Ch. 101Meeting

Sephiroth and the Dressrosa delegation met Whitebeard aboard the Moby Dick to negotiate protection for the kingdom while it remained a World Government member. Whitebeard pressured Scarlett for sending a young princess to negotiate, but she stood her ground and revealed a powerful aura.

  • Sephiroth, Scarlett, Kyros, Gild Tesoro, and two Umbrella Corporation employees arrived at Mattathias Island ahead of their meeting with the Whitebeard Pirates.
  • The delegation boarded the Moby Dick and met Whitebeard Edward Newgate, who asked whether Dressrosa intended to leave the World Government.
  • Scarlett explained that Dressrosa wanted Whitebeard's protection without giving up its status as a member nation.
  • Whitebeard questioned Scarlett's authority and unleashed his Conqueror's Haki, making the delegation struggle under the pressure.

Ch. 102Negotiation

Scarlett and Gild Tesoro negotiated with Whitebeard to bring Dressrosa under his protection, offering annual payments and discounted weapons from Umbrella Corporation. Whitebeard accepted the deal and gave them his flag, and the group left Mattathias Island with Sephiroth praising Scarlett’s performance.

  • Scarlett used Conqueror's Haki aboard the Moby Dick, and Whitebeard laughed before hearing her proposal to pay ten billion Belly annually for Dressrosa’s protection.
  • Whitebeard questioned whether the offer was enough, so Gild Tesoro explained that Umbrella Corporation had joined the negotiation and offered discounted weapons.
  • Whitebeard demanded ten billion Belly worth of arms each year for free, and Gild Tesoro agreed to the terms.
  • Whitebeard ordered Marco to give Gild Tesoro the Whitebeard Pirates’ flag, confirming the agreement.
  • The group left Mattathias Island, and Sephiroth praised Scarlett for successfully negotiating with Whitebeard.

  • Sephiroth trained with an enormous barbell and reviewed his month of work, including finding four Devil Fruit users and obtaining the Vulture Fruit and Slip-Slip Fruit.
  • Sephiroth used Kaisa’s belated birthday as a pretext to give him 200 million Belly, and Kaisa introduced him to corrupt Marine and World Government officials, including Spandam.
  • Frank reported that pirates were committing robbery in Island 45, and Sephiroth ordered him to assemble a squad before opening a gateway to the district.
  • Frank failed to lift Sephiroth’s barbell and left to gather the soldiers, who had come to trust Sephiroth because he handled missions himself and shared bounty money with them.

Ch. 106What Kind of King Do You Want to Be?

Ch. 110That's Impossible Too!

Sephiroth reassured Marigold that he would find her a Devil Fruit and began considering which one would suit her. He decided to visit Sky Island in three days to see whether Enel had eaten the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, then spent the evening with the Boa sisters at the villa.

  • Marigold pouted because she was the only Boa sister who had not received a Devil Fruit, and Sephiroth promised to find one for her in the future.
  • Sephiroth rejected the Bubble-Bubble Fruit, the Paste-Paste Fruit, and the Vulture-form Bird-Bird Fruit as unsuitable gifts for Marigold.
  • Sephiroth wondered whether Enel had already eaten the Rumble-Rumble Fruit and decided to visit Sky Island on his next day off.

Ch. 112Jaya Island

Ch. 114I Am Your God!

  • Gild Tesoro knocked Ziegel unconscious, and Stella defeated Gan Fall, leaving both leaders down.

Ch. 115Persuading Them to Surrender

Sephiroth captured the Sky Island priests and Shandia guerrillas, then offered both sides peace and a place under his rule. Gan Fall surrendered, while Ziegel left to consult his tribe’s chief as Sephiroth promised to relight the Lights of Shandora; Gild Tesoro returned with a fortune in gold.

  • Ziegel said the Shandia chief had to decide, so Sephiroth freed him to bring the chief for negotiations.
  • Sephiroth told Gan Fall that the Lights of Shandora were the legendary Song of the Island, and Gan Fall hoped they could end the long war.
  • Gild Tesoro returned in a giant golden form and told Sephiroth the gold could bring in thirty to forty billion Belly.

Ch. 116Negotiation

Sephiroth forced the Shandia Tribe and Skypiea’s leaders to negotiate Umbrella Corporation’s rule and development plans, offering the Shandia a return to Upper Yard and help lighting Shandora’s Light. The leaders accepted a tripartite administration, while Sephiroth warned them to resolve future disputes peacefully or face his force.

  • Ziegel returned to the Shandia Tribe and told the Chieftain that their captured warriors were alive and their captors had offered terms.
  • Ziegel explained that Gan Fall had also been captured and that Sephiroth’s group had proposed letting the Shandia settle in Upper Yard and help light Shandora’s Light in exchange for submission.

Ch. 117Enel

After revealing the Golden Bell to the Shandia and moving it to his temple, Sephiroth flew to Birka and found Enel being abused by priests. He offered to help Enel take revenge in exchange for becoming his subordinate, and Enel accepted.

  • Sephiroth opened a Spatial Gate to the Golden Bell Tower, where the Shandia Chieftain and the others saw the Golden Bell and its Poneglyph.
  • Sephiroth concealed the meaning of Roger's message on the golden base, then helped move the Golden Bell to his temple, where the Shandia Chieftain rang it across Sky Island.
  • Sephiroth left Gild Tesoro to handle the negotiations and flew to Birka, sending Black Bats across the island.
  • Five priests demanded extra offerings from Enel and beat him when he could not pay.
  • Sephiroth approached Enel and asked about the fruit worshipped in Birka's temple, learning that Enel despised the priests who used it to extort the islanders.
  • Sephiroth offered to help Enel take revenge if he became his subordinate, and Enel agreed.

Ch. 118Rumble-Rumble Fruit

Sephiroth took Enel to Birca’s temple, seized the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, and defeated the island’s priests. After Enel took revenge on five men who had bullied him, Sephiroth arranged for Gild Tesoro to train him and returned to Sabaody, leaving Birca’s occupation to his allies.

  • Marigold kissed Sephiroth and ate the Rumble-Rumble Fruit despite its awful taste.
  • Rayleigh warned that powerful Haki could overcome most Devil Fruit abilities, and Sephiroth agreed that fruit users should keep training their physical prowess.

Ch. 120Changing Heaven and Earth

After bidding farewell to Hancock and her sisters, Sephiroth returned to his Marine duties while struggling to control his blood-hungry Bat Clone. Brigadier General Kaisa then invited him into a scheme to embezzle funds by falsifying warship damage, and Sephiroth agreed.

  • Sephiroth helped the Kuja Pirates load money and weapons onto the Perfume Yuda, then watched Hancock and her sisters sail away.
  • Shakky explained that Hancock would lead the Kuja Pirates while the three sisters proved their strength, and Sephiroth reflected on their Haki and Devil Fruit abilities.
