao Yan in the Imperial Capital, where Yao Lao emerged and Medusa challenged Xiao Yao before he overwhelmed her with his Soul Force.
• Xiao Yao concealed his group near the Misty Cloud Sect and used the Astral Flute to show the assembled crowd an illusion of the Desolate Heavenly Emperor as Xiao Yan arrived for the Three-Year Pact.
• Xiao Yan and Nalan Yanran fought, and Xiao Yan defeated her with his fused flame lotus after she used her strongest technique.
• Nalan Yanran offered to become Xiao Yan’s maidservant because she had lost, but Xiao Yan rejected the offer and left with her following him.
• Yun Leng accused Xiao Yan of involvement in deaths and destruction, then ordered the Law Enforcement Team and three Dou Wang elders to stop him from leaving.
• Xiao Yan shattered the elders’ barrier, but Yun Leng and the Misty Cloud Sect’s forces continued to attack as Hai Bo Dong defended him.

Xiao Yao left the Misty Cloud Sect with Yun Yun and Xiao Yan, but the Soul Hall targeted the Xiao Clan for its Ancient Jade. After rescuing his family and storing them in his Small World, Xiao Yao faced two Dou Zuns and a large Soul Hall force alone.

• Xiao Yao defeated Yun Shan, then left the Misty Cloud Sect with Yun Yun, Xiao Yan, and Nalan Yanran.
• Xiao Yao traded pills for rare ingredients and formation materials at the Spirit Medicine Hall as Yun Shan accepted the Soul Hall’s mission to seize the Xiao Clan’s jade fragment.
• Yun Leng and three elders attacked the Xiao Clan, but Xiao Zhan used a Dou Emperor Puppet to drive them back until Iron Protector and Xuan Protector arrived.
• The Soul Hall protectors destroyed the Xiao Clan’s puppets and trapped the clan inside Wutan City, but Xiao Yao arrived and killed Yun Leng.
• Xiao Yao burned away the Soul Hall’s Ten Thousand Souls Devouring Spirit Array, leaving Xuan Protector injured and prompting the arrival of Venerable Mu Gu, Venerable Qing Hai, and more than twenty Dou Zongs.
• Xiao Yao moved Xiao Zhan, the elders, and the Xiao Clan into his Small World, then stored Xiao Yan and the others in his Soul Storage Ring before facing the Soul Hall group alone.

Xiao Yao fought off the Soul Hall’s forces, broke through to Dou Zun during a deadly tribulation, and killed the Heavenly Venerables who attacked him. Afterward, he prepared to move the Xiao Clan and confronted Yun Yun over the Misty Cloud Sect’s responsibility for Yun Leng’s crimes, leaving her to choose whom he would spare.

• Xiao Yao revealed his strength, defeated the Soul Hall Protectors, and refused the Heavenly Venerables’ offer to spare the Xiao Clan in exchange for its Ancient Jade Fragments.
• Mu Gu and the Soul Hall Venerables bound Xiao Yao with Lifebound Soul Locks, but Xiao Yao broke free and triggered a hidden formation that summoned Tribulation Lightning.
• Xiao Yao survived successive waves of Tribulation Lightning, absorbed their energy, and killed the Ninth and Eighth Heavenly Venerables.
• Xiao Yao devoured the final tribulation’s energy and the attacks of the Fifth and Sixth Heavenly Venerables, broke through to Five-Star Dou Zun, and killed the remaining Heavenly Venerables who fought him.
• Xiao Yao released the Xiao Clan from the Small World, announced their move to the Imperial Capital, and reunited Zi Lin with her mother.
• Yun Yun apologized for the Misty Cloud Sect, while Nalan Yanran asked Xiao Yan to persuade Xiao Yao to spare the sect and Xiao Yan refused to interfere.
• Xiao Yao rejected Yun Yun’s apology and demanded that she choose whether he would spare the Misty Cloud Sect’s disciples or Yun Shan.

Xiao Yao drove the Soul Hall from the Xiao Clan’s affairs and helped the clan resettle in the Imperial Capital while confronting Yun Shan and Wu Protector at the Misty Cloud Sect. As he gathered resources and began rebuilding the clan, he revealed parts of his past and prepared to restore Yao Lao and Skyfire Venerable to bodies.

• Xiao Yao spared the Misty Cloud Sect’s young disciples, condemned Yun Shan’s ties to the Soul Hall, and led the Xiao Clan toward the Imperial Capital aboard their flying beasts.
• Xiao Yao secured land and construction support from Jia Xing Tian, then created two clones who stayed with the Xiao Clan while he traveled to the Tagore Desert.
• Xiao Yao reunited with Xiao Ding and Xiao Li, brought their Desert Iron Mercenary Group back to the clan, and learned that the Soul Hall had destroyed the Xiao Clan’s Wutan City residence.
• Xiao Yao confronted Yun Shan and Wu Protector at the Misty Cloud Sect, but Wu Protector devoured Yun Shan’s soul and killed the sect’s elders before Xiao Yao subdued and sealed him.
• Xiao Yao promised to spare the Misty Cloud Sect’s disciples and ordered them to leave, then returned to the Imperial Capital as news of his actions spread among the great clans.
• At the Imperial Family’s banquet, Xiao Yao enlisted Yao Yue and Ya Fei to help build the Xiao Clan’s resources, then told Xiao Yan and Yao Lao about the Ancient God Jade and his memories from a previous life.
• Yao Lao destroyed Han Feng’s soul, chose the Fifth Venerable’s body as a future vessel, and agreed with Xiao Yan to wait until Xiao Yao could refine the required Eighth-Grade pill.
• Xiao Yao gave Skyfire Venerable Yun Shan’s body as a temporary vessel, sent Xiao Ding resources to sell, and refined two emerald-green pills at Weiyang Palace.
