Chapter Summaries

Sephiroth faced Bullet, Teach, Doflamingo, and the Marines’ enemies as Saint Jaygarcia Saturn arrived with the Five Elders’ forces and unveiled ten Kaido Seraphim. Sephiroth countered by revealing his own force of more than fifty Seraphim, leaving the confrontation poised for battle.

• Sephiroth eyed Pato’s Devil Fruit while assessing the pirates and their allies against the Marines and Shichibukai.
• Sixteen masked figures arrived, and Saint Jaygarcia Saturn revealed himself as one of the supposedly dead Five Elders.
• Saint Saturn accused Sephiroth of destroying Mariejois and abolishing the Celestial Dragons’ privileges, while Teach urged Doflamingo to focus on defeating Sephiroth.
• Saint Saturn unveiled ten Seraphim modeled on Kaido, created using Kaido’s, King’s, and the Azure Dragon Fruit’s Lineage Factors.
• Sephiroth opened his Personal Space and revealed more than fifty Seraphim modeled on Hawkeye, Jinbe, Luffy, Garp, and Kuma.

The Marine and Umbrella forces held back outside the barrier and prepared to support the battle from nearby.

• Kuma returned to Delta Island, learned Saint Saturn had caused the Sapphire Scales through experiments on Ginny, and attacked him with Ursus Shock.
• Sephiroth ordered the awakened Seraphim to attack every non-friendly target except Ace and Marco, then enclosed Delta Island in a spatial barrier.
• Saint Saturn tried to teleport away but discovered the barrier confined him to the island.
• Gion ordered the Marine fleets to surround Delta Island and wait for the barrier to break before landing.
• Marigold lost her ability to sense Delta Island, and Hancock ordered the Umbrella fleet to move closer and stand by to provide support.

Delta Island became a sealed battlefield as Blackbeard, Ace, Marco, Burgess, Hawkeye, Bullet, Luffy, and Doflamingo fought amid the Seraphims’ attacks. The trapped pirates faced death with the barrier blocking escape and Marine warships surrounding the island.

• Blackbeard tried to use his Dark-Dark Fruit to pull Sephiroth through the barrier, but Ace interrupted him and challenged him to a decisive fight.
• Marco attacked Burgess, who had taken Jozu’s diamond ability, and blasted him into a hill with a Phoenix Brand shockwave.
• Hawkeye and Bullet exchanged sword strikes as Hawkeye explained why he had become a Shichibukai.
• Luffy entered Gear Fourth and punched Doflamingo into the ground with a Gum-Gum King Kong Gun.
• The Seraphims and the island’s powerful fighters killed pirates caught in the fighting, while survivors found the barrier and Marine blockade prevented escape.

Sephiroth battled Imu while Kuma attacked Saint Saturn, but neither fight reached a conclusion. As Sephiroth sent Imu crashing into the stands, Red-Haired Shanks ambushed him from behind and blasted him into the air.

• Imu transformed into a colossal dragon and attacked Sephiroth with fire, but Sephiroth split the blast and wounded him with Exploding Flame Rend.
• Kuma took advantage of Saint Saturn’s separation from the others, knocked him down, and launched him into a building with an Ursus Shock.
• Saint Saturn transformed into a horned, spider-legged form, and Kuma confronted him among the ruins, vowing to kill him.
• Imu changed into a winged dragonman and attacked Sephiroth, who blocked his blows before slashing his chest and sending him into the spectator stands.
• Red-Haired Shanks appeared behind Sephiroth and struck him with God Avoidance, sending him flying while he spat blood.

Redfield used his illusions to ambush Sephiroth with copies of legendary pirates, nearly defeating him and provoking him to awaken his Vampire Fruit. As Redfield ordered the illusions to attack again, Imu joined the assault, leaving Sephiroth facing a combined attack in the sky.

• Roger struck Sephiroth with a Conqueror's Haki shockwave, and an Earth Scroll trapped him underground before he broke free.
• Whitebeard attacked Sephiroth with Murakumogiri, and Sephiroth recognized the attackers as illusions created by Redfield.
• Redfield tried to use an illusion of Sephiroth to command the Hawkeye Seraphim, but it failed to override their orders.
• Sephiroth awakened his Vampire Fruit and threatened Redfield after learning that Redfield's illusions had nearly defeated him.
• Redfield sent the illusions of Sephiroth, Roger, and the others to attack, while Imu leaped into the air to join them.

Sephiroth unleashed a form that burned Armament Haki as fuel, defeated Imu and the other World Government leaders, and ended the Delta Island Battle. He then dismantled the major pirate forces and made Laugh Tale a public destination, bringing the Great Pirate Era to an end.

• Sephiroth used his life force to fuel the Nether Flame Blade with Armament Haki, creating black flames that surpassed ten thousand degrees but could only be sustained briefly.
• Sephiroth broke through Red-Haired Shanks's God Avoidance, destroyed his illusion, knocked Imu unconscious, and killed Redfield and Pato.
• Sephiroth killed Imu, the four Five Elders, and Saint Saturn with the Seraphim and Kuma's help, then joined his forces to defeat the remaining pirates on Delta Island.

Sephiroth held a lavish world-wide wedding and married thirty-four brides. Four months later, he learned the brides were all pregnant and agreed to take responsibility for Charlotte after discovering what had happened while he was drunk on his wedding night.

• Morgans kept Photo King and the other reporters outside Sephiroth’s wedding while people around the world enjoyed free food and entertainment.
• Luffy ate until Usopp dragged him to the guest seats, where guests gathered to watch the ceremony.
• Tesoro hosted the wedding as thirty-four brides joined Sephiroth onstage and agreed to marry him.
• Tokikake wept with envy as Sephiroth was forced by the guests to drink several barrels of strong liquor.
• Four months later, Charlotte told Sephiroth that all the brides were pregnant and revealed she was pregnant too after he had drunkenly slept with her on his wedding night.
• Sephiroth used Blood Recall to remember the night and told Charlotte he would take responsibility for her.
