Arc 9The Elegia Catastrophe
Sephiroth consolidated his power in Wano while relocating villagers and drawing closer to Yamato and Kozuki Hiyori. He saved Uta during the Elegia disaster, took responsibility for her, and obtained the Op-Op Fruit as Yamato prepared to challenge Kaido again.
- Kurozumi Orochi offered Sephiroth control of Wano’s underworld if he pledged allegiance, and Sephiroth accepted before building the Miyamoto Family into a powerful force.
- After Sengoku transferred him to G-5, Sephiroth took Kuina with him, trained his new unit, and funded Dragon’s hydroelectric project in exchange for support for Umbrella Corporation.
- Sephiroth secretly evacuated residents from Hyakusen Village to Angel Island, then burned the empty village to make it appear that he had obeyed Kurozumi Orochi’s order.
- At Onigashima, Sephiroth met Yamato, who called herself Kozuki Oden, and shared stories that made her question the journal’s heroic account of Oden.
- Sephiroth accepted Kozuki Hiyori as a geisha and arranged for Black Maria to train her.
- When the Demon King of Song attacked Elegia, Sephiroth helped Shanks reach Uta, replenished her stamina, and hypnotized her into stopping the creature.
- Sephiroth took Uta into his care and concealed the truth about the disaster, while Rosinante and Sengoku pursued the missing Op-Op Fruit and Doflamingo fled Minion Island.
- Sephiroth considered the Op-Op Fruit’s Perennial Youth Operation and treated Yamato’s injuries after she hid from Kaido, but she remained determined to challenge him again.
