Background / History

In the original timeline, Lin Yuan was a 22-year-old vocational-college graduate from Shu Capital who worked as a food delivery rider while his parents operated a small convenience store. After the Spiritual Energy Revival, he cultivated alone every night with only the publicly released Basic Breathing Technique and no significant resources. 3 4

Five years into that timeline, he defended an evacuation route during the Shu Capital Beast Tide. Although only a Peak Second-Tier martial artist, he held the passage for three hours, killed three Third-Tier Ferocious Beasts and hundreds of Second-Tier beasts, and enabled more than 100,000 civilians to escape. He died after his body was shattered and he was swallowed by the pursuing horde. 3

Su Qingxue's rebirth changed that outcome. Based on her account, the military located Lin Yuan before the Spiritual Energy Revival, recruited him for a top-secret program, and relocated his family under military protection.
